[Goodwill] Idols and Their Warm Hearts & Good Deeds

Celebrities tend to have a great realm of influence, but it’s undeniable that idols are some of the most closely watched celebs in the business. So when idols go out of their way and do something other than sing, dance or entertain, the media (and the general public) notices.

Here are just a few idols who have stood out for not just their flashy moves on stage, but also their warm hearts.

As mentioned earlier, Sean (one of our featured socialtainers) has had a very apparent influence on his fellow YG Family members.

As Sean is one of the founders of the ‘10,000 Won Miracle’ project, which collects funds to benefit disabled children, the charity has been featured at Big Bang’s concerts, while Se7en and 2NE1 and other YG members have all been featured promoting the project. YG also works closely with Kiehl’s, to design and sell cosmetics, the profits of which will go towards charities.

2NE1 and Gummy also joined hands with another beloved project of one of our socialtainers, Cha In Pyo, as the two participated in a Companion charity concert in Taean on February 23. 2NE1 previously performed in another Companion concert in Vietnam in 2012.

Most recently, 2NE1, Se7en and Sean all participated in the 2013 Severance Love Share Concert, which helps collect funds to help patients in need.

But lest you think the idols are simply using their well-promoted skills to help out, the YG family members also know how to get down and dirty.

The YG family members have helped out with the charity ‘Love Coal’, and distributed coal briquettes to keep unfortunate families warm in the winter and have often personally visited patients in hospitals.

Following her performance of a live, acoustic version of G-Dragon’s “Heartbreaker,” which she first performed during YG Family Concert in 2011, 2NE1’s Sandara Park made a surprise appearance, touching Gummy deeply because didn’t know about the guesting. Sandara spoke of her gratitude to Gummy for taking good care of her during her trainee days and exclaimed that she is her own role model; Gummy then said that among her hoobaes (juniors), Sandara was the prettiest, showing their warm and close friendship.

OhDara Special: Monthly Round-Up – Lotsa Loving For Dara Lovers in February

 The month of love – February – has been full of love for us Dara fans! It may not seem like we didn’t get much action this month (or for the past few months for that matter T_T) but if we take a closer look, we do have so many things to be thankful for! ^^ And here we go with our second monthly round-up!

First and foremost is Dara‘s gorgeous, flawless photoshoot for Elle Korea titled, “Say My Name,” which was perfection in its finest! YG Entertainment set us all in a frenzy when they announced that each of the 2NE1 girls would be featured in four differentmagazines. And oh what an awesome features it turned out to be! Each of the girls absolutely shined in
their respective magazine photoshoot and interview.

Dara’s magazine was Elle Korea. Elle is the world’s largest fashion magazine and one of the top 10 most popular Koraen fashion magazines. I felt really happy that Dara was featured in Elle. I know that I wasn’t the only one who positively gaped and had extremely ecstatic feels bordering on hysteric hyperventilation when I first saw her photos in the magazine. Dara was gorgeous. She had her hair in soft curls that was simply styled down, tumbling on her shoulders or in a loose ponytail; no crazy hairstyles this time. She had toned-down, barely-there make-up with a just the right shade of powder pink lipstick. Her clothes leaned towards neutral colors of white and brown, with a refreshing popout of blue and yellow, courtesy of her Fendi skirt. It’s really quite impossible to choose a favorite photo (Really, how can you choose between one shot of perfection to the other? It’s like forcing me to choose between the bass guitar and keyboards, both of which I truly love equally. T_T). But if you really have to make me choose (like if my life depended on it or something), I’d choose THIS shot:

News: Sandara Park’s Timeless Beauty – Does She Look Younger As Time Goes On?

2NE1 Sandara Park‘s unchanging appearance has become an internet hot issue.

Recently, a post was made on an online community board with the title, “The difference between a 27-year-old and a 30-year-old,” showing screencaptures of Sandara Park in a TV show 3 years ago and pictures of her at the airport returning to Japan on the 9th.

The first photos showed a 27-year-old Sandara Park in 2010, as she appeared on a television broadcast. On that scene, she was proudly showing the hat that was a gift to her from Big Bang’s Taeyang. Sandara Park was showed her adorable and attractive charms with her cute smile, as she voiced out her gratitude to Taeyang for the warm hat that he had gifted her with.

The photos that followed showed a more recent picture of Sandara Park, but still wearing the same hat that she did in 2010. These photos were taken at the airport when she arrived back to Korean from Japan, where she went to watch Se7en‘s concerts there on the 7th and 8th. Sandara Park’s clean skin and good looks were clearly shown.

There’s a three-year difference between the pictures, but people were surprised when they saw the photos and saw that there was no change between this person in her 20s and in her 30s. Netizens who saw the post commented with, “This is a bit scary,” “She even appears younger in her 30s,” “Sandara Park doesn’t seem to grow old,” “She really does appear to get even younger-looking as the years pass. It’s a bit creepy,” “While other people seem to sag by the time they reach their late 20s, Sandara Park seems to do the opposite,” “Why does looking at this make feel a bit angry?” showing their various reactions.

Info/Rumor: Will KESH be working with 2NE1?

A few days ago, KESH tweeted that she has big news and that she will be working with “Korean Superstars” soon. Blackjacks didn’t put too much into it but just an hour ago, she tweeted a photo tagging CL saying, “these will be with you soon!” Is this for 2NE1? Is this for a solo project for CL? As of now, we can only speculate! Here’s hoping that this is for 2NE1’s much awaited comeback!

Professional baseball players from team LG Twins, Lee Dong Hyun and Bong Jung Keun, appeared on Shindong‘s “SimSimTapa” radio programme.

They were asked, “Who is your favorite girl group member?” Lee Dong Hyun answered SNSD’s Jessica, while Bong Jung Keun named Sandara Park without hesitation.

I don’t know if you guys remember, but Bong Jung Keun has already revealed his admiration for Dara way back in 2010 while 2NE1 was doing their promotions for To Anyone.
