YG revealed the fourth content from their channel YG STAGE (www.ygstage.com), their subsidiary for actors and actresses, sharing new planned contents and news.
YG and LVMH Group had revealed their partnership in the pats. Much curiosity was raised when teasers were uploaded recently as to who were the actors that took part of the project, making the public have high expectations. Finally, questions were answered. YG representatives of siblings chemistry, Sandara Park and Kang Seungyoon, have met up again for this project, showing a new look.
This was YG STAGE’s first collaboration project with LVMH project, the photoshoot showed the charming visuals of Sandara Park and Kang Seungyoon in a couple shoot. They revealed the dream-like atmosphere and stunning visuals that will surely delight the viewers.
With the title, PYGMALION, the photoshoot started happily, showing a beautiful and sophisticated atmosphere, with the two actors harmonizing with each other and with luxurious background showing off lush nature and various classical statues.
Wearing clothes form the 16FW collection with striking graphic patterns, Kang Seungyoon steps up to the camera first. The shoot starts with him releasing tension with a cute expression on his face, making the people on the set laugh.
Kang Seungyoon who takes several poses in front of statues, makes every shot come alive with his bold pose and expression.
Kang Seungyoon’s force in the pictorial is the same one he shows when he’s on stage, showing an atmosphere of a man exploding with charms, his stylishness harmonizes with the colorful patterns of his clothing and his chic expressions.
After Kang Seungyoon’s solo shots have finished, it’s time for Sandara Park to take her solo pictures. Before coming before the camera, Sandara Park seems to have formed a concept while waiting. Facing the camera, everyone seems to wait with bated breaths as her presence commands that everyone watch. Sandara Park shows an amazing amount of concentration.
Showing a beautiful and powerful charisma during the shoot, Sandara Park takes a cute selca when a break in the shooting was cute, showing an adorable expression to the fans. Although it was a filming was difficult, because of Sandara Park’s happy demeanor and friendly expression, the atmosphere was harmonious and fun.
Sandara Park who showed her charming eyes to the camera, also revealed a different image and charm that makes the heart of those watching flutter. While being photographed in front of a pond, she gave off a pure and elegant charm that brought out the protective instinct of everyone.
Finally, the couple shots that everyone was waiting for! They have acted together in the past and knew each other well, so they gave off a friendly atmosphere and were in-synch with each other. And because they were at ease and were eager and tireless in trying out various concepts, the photographer was able to do his job happily and the photoshoot went on smoothly.
Oh Jin Hyuk, who was in charge of the project’s production, wanted the two to naturally express the love between two people who are separated by disatance. They showed off an emotional chemistry of separated lovers. Because of the two actors captivating charm and attention to detail, beautiful results were able to come out, as the photographer alternately worked with a film camera and a digital camera.
Like mythological heroes who were not able to fulfill their love, but were able to express their affections and sentiments, the on-site staff who quietly held their breath as they all watched this unfold to the final cut. Will they be able to fulfill their love as expected?
Even if they are not told, but these two actors who are in synch as they look at the same direction, have the same expression, and even the same gestures! Because of their perfect synchonization and harmony, the photoshoot left a good impression. As they put on different clothes, the two actors completed a couple look that was lovely to look at. The general manager of the brand visited Asia and was impressed with the filming results, saying it exceeded expectations.
When the two actors realized that it was the final cut already, they laughed vibrantly, showing their light rapport. Because of the bright atmosphere of the two actors, the filming finished with a happy atmosphere.
With this joint project of two companies that both have a strong unique sense and high capabilities, the expectations of their collaboration are high. With the excellent creativity from YG and the clothing brand, along with the two actors who showed their charms well, the outcome of the filming went over and beyond the expectations.

Korean pop star and 2NE1 member Sandara Park, known by her fans as Dara, was at Mid Valley last night for a Moonshot launch event. Dara is the face of Moonshot makeup, along with G-Dragon (who sadly wasn’t there). The singers and the makeup brand are under the YG Entertainment Group.
Thousands of fans descended on the mall and surrounded the event enclosure, unleashing ear-piercing screams when she walked in. Oozing elegance and composure, Dara spoke flawless English answering questions from the media during the press conference. She gawked at the number of fans looking down from the upper levels and stayed after the media session to give lucky Sephora Black Card members a gift.
The media session consisted of an introduction to the new makeup Cushions – the Microfit Cushion identified as the GD Cushion, and the Moonflash Cushion named the Dara Cushion. Microfit is a beige, spongy-looking cushion that brightens skin with an anti-darkening formula, and Moonflash has a milky pink texture, luminising skin with a strobing effect and invisible pearls. Both go on super light and undetectable, the apparent secret to Dara’s ultra radiant, youthful-looking complexion.

Here, Dara caught the giggles while answering a question about how she gets all the gunk off her face after big concerts and photo shoots.
Dara made a heart sign (!) to all the media who were busy snapping pics (us included). Isn’t she sweet?
At one point fans on the upper levels started belting out her songs at top volume, prompting her to look up and smile at them. More screams followed.
Before leaving, she snapped a photo with the night’s host Josiah Mizukami, flashing another peace sign.
She then fetched her mobile phone from her manager and snapped photos of us. The crowd surged forward In attempts to get in on her photo.
Then it was really time for her to go, but not before she gave us those signature finger hearts, K-pop style.
Dara then bade her fans farewell, which was greeted with much booing and ‘no’s’.
And for a final adieu, she bade us goodbye too. It was awesome to see her in person and get an up-close view of her flawless, glowing skin. Moonshot CEO Peter told us a G-Dragon fragrance will be launching mid-year, so we can only keep our fingers crossed they’ll be bringing him over too!

Last month, fans were thrilled to find out that Sandara Park was in Manila for a brief period – thanks to her Instagram account where the Korean pop star chronicled her activities. Little did they kow that she was here to to do a photo shoot with Penshoppe to join Mario Maurer, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne and Sean O’Pry as the new face of the brand.
Style Bible visited her during the said photo shoot shot by Cliff Watts (He shot Cara’s and Sean’s Penshoppe campaigns, too, and flew in from New York for Sandara’s.) Wearing a knit vest, a white button-down with Peter Pan collar, skinny jeans, a fedora hat and a pair of oxfords, she gamely answered our questions – in fluent Filipino, by the way. Read on!
STYLE BIBLE: Tell me about your outfit today.
DARA PARK: This look is very Sandara Park – from head to toe. Lahat basic items lang in black and white. Meron pants kanina from the photo shoot na super gusto ko. It’s very hip, very Dara from 2NE1. DP: Yes, meron! Usually, t-shirt and jeans, flats and a hat. Ito yung lagi kong sinusuot since two years ago. I have a lot of fedora hats. Ang dami ko din jeans. Favorite ko yung skinny jeans. And gusto ko ngayon yung rolled up jeans. (Yes, there is! Usually, t-shirt and jeans, flats and a hat. This is what I often wear, since two years ago. I have a lot of fedora hats. SB: When it comes to dressing up, what’s your favorite season?

DP: Yung mga sneakers ko. Kahit di ko na sinusuot yung iba parang di ko kaya itapon. Madumi na pero nandyan pa din sila. I just like seeing them there. They’re like my babies. I have a room full of sneakers only, separate pa from the clothes. Every time I see something cute, I buy. I couldn’t stop myself. (My sneakers. Even if I don’t wear the others, I still don’t throw them out. Some are dirty already, but they’re still there. I just like seeing them there. They’re like my babies. Known for its fresh take on casual wear, Penshoppe sizzles this season as they reveal their newest face: Sandara Park.
Starting out as a local favorite, the former teen star set the roof on fire as she returned to South Korea and debuted as one of the members of K-Pop group 2NE1 in 2009. But her music career wasn’t the only thing that rocketed. As the group takes a break to concentrate on their solo careers, Sandara has been seen starring on web dramas and modeling for editorials. Recently posing for publications like, DAZED Korea, W Korea, ELLE Korea, and Vogue Girl Korea, she also proves her great interest in fashion industry.
Recently spotted at the 2015 Fall/Winter Seoul Fashion Week with her brother Park Sang Hyun, Sandara stood out as she switched from casual to hip-hop ensembles in between the Munsoo Kwon and Beyond Closet shows, showing off her savvy fashion sense. Now, Sandara flashes her fresh and quirky style in her first Penshoppe campaign.
Catering to anyone, Urban Rebels consists of utilitarian and Japanese street art-inspired tees, pullovers, joggers, biker jeans, and neoprene skirts and pants. There couldn’t be anyone more fitting to embody their latest collection than the Asian Superstar herself.
As Sandara takes a quick break from her shoot for the campaign, we sat down with Penshoppe’s newest ambassador to have a quick chat:
With your music career with 2NE1 on hold, what have you been focusing on lately?
This year, I’ve been acting for a web drama. I’ve recently ventured into being an actress.
You’ve just landed a leading role for the Korean version of Begin Again. How have you been preparing for this? Do you feel any pressure about it?
Yeah, of course there’s pressure, but it’s the good kind of pressure that gets me excited. Actually, it’s not really a Korean version of Begin Again. The story revolves around music, but we have our own rendition of it. It’s different.
Going into fashion, your Instagram feed shows that you’ve been gracing the pages of fashion magazines, and just recently, Vogue Girl Korea. How do you feel about modeling for the editorials?
I love it ‘cause I didn’t really do that much shoots before, so I kinda got hungry for photo shoots. For Vogue Girl, we shot it in Hawaii and I enjoyed it so much. It showed a different side of Sandara Park. ‘Cause before I used to always have that hip-hop vibe, and for that editorial, I kinda went a bit dainty, just like a princess.
Is there anyone you look up to in the fashion industry?
Actually, it changes I can’t pick one. I just Google and see anyone who’s cool.
How would you describe your personal style?
Probably unique. I love something cute and unique that doesn’t follow any trend.
Who or what influences your personal style?
Before, it was my stylist. He’s really weird and unique in a good way, so he influenced me a lot.
Was it more on hip-hop or street wear?
Yes, it’s street wear. It’s like he found a new Sandara Park, and I was really happy and excited about it. The way I dress right now is all influenced by him.
What’s your go-to outfit? Like on your day-off wear?
I usually wear something casual like jeans, T-shirts, and sometimes a cap or a beanie.
So how do you feel about being the newest face of Penshoppe?
I’m so happy about it ‘cause I’ve always liked Penshoppe ever since I was in high school. I’ve always dreamt of seeing myself on a billboard in EDSA, so I was super excited.
What makes it a perfect fit for your lifestyle and personality?
It really fits my personality ‘cause they have different styles. It’s like everything I like is there.
Amidst your grueling schedule, do you still get time to relax?
Yeah, of course! When I’m in Korea and don’t have work, I’m always at home relaxing with my pets.
What do you do during your down time? So when you’re home, what do you get to do?
I usually watch Koreanovela.
Even the ones you’re in?
Yeah! Of course I watch myself. I’m actually waiting for my next drama.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
Before I used to dream about my future. I’ll be like this and that after 5 years, but now, I don’t know anymore. I’m just really excited about the future.
How do you want the world to know you as?
As Sandara Park, I want people to remember me as krung-krung. It has so many good meanings like crazy and weird but cute and unique, so I really love the word krung-krung. It’s my nickname in the Philippines. They call me the “Pambansang Krung-Krung ng Pilipinas,” and I like it when people call me that.
What are you looking forward to most in the next couple of months?
I’m gonna concentrate on my movie, it’s my first movie in Korea. I don’t know what the title is yet, they’re still thinking about it, but I’m gonna start shooting soon. So I’m excited yet nervous at the same time.
Is there still a side of Dara that the world has yet to have seen?
Maybe the Bitchy Dara. I wanna show that side of myself on a drama or movie.
