News: 2NE1 to Return in August with the Most 2NE1-like Song
2NE1 to Return in August with the Most 2NE1-like Song
[OSEN=Hwang Mi-hyun] 2NE1, who is adorning the music scene with a unique reggae single, will return in August with the most 2NE1-like song.
On July 15 at 10 a.m., YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun-suk announced on the company’s official blog that “2NE1’s new single will be an upbeat song that will blast away the hot summer.”
CEO Yang added, “The music video for the new song will be directed by Seo Hyun-seung and choreographed by Japan’s top female dancer and choreographer Sugawara Koharu.”
2NE1 will be showcasing a song with a fast beat and cheerful melody in August in contrast to its genre-breaking unique reggae song “Falling in Love,” which was released on July 8.
Fans are already paying attention to the release of the new song, as it is expected to follow the mainstream flow of popular yet personality-filled 2NE1 hits such as “It Hurts,” “Ugly,” “Clap Your Hands,” “Lonely,” and “I’m the Best.”
2NE1 plans to release a new song every month from July to October and will showcase a diverse musical experience for its fans starting with the reggae song “Falling in Love” and the new fast and upbeat song for the summer.

News: Double Park TV with Park Bom and Sandara Park to Continue Until End of Year
Double Park TV with Park Bom and Sandara Park to Continue Until End of Year
[OSEN=Hwang Mi-hyun] Double Park TV, the show run by 2NE1 members Park Bom and Sandara Park, is expected to continue until the end of this year.
YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun-suk announced on July 15 at 10 a.m. on the official YG blog that “Park Bom’s and Sandara Park’s Double Park TV is currently underway and since both of them are very attached to the show, they are planning to continue until the end of the year when 2NE1’s activities are supposed to begin again.”
As Double Park TV is an internet program with no regular broadcast plans, fans are paying attention to the two Parks’ spontaneous shows.
Unlike Sandara Park’s and Park Bom’s sophisticated and charismatic selves on stage, their comic and giddy charms are seen by fans as the best part of the show.
CEO Yang explained, “Double Park TV was started because we thought it would be more fun for two characters original enough to be called ‘fourth dimension’ and ‘eighth dimension’ to be in a customized entertainment show run by themselves rather than in the currently existing entertainment shows on TV.”
In a recently revealed preview, Sandara Park and Park Bom are holding YG building passes and IDs that are actually used by YG employees and expressing their joy with hilarious expressions and gestures.
Double Park TV can be seen in 2NE1’s official YouTube channel, the YG official blog, 2NE1’s official LINE, Naver TV CAST and will soon be showing its first episode on the internet.

2NE1 SETS THEMSELVES APART ON INKIGAYO WITH DOUBLE CHARMS: POWER VS BUBBLY
[OSEN=박현민 기자] 2NE1 showed off their double charms of charisma and cuteness on the music program Inkigayo through their comeback and CL’s solo performances.
On July 14, SBS’s Inkigayo, which showed a wrap-up session for the first half year of 2013, CL performed her very first solo song “THE BADDEST FEMALE” that fired up the music world in first half of the year.
Through the flames on stage, CL freely showed her tough and charismatic character by rapping, heating up the audiences of the show.
The performance was followed by staging with three other members, Dara, Bom and Minzy, with their new reggae song “FALLING IN LOVE”. They successfully transformed themselves into cute and bubbly singers, adding more excitement to the performance.
The transformation came once again when the four members performed “THE BADDEST FEMALE” together. It was the first time all members sang CL’s solo song, and it was retouched to become an exciting rhythmic song, perfect for a party.
The performance was indeed a stage filled with 2NE1’s passion. Their enthusiasm for music always helps them become more different and unique every time they release a new song.
Inkigayo, which tied up the first half year of 2013, also included LEE HYORI, SHINee, 2NE1, CNBLUE, K WILL, INFINITE, 4 MINUTE, AFTER SCHOOL, SISTAR, B1A4, GIRL’S DAY, EXO, BAECHIGI, HUH GAK & JEONG EUN-JI, LEE HI and VIXX.

2NE1’s next new song will be released at the beginning of August as planned.
CL’s hip-hop solo song “THE BADDEST FEMALE” and 2NE1’s reggae “FALLING IN LOVE”, which were both
non-mainstream, were a first attempt at the genres for the group. But the new song that is to be released
at the beginning of August is a fast-paced and rhythmic song that is aimed for summer. The song is very 2NE1.
The new music video for the song in August will be directed by director SEO HYUN-SEUNG,
and Japan’s famous choreographer, KOHARU SUGAWARA, who designed the moves for “FALLING IN LOVE”,
will once again choreograph 2NE1’s new song.
Give us a brief explanation on DOUBLE PARK TV
2NE1’s BOM and DARA are diligently filming DOUBLE PARK TV, which will be revealed online soon.
DOUBLE PARK TV does not have any set format for regular viewing, it’s sort of “do whatever you want”
online program. BOM and DARA are showing great affection for the show, so I personally think the two
will be filming it until the end of this month, which is the month 2NE1 will be wrapping up their album activities.
Like you have seen in 2NE1 TV before, the two members are of greatly unique characters, so they embarked on
the DOULBE PARK TV as they thought a non-formatted and customized show would suit them better than
regular TV variety shows.
As you have already seen in the sneak-peek intro video clip of DOUBLE PARK TV, the two idiosyncratic MCs
will be delivering you every tiny detail of what’s happening at YG.

‘Monthly Release?’ 2NE1’s Release Strategy Even Surprised Foreign Media
[OSEN= Young Jin Lim] It seems that foreign media are also surprised at 2NE1’s release strategy of releasing one single per month from July to October.
MTV, Spin.com and Billboard.com of the U.S highlighted 2NE1’s comeback with their new reggae-style single ‘Falling In Love’ and their release strategy to release one single per month for 4 consecutive months.
On 9th, Online version of MTV stated that “2NE1 plans to release singles one per month and this means you will be facing the best days of your life. Well, it all comes down to your definition of ‘Best’ though” as it expressed its deepest interest in 2NE1.
In addition, Billboard also made a news out of 2NE1’s comeback as they stated on July 8th that 2NE1 plans to release one song a month from July to October. Billboard expressed its expectations towards 2NE1’s future career as it wrote “With their single ‘I Love You’, 2NE1 topped music charts for 2 weeks in a row last year. Moreover, 2NE1’s leader CL ranked 4th on the chart (as of June) with her solo ‘The Baddest Female'”.
Unfortunately 2NE1 was unable to actively show up on screens and stages due to a tight schedule such as their world tour last year. It is estimated that 2NE1 will once again sweep Korea’s Summer and Fall by releasing 4 singles in a row starting with ‘Falling In Love’ on 8th this month. 2NE1 aims to release at least 4 songs until October.
YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk commented that he always wished 2NE1 had more time to continue their career in the domestic arena. He added that “This is why we reached a conclusion that it would be better to release these singles one per month, which are outcomes of 2NE1’s tireless efforts in the past 2 years, rather than releasing them in a lump sum. 2NE1 plans to continue their domestic career constantly for this time.” It is also told that they will be throwing a concert in October.
2NE1 is currently wrapping up their current activities on the new single. One related staff from the YG Entertainment stated that 2NE1 is nearly done with their recordings, performance and general preparations.

[OSEN=Lim Young Jin] YG Entertainment which is famous for its unique promotion strategy has appointed 2NE1’s Dara and Bom as its promotion team. How and what they will do is now at the center of the attention.
On 11th, YG has released the trailer for ‘Double Park TV’ on its official blog and gained a lot of attention. The name ‘Double Park’ was chosen based on the fact that Dara and Bom have the same surname. From now on, Dara and Bom are expected to be active in trying different things to get closer to the fans such as sharing daily lives and so on. Member’s SNS will also be utilized.
Regarding the issue, YG Entertainment told OSEN on 13th, “We are discussing what ‘Double Park TV’ should be doing in the future. Since this is a tool to facilitate the direct communication with the fans, ‘Double Park TV’ will play an active role.”
In the trailer video, Dara and Bom dressed up as promotion team members. Unlike the charismatic image they create on stages, they exude comic and clumsy images.
Currently they are communicating with the fans in real time through YG official blog, 2NE1 official Line and Naver TV CAST. Dara and Bom has been active in playing the role of the promotion team by reporting how it is at Mnet ‘M Countdown’ prerecording and responding to fans’ requests.
Meanwhile, 2NE1 has made a comeback in a year with the new song ‘Falling in Love’. 2NE1 is planning the comeback stage on 13th in MBC ‘Music Core’ and on 14th in SBS ‘The Music Trend.
