2NE1 on Instagram, Breaks 47,000 the First Day

2NE1 created an Instagram account yesterday on June 22, and they already have a following of more than 47,000 (54,500 at time of publishing).

Following their announcement that they would feature new releases every month, 2NE1 created an Instagram account to boost their international fan numbers and raise anticipation for the upcoming songs and music videos.

They have only posted two photos so far, with promise of more to come. The two photos include a picture of Minzy, Dara, and Park Bom in ’91 jerseys with the caption “Good morning blackjacks!we back home!<pic by miss CL>,” and a picture of the whole band with Park Bom‘s face covered in a heart sticker and the caption “OPEN!! Where r all our blackjacks at!!! <Bom put the sticker herself>.”

Dara confirmed on her Twitter that this would be the official Instagram account for the four band members, and that they would take turns posting on it.

In her latest photos, Dara was noticed covering her hair. Fans assumed that she might go into a fully shaved hair this time after sporting a half-shaved hair before.

To this, Dara said, “Shaved head after half-shave one is too predictable!!! I’m not a predictable girl~”. Her latest photo was from Minzy’s instagram account, wherein she wrote, “Kongstagram kkk..with Dara”.

She also uploaded a photo of her after finishing a rehearsal. Her hair was wrapped in a bandana with a cap on. However, from the airport photos that emerged today, Dara has seen her hair unwrapped that made fans even more curious. They wrote, “She’s up for something else.”,”It might be a wig!”,”I’m really curious.” and so on.

Can you guess her new hairstyle?

Let’s anticipate it on their ‘Falling In Love’ upcoming comeback in July.

On the 14th, Sandara Park updated her Twitter with, “While I was just waking up, Cheondoongie came home suddenly when my mother went out. He had just come in from a dry rehearsal, went back home to eat, and then said that he must head out once again… Hmmm…. I don’t know how to cook all that well yet, however!!! The menu is~ Fried eggs!” she revealed.

Continuing her tweet, Sandara Park said, “However!!! Cheondoongie was all worried and asked, “Are you including the shells in what you’re making?” Heol. It’s because one time in the past, I left behind tiny bits of the shell while I was cooking fried eggs. It was an honest mistake though, and I’m doing the best to my abilities today!!! Bonus, Vienna sausage!” adding more details.

After a while, she tweeted in addition, “Eldest sister’s fantastic meal is completed, served along with mother’s pre-prepared side dishes!!! But then Cheondoongie had two questions for me. “Did you forget to put salt in the eggs..?” “Is this completely done?” Such suspicions ㅋㅋ However, still took a bowl of rice and ate deliciously,” stating her happiness.

Lastly, Sandara Park updated with, “For my dongsaeng who was longing for a home-cooked food, the meal that was prepared by eldest noona with lots of love. Usually, I really don’t have time to cook, but hastily put out a humble meal so that he can eat deliciously; hoping that he will enjoy a good stage on Music Bank today! Fighting~” uploading a picture showing a meal, and proving once more that she is in fact, a dongsaeng-babo (T/N: fool for her brother).

In the photo that she uploaded, it showed the meal that Sandara Park had prepared for her younger brother, Cheondoong. On top is a bowl of white race, fried eggs, and quail eggs with jangjorim (T/N: salty beef side dish). Even with the simple fare, the love she has for her younger brother is extremely apparent.

Netizens were touched by Sandara Park‘s updates and commented with, “Sandara Park and Cheondoong are so cute together,” “Sandara Park is definitely a dongsaeng babo,” “Delicious,” “Thunder’s initial response is cute,” “This is really heart-warming,” “Indefinite love for a brother,” they said.

MBLAQ‘s Mir and Thunder may both have older sisters in the entertainment industry, but the two of them have incredibly different outlooks on their sisters.

On the June 10 installment of ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Thunder was asked if he thought his older sister, 2NE1‘s Dara, was pretty. He answered, “When I see her at home, I don’t think she’s that pretty. But when she’s on stage with the others, I think she’s really pretty.” The MCs joked, “Are you saying the other female celebrities are ugly? Like Girls’ Generation?“. Thunder quickly corrected himself and stated, “I mean that since she’s so pretty even among pretty people, I realize she’s very pretty.”

However, Mir thought the exact opposite! On his sister actress Go Eun Ah, he said, “My sister is the worst of the worst“. When the MCs repeated what he said, he emphasized, “The worst of the worst of the worst! Even when my mother sees my sister at home, she says, ‘There’s a hobo over there’.”

Still, Seungho chose Go Eun Ah as being closer to his ideal type, and Lee Joon said he’d pick Dara out of the two. As for G.O, he chose Dara because he saw Go Eun Ah and the rest of Mir’s family too often.

Article: 2NE1’s “Lonely” Chosen as #8 of Best Idol Song of All Time

The song “Tell Me” by the idol group Wonder Girls has been chosen has the Best Idol Hit Song of all times.

From May 26 to May 30, Research Panel Korea took an online survey that asked “Which song is the best song from idol groups?” Approximately 21,955 people participated in the survey and chose the song “Tell Me” by the girl group Wonder Girls as the best hit song of all times. The song “Tell Me” received about 27% of the votes (5,866 people).

Wonder Girls released “Tell Me” back in 2007. As soon as the song was released, the song ranked No.1 on countless music charts. The choreography was also a huge hit and created a “Tell Me” wave in Korea.

Next up was Big Bang‘s “Lies” with 4,415 votes, which is about 20% of the votes. Girls’ Generation‘s “Gee” ranked third with 4,268 votes, which is about 19%.

IU‘s “Good Day”, Super Junior‘s “Sorry Sorry”, Brown Eyed Girls‘ “Abracadabra”, Sistar‘s “Alone” and 2NE1‘s “Lonely” followed after.

Every Kpop fan has their favorite group, and for those who are really very familiar with Kpop, they even have favorite groups in each genre.  Here’s a fun list of Top 10 Kpop groups based on popularity of recent performance.

Dara tweeted, “Da Rong who came back from watching a theater performance. The show is really fun to watch! It’s not difficult to understand+.+ I’ve seen many fun theater performances. But if you watch this theatrical show titled, ‘Happiness‘, with someone you love as you hold hands together, you two will love each other more^^. Aziatix rapper Flowsik is not shy about his little crush on 2NE1’s Dara – well, not to the rest of the world – face-to-face is another story. But now that the two follow each other on Twitter, could this finally be his in? Or perhaps the start of something?

If you Google “Dara Flowsik” over 25,000 results pop up, proving this little one-sided love has been gaining the attention of Blackjacks and Aziaddicts for quite some time, at least since Aziatix’s debut back in 2011.

In a recent interview with KpopStarz, Flowsik was asked about his new Twitter relationship with vocalist Sandara Park – and at the very mention of her name his ears turned red and he was rendered speechless.

A smile and some giggles were about all that came out of him for a little while as he tried to regain composure. A feat that proved slightly difficult as he was being teased by his Aziatix group mates Nicky Lee and Eddie Shin.

Giving a big grin and wave to the camera, Flowsik managed to get out a cute, if not completely embarrassed-looking “Hi, Sandara.”

An unapologetic fanboy, Flowsik has mentioned Dara on many occasions in the past, and the topic now seems to be a given anytime an interviewer has a chance to speak with Aziatix.

And Dara, the object of affection for many a fanboy, seems to be okay with the public attention from Flowsik. They have been tweeting with each other since late March when she sent him a good morning message. His response? “Oh my god…. what’s up girl!”

So far things have been very professional between the two – an exchange of “nice to meet you,” a hopeful collaboration suggestion, and a congratulatory tweet about 2NE1’s four-year anniversary. But Flowsik’s crush is egged on my his group mate Nicky, who appears to find the situation endearingly hilarious and retweets the rapper’s messages to Dara.

Nicky is either the best wingman in the world or just gets a big kick out of embarrassing Flowsik – either way, fans are paying attention!

In a USTREAM event last year with fans, Flowsik recounted when he saw 2NE1 (and specifically Dara) in person at the airport after an awards show in Singapore. “I just choked. I didn’t know what to say,” he said. After a sigh he added, “It’s okay. My time will come.”

Maybe his time will come soon. Aziatix is about to release their latest album and go off on a worldwide promotional tour starting in Asia. Sandara’s group 2NE1 is also preparing their highly anticipated comeback, so paths are bound to cross at some point.

We just hope that Flowsik doesn’t choke!

Although ‘May’hem has come and gone in K-pop, the all-star battle is far from over.

In June, many artists are slated to make their comebacks, including idol artists like 2NE1, MBLAQ,SISTAR, After School and Rainbow. Audition stars such as Ulala Session and Two Months, as well as one of the few solo female artists, Ivy, will be returning to K-pop this month.

MBLAQ’s fifth mini album Sexy Beat will feature the title song “Smoky Girl” which will display controlled ‘sexy’ with a sense of chicness.

In the second week of June, Sistar, After School and Ivy will make their comebacks.On June 11, Sistar will hit the K-pop scene with songs produced by Brave Brothers, who previously produced Sistar’s hit records like “Alone” and “My Boy.” ‘Sexy queen’ Ivy will come back on June 13 with her new mini album Interview Part 2 which is reported to feature a dance song as its title record.

On June 28, 2NE1 will return to stage together with a new song to celebrate their 4-year anniversary.

The third week of June will consist of Dal Shabet and Kim Ye Rim from Two Months. Last but not least, Ulala Session will return with a new album near the end of the month, making their first music since the passing of their leader, Lim Yoon Taek.
