Big Bang and 2NE1 Become Only K-Pop Groups to Win at ‘2015 YouTube Music Awards’
Big Bang and 2NE1 have made it to the list of 2015 YouTube Music Awards′s 50 winners as the only K-Pop groups, proving their popularity and status.
With the 2015 YouTube Music Awards ceremony coming up, YouTube tweeted unveiled the list of the 50 winners along with their music videos on March 2.
Big Bang and 2NE1 have made the list along with some of the most popular global artists, such as Sam Smith, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Lady Gaga, Drake and more.
YouTube wrote, “These are the artists with the biggest growth in views, subscribers and engagement over the last six months,” describing the artists as the “50 innovative acts that continue to make YouTube the place where artists and fans connect.”
The 2015 YouTube Music Awards will be a little different from other award ceremonies. Following the release of the winners list on March 2, it will be introducing the new music videos of renowned artists, such as Charli XCX and Ed Sheeran, as well as rising stars on March 23, continuing its celebration for the ceremony.
The list of the 50 winners and their videos are available on the official channel of 2015 YTMA.
Meanwhile, Big Bang is currently preparing for a new album to be released after three years while 2NE1’s CL is preparing for her debut in America. Sandara Park has been cast in the Korean-Chinese web drama Doctor Ian and will be meeting with the fans through acting.

2NE1 Becomes First K-pop Girl Group To Get 2MM Youtube Channel Subscribers!
Artists of YG Entertainment continue to prove that they are very influential when it comes to having an empire of followers and supporters.
Big Bang quite sometime ago made it as the first K-Pop group to surpass 2 million YouTube subscribers. And then there is Psy, of course. Psy continues to top the list for the most viewed video, and having close to 7MM subscribers!
Now, another YG Entertainment talent is gaining much attention. K-pop’s fierce girl group, 2NE1, very recently became the first ever female group to reach 2MM subscribers! With excitement pouring for their next album and world tour, All or Nothing, it looks like 2NE1‘s Youtube channel is also getting busy.
2NE1 is currently preparing for their world tour, which is set to begin at home in Seoul at the end of the month. They will also be participating in the recently announced YG Family concert.

YG Entertainment wins three awards from YouTube
[by Cho Suyoun] YG Entertainment was awarded ‘YouTube Partner Gold Play‘ for its three channels of PSY, Bigbang and 2NE1.
On September 25, YouTube Pulse event was held in Hannamdong, Seoul. At this event, YG Entertainment was awarded ‘YouTube Partner Gold Play’ for being leader in using SNS as PR tool.
At the award, the company was awarded the most for having three popular channels of PSY, Bigbang and 2NE1 as all three musicians are part of YG Entertainment.
The ‘Gold Play’ award is given only to channels that own more than 1 million followers. As of today, PSY has more than 6 million while Bigbang and 2NE1 each has 2 million and 1.7 million. If all the channels that YG own are added up, there are 12 million followers, which is very extraordinary for other entertainments.
According to a survey organization, YG is the company that uses other types of SNS channels the most. Facebook is also actively used by the company. According to record, 1st to 5th celebrity that are most powerful on Facebook all belong to YG Entertainment.
G-Dragon especially is selected as most powerful K-POP star on Twitter and China’s biggest SNS Weibo. On the day he opened up an account on Weibo, G-Dragon drew nearly 300,000 followers in just one day.
