2NE1 Gets More Sleep after Reaching Taiwan, Dara Flaunts her Chinese

2NE1 had went straight to the hotel to catch up on their sleep after arriving from the States yesterday morning. They had a press conference in the afternoon but were still looking tired. Leader CL laughed while saying that they were always travelling across the world so the time difference is not a problem and they will always find time to sleep whenever they are free.

Bom always finds time to do sit ups whenever she’s free in order to maintain her figure and exercise, and she tries her best to do up to 100 times. However, CL laughed by saying “She’s so good at lying!”.

Dara, who has the most petite figure, has learnt Chinese before and flaunts herperfect Chinese by introducing herself in Chinese. “I am Dara, 28 years old this year. I have a younger brother named Thunder ( a member of MBLAQ).”

Korean girl group 2NE1 came to Taiwan for the first time at around 5am yesterday, attracting over 100 fans at the air port to welcome them and making them touched. They insisted on being “trendy no matter the timing“. Member Dara showed up with a Tigger (Winnie The Pooh character) outfit, (T/N: I know it’s a JS design but the Taiwan media used Tigger instead) CL wore a pair of shades with smiley faces. Members were very friendly towards the “early birds” fans by shaking hands with them, making fans excited and said that “It was worth it even if my Liver explodes!”

2NE1, who consisted of CL, Dara, Bom & Minzy, is a sister group of the Korean famous group, BIGBANG. They debuted 3 years ago with Hip Hop style and their fans are mainly females.

They arrived from LAX to Taoyuan airport, attracting many fans to wait for them at the airport to welcome them. Despite boarding the plane for more than 10 hours, they were still fashionstas. CL who was wearing a pair of shades with smiley faces said “We like to dress up prettily off stage too. I’m thankful for everyone who likes our style.”

Although they loved dressing up cooly, their method of protecting their throats are very traditional. During the interview yesterday, Park Bom revealed that “I gargle with salt water every morning and wears a mask whenever I’m out.” However, CL said “I tried drinking stewed pear water ( it is supposed to be good for throat and voice ) , it’s not very effective. Sleeping is still the best.” Minzy then said she drank hot tea to protect her throat.

They will be performing at 730pm tonight at Taipei Arena, and their tickets are already 80% sold. To buy their tickets, please visit ticket.com.tw.

Demand for 2NE1 Is Revealed Through Creative Marketing Events in Singapore

2NE1 is fast becoming a brand on its own, leading to creative events for new products.

First, there was a guerilla performance by the girls earlier this month to launch SingTel‘s newest product.  Ahead of their concert,  SingTel is once again proving the power of the 2NE1 brand by introducing another new product with 2NE1 inspired party.

In Singapore on the night of November 14th, SingTel is launching its Loop and Meet app through a 2NE1 inspired party where revelers will prove if they are Blackjack enough and get the chance to win tickets to 2NE1‘s upcoming concert.   The app was developed by SingTel’s digital media group as a gallery and meeting maker of things to do in Singapore and likely beyond.   If successful, the app would be another way to spread the word and connect about Kpop entertainment events in Singapore and the region.

The party will be held at Singapore’s Butter Factory beginning 6-10 pm.
