YG Entertainment has recently announced that the artist who is to make their comeback on May 28 will either be 2NE1 or CL. Now all eyes are on the two possibilities.

On May 13 at 2p.m., on its official blog, the Entertainment agency has posted a teaser image of the artist making a comeback on May 28. Fans were excited to see 2NE1 and CL’s names highlighted in the image.

Whether it be 2NE1 or CL, the public is happy with the news. Fans are patiently waiting for 2NE1 as they have not released any new songs for the last one year, after their digital single “I Love You” last year.

But if CL makes a comeback, that would be her first solo debut. This is exciting news for the fans. Bom and Dara were the only members who have also released their solos in 2NE1, and the fans have not yet seen CL, the leader, release her very own song.

2NE1 was the first Korean girl group to hold a world tour, and it was a huge success. Since their global concert, 2NE1 joined in on other artists’ concerts as a guest artist. Those occasional appearances quenched the thirst of their fans.

In April they were on stage with the global star Psy for his exclusive concert, and around the same time were also at G-Dragon’s concert for a remarkable performance. The most special was when the group performed with the American hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg on May 4 for a joint performance.

Whenever 2NE1 is on stage the venue fills with excitement and enthusiasm. This is no wonder that the fans have always been waiting for their comeback.

To console the waiting fans, 2NE1 had repeatedly told them that the group “will release a new album.” And they would always add, “Please stay tuned!”

Their words show that it will highly likely be 2NE1 making a comeback on 28. The hint is, if you add all the numbers in May (5) 28, 2013, it equals 21. It was a unique hint borne by the brains of YG Entertainment.

Apart from 2NE1 and CL, there are artists lined up to make a comeback from YG. Personnel from the Entertainment said, “starting from May 28 until the second half of this year, there will be scores of YG artist making comebacks. Along with our CEO Yang Hyun-suk, the artists and staff members are putting concerted effort into preparation.” Now the expectations of the fans will only go higher.

The American students of Harvard University who went to hear the speech of famous singer Psy cheered out loud as the singer mentions about girl group 2NE1 who is under the same agency as him.

On the 9th of May, PSY opened his speech at Harvard University Memorial Church with a brief explanation on how his hit song “Gangnam Style” was uploaded on Youtube. PSY said, “Our company has 2NE1,” making the audience cheer out loud which surprised Psy.

He added, “Looking at now (by how the audience reacted), 2NE1 really has a lot of international fans. That is the reason why the artists from our agency releases their music videos on Youtube which can also be seen by foreign fans. Until now, it’s still like that so Gangnam Style was released online as well.”

YG Entertainment revealed a notice announcing the comeback teaser date on the 28th, of one of its singers or teams, catching the attention of many.

On the afternoon of May 6th, YG Entertainment posted a teaser image with the words, “WHO’S NEXT? 2013.5.28” On the teaser image, the names of YGE artists were posted, such as Big Bang, Psy, 2NE1, Epik High, Gummy, as well as Kang Seung Yoon, and the YG rookie group which has yet to be named. On the upcoming 28th, a YG singer or group would be making their comeback announcement, sparking the attention of fans and netizens.

In the cases of both Big Bang and 2NE1, neither groups have yet to introduce new songs, as their schedules were all full last year due to their respective world tours; on the other hand, the new YG girl group is still clouded in secrecy, making speculations going around as well.

But given the time frame, it has been known that 2NE1 and Big Bang have been doing recording and preparing for a long time, so a possibility of an album from either group is more likely, since G-Dragon has recently released a song that has already become popular. It was previously announced that 2NE1 would be standing on the same stage as Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion during his first concert in Korea, and fans were finally able to see the idol group and hip hop superstar perform together!

Snoop Dogg held his first ever concert in Korea, ‘Unite All Originals Live with Snoop Dogg‘, on May 4 at the Olympic Park in Seoul. While Snoop Dogg was performing his hit song “Drop It Like It’s Hot“, 2NE1 entered the stage and performed with Snoop Dogg himself.

Snoop Dogg also brought the house down with his performances of “Here Comes the King“, “Gin and Juice“, “Nothing But A G’ Thang“, “I Wanna Love You“, “The Next Episode“, “Signs“, and more. It has been confirmed that 2NE1 and Snoop Dogg will be collaborating in Snoop Dogg′s first concert in Korea, the Unite All Originals Live with Snoop Dogg, to be held on May 4.

A rep from Adidas Originals, the host of the concert, told enews on April 30, “2NE1 will not only perform its own songs, but it will also perform with Snoop Dogg in a special performance. You can look forward to this collaboration between Snoop Dogg and 2NE1, a team which gives inspiration to even foreign artists.”

2NE1 has previously collaborated with such global pop singers as Black Eyed Peas′ will.i.am and apl.de.ap, a fact which draws attention to what the group will have in store for this new mix.

The hip-hop duo The Airplane Boys as well as the DJ crew DDND MVMT will also be turning up the heat at the concert as the opening lineup.

Almost 29 and not looking it, 2NE1’s Sandara Park was chosen as the number one vampire star that doesn’t age.

From April 8 to April 28, makeup brand, Clio, held a poll on its website, asking netizens to choose the vampire star that doesn’t seem to age.

On the list were Sandara Park, Choi Kang Hee, Im Soo Jung, Soy, and Jang Nara, all who are known for their baby faces.

The results were revealed on April 29 with Sandara Park at number one with 51.6 percent of the votes. Choi Kang Hee was second with 22.2 percent, Im Soo Jung at 15.1, Jang Nara at 8.2, and Soy at 2.9 percent. A total of 1750 people participated in the poll.

Sandara Park also happens to be the current model for Clio.
