Because of all the support you have shown for my comeback reports the last time~ We can meet again for the behind the scenes of Double Park TV *clap, clap, clap*! It’s the talk of the town these days^.^;;; Double Park TV!!! Are there people among you does not know Double Park TV yet? Then I’ll have to inform you, right! <Double Park TV> is composed of 2NE1‘s awesome Public Relations team, Double Park (Park Bom, Park Sandara), which took a lead on 2NE1’s internet broadcasting. You can watch this fun. refreshing. and exciting broadcast via Naver TV Cast and YouTube. A few days ago, we were finally able to release the first episode; for those who were able to watch, how was it? Did you guys find it interesting? It felt really great when you guys sent your encouraging messages saying that you found it fun and interesting. In the future, I will be revealing the behind the scenes stories that aren’t shown on Double Park TV, here on Naver Star Cast, so let’s all look forward to that together~!!

Our Double Park did not have any budget to do promotions, and because Yang-sajangnim told us that we should be self-sufficient, we had the idea to sell 21 pairs of special, limited edition Double Park socks in order to raise money. Because I’m the Manager of Public Relations, I worked extra hard painting the pickets myself and putting up the strings.

Finally finished!!! The promotional pickets (T/N: directly translated to picket, but means placards/signboards) which we made with our low budget! Should the socks be priced at 1000 won? At just 100 won? We were anxious, but we decided to just sell at 100 won. Aren’t the pickets we made from recycled boxes, completely stylish? We hope that we can sell out a lot!!

Where is the best place to sell our socks? We decided on Hapjeong Playground, the place symbolizing youth and freedom!! Because we had no budget, we had to go via subway. It’s been a long time since I rode the subway, so I was nervous and my heart went *thump, thump*

It’s up for sale already~ all of the fans, and even the citizens, participated with enthusiasm and the socks sold out fast!!! Thank you so much!! There were a lot who wanted to buy, but since we only had limited to 21 pairs on sale, I was really sorry. Although the socks were only 100 won, but in order to help our more for our budget for promotions, a citizen willingly handed over 1000 won. Double Park were really very touched.

I’ll only reveal the behind the scenes story of Double Park TV Episode 1 up to hear, I don’t know if you had fun reading. There are more stories to tell, so look forward to part 2 in the near future!

[한국아이닷컴 이정현 기자] The first episode of DOUBLE PARK TV, the Internet broadcast created by 2NE1’s members DARA and BOM, was officially released.

DOUBLE PARK, named after the identical family names of DARA and BOM, was produced to serve as a promotional strategy. The promotional videos by the two 2NE1 members are a guerilla-type video, with no specific thoughts, plans or budget put into it.

The first episode that was revealed at noon of August 13 on YG LIFE shows DARA talking into the microphone labeled ‘Promotion Director DARA PARK’ and BOM talking into that labeled ‘Promotion Agent PARK BOM’. The two do not even seem to notice the camera—their instinctive and improvised conversation boasted the greatest teamwork.

The two made the viewers laugh when they called themselves FROM DOUBLE PARK, the new competitor of FROM YG, which is a channel used by YG Entertainment’s founder YANG HYUN SUK to communicate with the artists’ fans on the official website.

In DOUBLE PARK TV, the two girls talk about their new song and then out of nowhere jump to talk about Jeju Island’s grilled hairtail fish. They go off the track every so often, talking gibberish. The gung-seo font used in the video clip and the humorous editing add another source of entertainment for the viewers. Although they find it difficult to stay on one topic, they never forget to promote YG’s artists. A true promotional team.

The video is filled with the two Parks’ original ideas: selling socks at Hongik University playground to fundraise for PR activities, or inviting fans to ride their car and showing them the new song ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ just before its release to get feedback.

What aroused attention the most was the first customer of DOUBLE PARK Personal Taxi: KANG SEUNG YOON. Despite the sudden request to sing live in the ‘taxi’, he picks up his guitar and starts singing BOM’s You & I. BOM, harmonizes perfectly with KANG SEUNG YOON, all improvised on the spot.

DARA and BOM, despite their joking around saying “Our role model is Kim Gura, so we have to be nasty to you,” showed much affection for the rookie artist. BOM seemed compassionate when KANG SEUNG YOON opens up about being left out in dance class for his lack of dance skills.

On the August 14th broadcast of KBS 2FM‘s ‘Yoo In Na’s Volume Up‘, 2NE1 and their new YG labelmate Kang Seung Yoon appeared as guests. When DJ Yoo In Na asked if she had a boyfriend, Dara responded, “Not yet. I don’t have one as usual. I still believe that the one will show up.”

 She went on, “I’m trying not to be impatient though. I trust that he’ll come along one day.”

 Dara also mentioned what she thinks she has going for her, joking, “I’m so cute and fresh that it gets in the way when I sing a serious song.”

[해리슨의 엔터~뷰 (Enter-View)] Many fans were excited to hear that South Korea’s top girl group 2NE1 and the officially debuted ex-contestant of Superstar K KANG SEUNG YOON will both appear on KBS’s Music Bank. For a while YG Entertainment’s artists were not seen on any of KBS’s channels, so their recent news on long-awaited KBS appearance must have quenched the thirst of many music fans.

Fans were especially waiting with much patience for 2NE1, as after their last summer’s big digital single hit ‘I LOVE YOU’, the group only focused on holding a world tour.

Fortunately, after CL’s (the leader of the group) successful solo debut, 2NE1 kicked off their return to the music market with the reggae-influenced ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ in summer 2013. They proudly moved on to sweep across music ranking programs like MBC’s Show! Music Center, SBS’s Inkigayo and Mnet’s M Countdown.

2NE1 also made an appearance on variety shows like ‘Hwashin’ and ‘Running Man,’ attempting a great transformation since they were only focused on music-related activities until now. Many viewed them as ‘unapproachable’ in the past, but now they have successfully metamorphosed into ‘clumsy but lovely and cute’ idols.

‘DO YOU LOVE ME’, which was released on August 7, ranked number 1 as soon as its music video and the song were released. 2NE1 is in the midst of unleashing their full potential.

Their latest song is a summer-targeted one with exciting and rhythmic beat to it. It will succeed 2NE1’s previous summer big hits ‘GO AWAY’ and ‘I AM THE BEST’. On 8th at 10 AM 2NE1 ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ music video was released on official youtube channels and homepage. 2NE1’s management company YG Entertainment representative Yang Hyun-suk lent his summer house in Jeju Island. Here 2NE1 filmed themselves having a pillow fight and comic dancing. Also in the MV they had a luxury pool party and they were enjoying themselves.

First in indoors shoot, 2NE1 had a pillow fight full of cotton. Eventually the pillows broke shedding cottons all over. They also hang a balloon around their neck and went into a bath tub looking whimsy. Dara Park even clings to a window ledge and acts as if she is riding a bike.

In a pool party scene, entertainer Noh Hong-chul appears. He shows off his trade mark dirty dance surrounded by 2NE1. Dara’s little brother, MBLAQ’s Thunder, also appears taking everyone by surprise.
