(서울=연합뉴스) 이은정 기자 = YG Entertainment’s girl group 2NE1 will appear on CW TV’s “America’s Next Top Model,” reality survival program in the U.S., for its season 21 finale.

According to several media outlets and fashion industry officials on March 26, 2NE1 was reportedly invited to appear on the show’s season finale as guests. Currently, a global supermodel and the host of “America’s Next Top Model” Tyra Banks, along with the show’s participants, are filming in Seoul, Korea.

One of the officials explained, “2NE1 plans to appear as guests on the show’s season finale to watch the final participants to walk on the runway near the Banpo Riverside Park on April 2,” adding, “I heard that 2NE1 was invited to the show because they are not only a leading girl group of K-Pop, but also fashionistas with great sense of fashion.”

“America’s Next Top Model” is a reality survival program in which participants compete with one another until the last winner remains in order to become the next top model. In Korea, the OnStyle channel aquired copyright of the show and aired it under the title, ”Top Model Korea.”

Tyra Banks and the production staff of the show has been traveling around the world to film every season. For the show’s final season to be filmed in Korea, the OnStyle channel submitted an application to a government-funded program, ”Location Incentive,” offered by the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) to make it possible.

Participants of “America’s Next Top Model” season 21 are filming five episodes in Seoul over the course of two weeks, experiencing Korean traditions and modern culture by visiting several places, such as Gyeongbok Palace, Gwanghwamun Square, Cheonggyecheon, Seoul City Hall, Gwangjang Market, Sinchon, and Dongdaemun.

Exciting news!

The fabulous ladies of 2NE1 will be appearing on the final stage of the American reality survival program “America’s Next Top Model” season 21.

“America’s Next Top Model” is filming in Korea for Seoul’s fashion week, and according to broadcast and fashion industry sources, 2NE1 will be appearing on the final stage of the show’s activities in Korea. The final fashion show of the program will take place on April 2 at Banpo, and 2NE1 will be guests at that show. One source sated, “2NE1 was asked to be on the show because they are a representative K-Pop group and they are also well-known to be fashionistas.”

This follows the news that fellow K-Pop idol group BTOB will also be appearing on the show as special judges.

MBLAQ’s Cheon Dung revealed his sister’s concerns regarding her weight.

March 26’s broadcast of KBS 2TV’s Vitamin will feature prevalent diseases among women in their forties and fifties, including frozen shoulders.

While talking about obesity as the possible cause of of frozen shoulders, Cheon Dung began sharing about how his entire family doesn’t gain fat easily.

He said, “My family is worried about not gaining weight instead of obesity. My sister, Sandara Park, even eats five meals a day, but doesn’t gain weight.”

Then comedian Kim Sook made everyone laugh by saying, “The cause of married women’s frozen shoulders is overdosing on alcohol. You need to watch out for your shoulders when you raise the glass to cheer when you drink.”
