[스타뉴스 이지현 기자] Behind-the-scenes of 2NE1’s newest MV “COME BACK HOME” was revealed.
On March 11 YG Entertainment posted on its official blog and Naver Music Special the scenes behind 2NE1’s new music video “COME BACK HOME.”
A short video of just 4 minutes and 14 seconds feature various aspects of 2NE1 including the introduction of the song, the concept of the video, and what the members think about the video and the comeback.
Each member showcases different hairstyles, and they are fully committed to the video despite the cold weather. Some playful moments gave the fans a source of entertainment as well.
MINZY describes the song as “of mourning and yearning” while DARA says “your heart aches even after you finish singing it.”
She added, “I am in charge of the ‘love scenes’ of the video. I’ve taken a lot of kissing scenes before but never felt this way before.” On the scene where she weeps, she shyly commented, “It’s my first time crying in an MV since ‘IT HURTS’.”
MINZY says the video is very “sci-fi” while CL describes it as “unrealistic but real.” DARA is fully satisfied with the clip, saying, “It’s like you are watching a movie”
BOM appears at the end of the video and says, “It’s been a while since we returned with an album. We really wanted it and there is a lot to show you from the time-invested work.”
2NE1 unveiled their album “CRUSH” on Feb 27, and is actively promoting it with the title song “COME BACK HOME.”

The quartet made their comeback on SBS’s Inkigayo on March 9. They impressed the fans and the entertainment world with “COME BACK HOME” and “CRUSH.” For an album to sell steadily, artists must make continuous TV appearance. But YG and 2NE1 decided to go with “select and concentrate” strategy. They are sticking to their principle that it is inevitable to “let go” of some programs in order to deliver quality outfits and performances.
Related personnel of the music industry said, “It’s highly likely that 2NE1 will only appear on SBS’s Inkigayo and Mnet’s M Countdown.” In fact, 2NE1 is scheduled to appear only on the two shows out of all from March 11 to 16.
The personnel added, “This is not about the relationship between KBS and YG. G-DRAGON appeared on KBS 2TV’s Yoo Heeyeol’s Sketchbook, so there is always room for 2NE1 to do so.” 2NE1’s new album “CRUSH” stood at #61 on Billboard Album Chart on March 5 (local time), gaining much popularity. Billboard extolled the title “COME BACK HOME” by saying that it is an explosive result of a crossover of different music genres. 2NE1, after appearing on the scheduled shows, will move on to perform for 2nd World Tour.

SENTIMENTAL LIVE-PERFORMANCE OF 2NE1’S “IF I WERE YOU”,.. VOCAL EXPLODING WITH EMOTIONS
[OSEN=권지영 기자] Girl group 2NE1 has captivated music fans with their appealing and emotional vocal.
YG Entertainment disclosed the live performance of “IF I WERE YOU”, which was given at 2NE1’s second world tour “ALL OR NOTHING”, on YG’s official blog (www.yg-life.com), on the 10 at 9pm. The Seoul concert of 2NE1’s world tour was held on March 1 and 2 at Olympic Park’s SK Handball Hall.
“IF I WERE YOU” is an emotional ballad with impressive lyrics that describe lovers who forefeel their break-up and want to know each other’s heart by becoming one another even for a day. CL herself directly wrote the lyrics and also took part in the composition of the song. The unique lyrics and vocals of four 2NE1 members create a perfect harmony in the song, making it one of the most loved flagship ballads of 2NE1, along with “LONELY” and “IT HURTS”.
The live performance of 2NE1’s “IF I WERE YOU” that has recently been disclosed is evaluated as a performance that shows the true value of 2NE1’s vocal. The performance begins with DARA’s tender and emotional vocal and develops into MINZY’s stable vocal and BOM’s hook in which her unmatched voice color stands out, and then finally to CL’s strong vocal, to create an intense harmony between all the four members.
There is no particular dance for the performance of “IF I WERE YOU”, but the four members singing the song with all their body leaves a stronger impression than any other special performance. 2NE1 Makes Fancy and Strong Comeback Stage!
Group 2NE1 held their comeback stage through SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on 9th.
They performed ‘Come back Home’ and ‘Crush’ of the second album for the first time on the stage.
They opened the stage with ‘Crush’, and displayed strong, high-energy performance with fancy make-up and dresses. CL has participated in composing the ‘Crush’ and completed it as an exciting beat, and Park Bom has shown off mature vocal which increased completion of the stage.
Following stage, ‘Come Back Home’ a mixed genre of hip hop and reggae was displayed with cybertic performance, and heated the place and audience.
2NE1 has shown off their professionalism and well-designed colors of performance, which was exclusive and successful.

And all I can say is a big WOW! I’m so amazed by these girls! They totally killed this one! Singing this song with full of emotions! Bom’s powerful vocals, as always. I can see CL was totally feeling the song. And Minzy, hands down totally got me here! Love how this perfectly showed her vocals. And Dara, love how soothing her fresh voice is amidst of the powerful voices of her memebers. 2NE1’s live performances are definitely worth seeing! ❤

News: 2NE1 Meets with Fans at Signing Event: First Time in 3 Years
2NE1 MEETS WITH FANS AT SIGNING EVENT: FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS
[OSEN=강서정 기자] YG’s 2NE1 is to hold a signing event in celebration of their album release for the first time in 3 years.
The quartet will be meeting their fans at the circular stage located in Seoul Yeongdeungpo Times Square Atrium Floor 1 for about one hour starting from 8:30pm on March 15.
Their signing event is the first one in 3 years since 2011 when they released a 2nd mini album, which makes the fans even more excited.
Those who want to be part of the event can enter after buying 2NE1’s newest album at Yeongdeungpo Kyobo Hot Tracks from March 11 to 13. The list of those chosen to be part of the event will be published on Hot Tracks homepage on March 14.
The latest full album “CRUSH” was released on March 7 in two different versions Pink and Black, which holds a total of 10 songs including the title song “COME BACK HOME” and “GOTTA BE YOU.”
The songs cut across reggae, hip-hop, R&B and other genres, and the album ranked #61 on Billboard 200. This is a new record for a South Korean album, which proves that the time-invested album is gaining much popularity.
2NE1 showcased their first TV comeback on SBS’s Inkigayo on March 9 with such strong presence, which marks the beginning of their frequent appearances on TV. The divas will travel overseas for their 2nd World Tour “ALL OR NOTHING.”
