“Fashion Icons” 2NE1 were able to display their distinctive charms by making a transformation inspired by traditional African wear.

On April 30, fashion magazine Vogue revealed 2NE1’s May pictorial.

The members showed that they were able to pull off an ethnic African style with intricate face paint, wearing intense, colorful outfits, and posing with traditional instruments made of wood and leather.

At the photo shoot, CL stated, “I think it was fate that a group of unique and fun people who were living separate lives were able to meet and form a group called 2NE1.”

Member Sandara Park, who was praised by the staff for her soft charisma, said, “I don’t have any restrictions when it comes to style as of now. I always want to try out new things,” when asked about the experimental styles she has showcased.

Park Bom, who has recently ventured into the world of reality television with SBS’s “Roommate,” radiated her honest and pure charms at the set of the photoshoot.

Minzy, who turned 21 years old (Korean age) this year, has become the symbol of their group name, 2NE1. She displayed the same lively enthusiasm as that of any other freshman in college and shared, “I want to dance with the passion of a 21-year-old even when I become a grandma.”

This 2NE1 pictorial and interview will be released in full on May 19 in next month’s issue of Vogue Korea and on their official website.

Girl group, 2NE1’s ‘Come Back Home’ MV has recorded ten 10 million hits on YouTube.

After its release on YouTube, it broke through 10 million hits, on 22, in about a month and a half. At the same time ‘Happy‘ also recorded 4.9 million hits, ready to break through 5 million.

This is the second 10 million hit record of this year in K-pop. Previously, Girls’ Generation’s ‘Mr.Mr.’ has recorded 10 million, in this January and February.

On the 21, fashion magazine Nylon disclosed the photography of 2NE1, who has been busy performing for their second full-length album recently.

The collaboration between 2NE1 and Nylon was arranged as Marvin Scott Jarrett, the editor-cum-photographer of America’s Nylon magazine, picked 2NE1 as the most original and interesting musician.

In the photography, 2NE1’s CL and Marvin Scott Jarrett are showing an eye-catching friendly pose together. Plus, the friendly atmosphere among 2NE1 members is also drawing attention in the photography.

More photos and interview of 2NE1, who created a free and comfortable atmosphere at the photo-shooting as they do on the stage dancing and singing, can be seen in the May issue of Nylon magazine.

2NE1 has been named the most original artist by the editor-in-chief of Nylon magazine.

Keeping busy with promotional activities since releasing its second full-length album, 2NE1 received a love call from Nylon for an interview and photo shoot.

2NE1 was invited to a photo shoot when Nylon’s editor-in-chief and photographer Marvin Scott Jarrett named the girls as the most original and interesting musicians.

According to an affiliate of Nylon, the 2NE1 members shot the photos as if they were dancing, with a free and lively spirit.

2NE1’s photos and interview will be available in the May issue of Nylon.

YG Family‘s Sandara Park and G-Dragon took a goofy picture together. This was posted through Sandara Park’s Twitter on which she also wrote, “GD and Top? No~ GD and San. We took this picture while waiting for our turn to perform at the Osaka Family Concert.”

The picture shows Sandara Park dressed with a massive white ribbon on her and wearing a fake red-feathered moustache. G-Dragon posed with a chic smile and a towel draped over his shoulders.

Netizens’ reactions for this picture included, “GD and San, Amen,” “Mister Doomdara and G-Dragon look so cute,” “It’s so good to see them together.”

On another note, 2NE1 and Big Bang opened up the “2014 YG Family Concert” in Osaka, Japan on April 12 and 13 at the Kyocera Dome.

[OSEN=권지영 기자] The Japan Tour of 2014 YG FAMILY Concert kicked off in great success.

On April 12, the 2014 YG FAMILY CONCERT held in Japan’s Osaka Kyocera Dome ended in huge success, joined by 50,000 fans. The concert showcased YG artists including BIGBANG, 2NE1, EPIK HIGH, LEEHI, WINNER and WIN’s TEAM B.

2NE1 opened the concert with their dynamic “CRUSH.” It was followed by their debut song “FIRE” and then the title song of the 2nd full album “COME BACK HOME,” and moved on to sing “GOTTA BE YOU.”

The baton was then handed to the newbie group WINNER. They performed the Japanese version of “GO UP” and their own version of 2NE1’s “MISSING YOU,” firing up the fans.

EPIK HIGH, who was next on stage, left a powerful impression on the local fans by singing “FLY,” “LOVE LOVE LOVE,” and “DON’T HATE ME.”

When BIGBANG appeared on stage, the concert hall was filled with gold color. The members who were joined by 770,000 fans at their Japan’s 6 largest Dome Tour from last year to early this year, looked experienced in communicating with the local fans. They showcased their hit songs like “HARU HARU,” “BLUE,” and “FANTASTIC BABY.”

Performing in Japan for the first time, LEEHI caught the attention of the fans by “ROSE” and “1,2,3,4”.

But the highlight of the concert was the collaboration performances of YG artists. Each work was unique, more than enough to leave the audience in awe.

WINNER and WIN’s TEAM B performed “JUST ANOTHER BOY” together, which was the final mission of the survival program WHO IS NEXT: WIN. G-DRAGON and CL performed “THE BADDEST MALE” and “MTBD” while BIGBANG’s T.O.P, WINNER’s SONG MIN HO and 2NE1’s DARA fired up the stage with a collaborated “DOOM DADA.”

The concert that showcased 40 songs in total gave a dynamic finale with YG’s biggest hit songs including PSY’s “GANGNAM STYLE,” 2NE1’s “GO AWAY” and BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY.”

The “2014 YG FAMILY CONCERT” will be held again on April 13 at Osaka Kyocera Dome, and will be followed by Tokyo Dome on May 3 and 4. It will expand to Korea, China and other Asian regions, and the concert venues will be announced soon.
