2NE1 and Gummy to Perform in Charity Concert for Taean Teenagers
2NE1 and Gummy will be performing for teenagers in Taean.
The two teams will perform in the Companion concert to be held on February 23. Companion is a charity concert that has been held by Silkroad C&T since 2008. In 2012, 2NE1 performed in a concert of the same title in Vietnam
The Companion concert this year plans to donate all profits to a school fund for teenagers in Taean, an area which suffered from a great oil leak in 2007.
A rep from YG Entertainment stated, “Though 2NE1 and Gummy are busy with album preparations and individual activities, they decided to participate in the concert after agreeing with its aims.”
2NE1 and Gummy have also previously embarked on many good deeds with the YG campaign ′WITH′.
Fans can participate through an event to be held in G Market from February 15. G Market will host an event in which participants will search ′Companion Concert′ and be given the chance to apply for an invitation to the concert. A total of 500 participants will be invited.

Just a short background…
I think it was around the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010 when we came up with this idea to give Dara a “magazine” full of articles, photos, features, fan-accounts about her and of course 2NE1. We mobilized ourselves and distributed different parts of the magazine to different Daralings. We had so many plans and so much content that our heads were bursting with it. Then I dunno what happened but the fire died down a little and we found ourselves buying other gifts instead for Dara. But of course, little by little, Daralings began submitting their stories, features, etc and we decided to compile it.
