[마이데일리 = 전원 기자] 2NE1 was showered in spotlight at an interview with Billboard.

The online edition of the American Billboard unveiled on May 27 (local date) the details of the interview with 2NE1, precisely about the quartet breaking chart records, their 5th anniversary and the music video.

CL, on breaking the K-Pop record on Billboard 200 commented, “It felt so great. We prepared for this album for so long it felt like a surprise gift and we think it was a perfect way to start off [our promotion].”

In February when 2NE1 dropped new album “CRUSH,” it immediately became the highest-charting K-pop album on the Billboard 200, landing at No. 61.

On May 17 the divas celebrated their 5th anniversary. Billboard asked when the most memorable moments were, and DARA answered “the day we debuted,” while BOM and MINZY said, “when winning ‘Best Song of the Year’ award,” and CL, “this moment.”

They added, “Half of 2014 has already passed by… Our tour will continue and we look forward to putting out more music for everyone to listen to. To all the 2NE1 fans all over the world, thank you for always waiting for us and loving our music. We hope to see all of you often and up close!”

Currently in the middle of their World Tour “ALL OR NOTHING,” 2NE1 will be in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 8 at Mata Elang International Stadium to meet the local fans.

Brother and sister duo, Akdong Musician’s Lee Chan-hyuk revealed his impression of 2NE1.

Akdong Musician (Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Soo-hyun) will appear as guests on MBC FM4U “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon” at the corner, “Live On Air” which will be broadcasted on the afternoon of the 29th.

On this day, host Kim Shin Young asked Lee Chan-hyuk who his ideal type is among the 2NE1 members. However, Lee Chan-hyuk hesitated, and when he refused to answer, the host wondered about it.

Kim Shin Young followed up the question with, “You mean to say that among the 2NE1 members, you don’t have an ideal type,” and pressed Lee Chan-hyuk about the topic, prompting him to answer, “It’s not that I don’t have an ideal, but just that 2NE1-sunbaenims have so much force,” which prompted laughter with his timid answer.

Finally, Lee Chan-hyuk revealed that his ideal type was Sandara Park, which drew attention.

Big Bang – 2NE1 Stages Now Available in Multitrack Mode

Group Big Bang and 2NE1‘s stages are now available on mobile phones and PCs in multitrack mode, allowing viewers to watch their performances in the camera angle of their choice.

YG Entertainment released the video clips of Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” MV and live performance and 2NE1’s “Gotta Be You” MV and “CRUSH” concert clip on Naver’s new multitrack service.

Multitrack service makes available in one screen many angles filmed by several cameras. Unlike previous services which only allows the viewer to view one part of a video, the multitrack service features different angles that the viewer can choose from.

The performance clips of Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” and 2NE1’s “CRUSH” released on this day features an overall stage view and individual member views, featuring 6 and 5 view options per video, respectively.

YG’s multitrack services can be accessed through Naver’s video services TV Cast and mobile app Naver Media Player.

On the 26, the picture of DARA and words “I thought fans gave it to her, but she made it by herself. Please welcome. DARA – our special DJ for a week” was posted on the official Twitter for KBS radio program “YOO IN NA’s Crank Up the Volume”.

In the photo, DARA is making a big smile, wearing the hair band she made by herself. The hair band reads “new DJ SAN”. DARA is boasting her fresh beauty with the bang and bright smile.

DARA is replacing YOO IN NA who went to China for shooting of Chinese movie “Wedding Bible” from May 26 to June 1, to work as a special DJ for the program for the week. On the 27 this month, 2NE1’s BOM appears in the show as a special guest.

Fellow 2NE1 member Park Bom will have the honor of being Sandara Park‘s first guest on her radio show!

To substitute for the official MC Yoo In Na, Sandara Park was earlier reported to take over the position for a week. From May 26 to June 1, the idol will be hosting KBS Radio’s popular radio show “Yoo In Na’s Raise the Volume.”

According to the show’s representatives, Park Bom will participate in the show on May 27. She will be appearing on the corner called “Your Reason” together with rapper H-Eugene.

DJ Sandara Park and the two special guests will be having a fun discussion under the title “The reason why you wandered around like a boy in his teens.” While this is Sandara Park’s first time to host a radio show, she has expressed her keen interest in the task, raising the expectations for her hosting debut.

At the 2nd World Tour “ALL OR NOTHING” held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 24, 2NE1 was joined by 4,000 local fans. This was the divas’ second visit to the country since their first World Tour “New Evolution” in 2012.

Appearing in dynamic outfits, 2NE1 opened up the stage with their 2nd album “CRUSH.” Under innovative stage direction, the quartet performed a total of 21 songs, including ones from their 2nd full album such as “COME BACK HOME,” “GOTTA BE YOU,” and “SCREAM,” and others like “I AM THE BEST,” and “I DON’T CARE.”

2NE1’s latest concert was upgraded by world-renowned directors Travis Payne and Stacey Walker, along with a world-famous performance planning company Live Nation that was also involved in World Tours of Lady Gaga, Madonna and U2. The local fans enthusiastically joined 2NE1 by singing along the songs in Korean.

After the concert, DARA thanked the fans by tweeting, “Thank you so much Blackjack Malaysia!!! We had so much fun tonight!!! We love you!!! :)”

On May 17, the date that marked 2NE1’s 5th anniversary, the quartet was in Manila, the Philippines, for the World Tour. They had a special time celebrating with the fans who sent them cakes of various colors. Now as they have successfully ended the concert in Malaysia, they will be moving on to Jakarta, Indonesia, for a performance on June 8.

2NE1 fulfilled their promise made to their fellow Malaysian Blackjacks last year by returning to Malaysia once again!

Organized by IME Productions, 2NE1 All Or Nothing World Tour in Malaysia was held on May 24th at Stadium Negara with 4000 of fans who partied with 2NE1!

2NE1 kick started their concert with Crush and their appearance on stage was welcomed by hysterical scream of Malaysian Blackjacks who had been waiting eagerly to meet them since the day the concert’s announcement was made.

They then continued heating up the stage with their fierce debut song, Fire before greeting fellow Malaysian Blackjacks.
They performed a total of 20 over songs from their debut albums to the latest albums such as Clap Your Hands, Come Back Home, Can’t Nobody, Ugly, Gotta Be With You, Do You Love Me, Lonely and more.

Malaysian Blackjacks did not lose their energy at all that night as they continued to sing along with 2NE1 and cheer with their light sticks throughout the concert. Their leader, CL who felt touched praised Malaysian Blackjacks for their beautiful voice, “You guys sang so well and I love your voice! Thank you Malaysia!”

YG Entertainment’s rookie group, WINNER who was the guest of the concert successfully captivated the crowd too, proving their explosive popularity in Malaysia! The boys performed two songs Go Up and Just Another Boy before returning the stage to 2NE1.
CL then took over the stage with her solo performance, Baddest Female and MTBD. Living up to her name Baddest Female, CL indeed had set the stage on fire with her strong and wild performance as well as killed her fans with her sexiness!

It is almost impossible to not stand and party along if you attend 2ne1’s concert! During their encore stage, CL invited all the Blackjacks to stand up and party with them, “I want you guys to stand up and party with us or else you are gonna regret”. Not only that, 2NE1 also showed their cute side of them by playing with the balloons and gave various fan services such as hand shake, taking polaroid pictures, selfie and more.

Throughout the concert, the girls did not just perform and left the stage but they got closer with their fans through various interactions in English.

Minzy: We are so happy to be here in Malaysia, are you happy too? I had so much of fun here, can we come back?! (of course you can, Minzy! Anytime!)

Dara: It was out second time here in Malaysia and happy 5th anniversary 2NE1! Malaysia, do you miss us?

Minzy: We will come back to Malaysia soon again, so please wait for us okay?

CL: I had so much of fun today. I don’t know why it took so long for us to come back here!

2NE1 ended the concert with Can’t Nobody and greeted as well as thanked all their fans once again for attending the concert and making it memorable. It was indeed an “All Or Nothing” concert for their fans!

On a side note, 2NE1 will be heading to Indonesia for their next stop.

2NE1’s Sandara Park will become the special DJ of KBS 2FM’s Raise the Volume.

Filling in for Yoo In Na, who left for China to film Wedding Bible, Sandara Park will be leading the show for a week between May 26 and June 1.

Raise the Volume introduced Sandara Park on its website by writing, ‘We have someone to fill in for DJ Yoo, who had to leave us for a short while, 2NE1’s Sandara Park!’

The site also added, ‘The one who can be quirky and playful at times but lovely! We anticipate what new sides of her she can show us, Volume family. Please anticipate our encounter with her and warmly welcome Dara, who is probably very nervous.”

Sandara Park also said, “I’ve always just said that I want to do a radio so I’m very excited for this offer. I will prepare a voice that suits 8’o clock in the evening.”

Ranking number one in listener rating, Raise the Volume is expected to feature Sandara Park’s hidden ability as a DJ.

2NE1 got attention since the Billboard reported this news in the midst of 2NE1’s 5th debut anniversary on May 17th.

The Billboard introduced 2NE1 as, “The 4-membered girl group, 2NE1 has debuted with unrestricted music by mixing hip-hop, dance, fast rap etc. They have recorded the highest among K-Pop album in US Billboard chart (Billboard 200) with their high-quality music and music video.”

The first ranked music video in the TOP 5 is their debut song ‘FIRE’ released in May, 2009. They gave a favorable comment, “FIRE attracts listeners with their rhyme played by synthesizer and percussion instruments, and with their sexy and strange clothes. CL’s ‘Cat suit’ and Bom’s ‘Bunny-look’ is interesting. FIRE shows powerful style, glamorous, and cute feminine charm”.

‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ ranked TOP 4 which was released in last August. The Billboard introduced, “This music video is not flashy with shocking fashion and sets, but rather having familiar background with swimming pool, cars, club etc. It is really fun having each member’s individuality exposed in it”.

‘CAN’T NOBODY’ ranked TOP 3 which was released in September, 2010. The Billboard assessed, “Its music video which hit YouTube in 2010, made fans notice their ‘swagger’ has one step upgraded. Their appearance was more surprising and each character was shown clearly”.

‘MISSING YOU’ ranked TOP 2 which was released in last November. The Billboard expressed, “2NE1 showed their smooth charm through their winter ballad. It shows amazing metaphor of sensitivity when CL covers her arms and legs by herself in front of the camera”.

‘I AM THE BEST’ ranked TOP 1 which was released in June, 2011. The Billboard highly complimented, “There is no other appearance, style and sound than ‘I AM THE BEST’ which defines 2NE1. It has the most views in K-POP, having 90,000,000 views. If ‘FIRE’ is a song which promises fans with appearance, then ‘I AM THE BEST’ is the first and best realization of that promise”.

Meanwhile, 2NE1, who has opened their second world tour in Philippines at May 17th, is going to meet local fans by holding another concert in Kuala Lumpur on May 24th.
