The 2NE1 “All or Nothing” trailer has been earning a lot of buzz, and some discussions are perhaps more bizarre than others.

Last week, 2NE1 released a very theatrical trailer for their upcoming world tour and new album, “All or Nothing.”

According to 2NE1 member Dara on YG-Life, the inspiration for the trailer is that the members “come from the stars,” and the trailer shows an asteroid-like object flying towards Earth.

And while this is a very legitimate explanation for the “All or Nothing” trailer, some Blackjacks and viewers experienced discomfort watching it.

If you scroll through the YouTube comments, some are describing the asteroid as looking like a sperm impregnating a womb! The “All or Nothing” animation, which emphasizes the ‘O’ shape also seems to be leading certain viewers on about this interpretation.

You can see a really scathing review of this 2NE1 trailer here, where the same interpretation is used to describe the trailer as “stupid,” igniting hundreds of comments.

Even so, the members of 2NE1 appear to be very happy with the results of using chromatography technique and the galactic inspiration.

“Such a cool teaser resulted from the detailed expressions of emotions from the members and everybody’s detailed efforts and this is happy, happy captain San,” writes Dara.

“The look in the eyes of the youngest member got much sexier and the pose also became much more provocative when she turned 21… Wow, I am worried about you, Minzy!”

Of all the street-style stars to descend on Paris in the past few weeks, some of the flossiest — and most original — have been rapper G-Dragon and singer Taeyang, of South Korea’s beloved boy band Big Bang. Spotted in the front row at most of the bigger couture shows and fall menswear shows, they caused a general spectacle with their penchant for bejeweled boleros and multi-colored hair.

This is the first time G-Dragon has appeared at Fashion Week since a brief, pink-haired appearance in 2012, but Taeyang has been on a roll. He caused a frenzy with street-style photographers last summer in Paris, attending the men’s shows with a foot-high faux-hawk and kilts of tartan-plaid and bandana-print (with matching bank-robber face-gear). G and Tae have a mutual distaste for rules regarding color, fit, or gender. To that end, during the shows in Paris, the boys greeted many admirers, including Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, Alber Elbaz at Lanvin, and Carine Roitfeld at Saint Laurent. 

But the Bangers aren’t the only K-Pop stars making the street-style rounds. Hello!! This is 2NE1 captain San, it is Dara. The STARCAST publishing, which the captain San is putting a lot of effort into, is already on its 3rd episode. In order to provide different kinds of information to everyone today also!! I will be trying my best. Did everyone watch the teaser video of our world tour concert ALL OR NOTHING last week? It is called “THE JOURNEY”!!!!! Lot of people said that is it the real quality of the concert teaser and I have once again slightly thought about whether it is too much information or not but today, I will thoroughly reveal the secrets of the filming site of that video which is the center of the attention!! Ta da! ^.^

#1. ALL OR NOTHING “THE JOURNEY”

I heard that there was no one who did not watch this teaser!! But, just in case for the ones who did not watch and for countless reviews, we will proceed after playing the video once more~!

2NE1 – ALL OR NOTHING “THE JOURNEY”

Wow~~ Isn’t the video so cool?! Everyone who has already noticed will know about it but this “THE JOURNEY” was filmed using chromatography technique. The fact is that it is used a lot in dramas, movies and advertisements these days+_+ I will show what chromatography technique is in an very easy way through a pretty picture of Bom!!

The one who is in the paused scene of the video is Bom, who is standing in a pretty way with a beautiful moon as the background. Isn’t her beautiful looks of the back and a beautiful background so awesome??

Then, should we compare the original picture and the picture after applying computer graphics!! Ta da!!!

The truth is, we get to film in a neat background where it is possible to use chromatography technique just like the image above! After filming the video with all our efforts!! It comes out like the image below ^.^ Such a cool teaser resulted from the detailed expressions of emotions from the members and everybody’s detailed efforts and this is happy, happy captain San.

Group 2NE1‘s member Dara revealed a picture taken at Big Bang‘s concert.

Today, the male idol group Big Bang held a concert in Seoul. The same agency’s group 2NE1’s member Dara had attended the concert, showing support.

Dara posted on her Twitter, “Big Bang concert with Hi!”

She continued, “So good. So good. So good! So excited, so excited, so excited! So fun, so fun, so fun! This concert, as usual. No words necessary. It’s Big Bang! They’re just the best” along with a picture.

In the picture, Dara and Lee Hi are at the front doors of Big Bang’s concert. They were holding up the lights for Big Bang, excitedly smiling.

Internet users who saw this commented, “I’m excited too“, “They look happy” etc.

K-Pop Girl Group 2NE1 Featured in Upcoming Episode of ‘The Bachelor’

Juan Pablo and six lucky ladies will learn choreography from the will.i.am collaborators.

K-pop girl group 2NE1 will get some bigtime U.S. TV exposure with an appearance on “The Bachelor.”

The will.i.am collaborators will be the focus of a group date where current Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis, and six girls will learn choreography from Bom, Minzy, CL and Dara in Seoul, South Korea.

Spoiler alert: “Bachelor” fans may have already spotted the K-pop group in a teaser video for the episode. Based on the dance moves shown in the clip, 2NE1 followers have deduced that the act will teach the choreography to one of their signature hits, “I Am the Best,” which was covered on “So You Think You Can Dance?” last August.

With more than 83 million views, the “I Am the Best” music video is one of the most watched K-pop vids on YouTube.

“The Bachelor” episode featuring 2NE1 is scheduled to air Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

MBLAQ‘s Cheondung releases his self-composed song ‘Gone‘ today and his noona, 2NE1 Dara emerged as his number 1 fan. Dara is all out support as she wrote on twitter,

“Cheondung’s solo and self-written song ‘Gone’ is finally released!!!^0^ Dung-i wrote the beginning parts of the song in our house that’s why I got to listen to it whenever I go home, but listening to the whole song is such a great feeling ^_^ This is the song which I really like >.< There’s no reason not to listen to this song!“ She even uploaded a screencap of her brother’s song playing on her playlist.

[스타뉴스 이지현 기자] YG Entertainment (“YG”)’s new boy group WINNER (NAM TAEHYUN, KANG SEUNGYOON, SONG MINHO, KIM JINWOO, and LEE SEUNGHOON) challenges their senior YG group 2NE1 (BOM, DARA, CL, and MINZY).

WINNER discloses WINNER’s version of “MISSING YOU”, 2NE1’s ballad song, in cable channel Mnet’s reality show “WINNER TV” that will be broadcasted in the evening on the 24.

WINNER’s “MISSING YOU” starts with SONG MINHO’s rap and is an acoustic song in which the tones of KANG SEUNGYOON, NAM TAEHYUN, and KIM JINWOO create a harmony.

Plus, WINNER’s “1st WINNER WINTER SPORTS COMPETITION” held on a snow field will be also disclosed in the episode, too.

WINNER members compete with one another to gain the gold medal in the sports competition of three events including a race on a snowy field, hit-or-miss snow sledge race, and snow wrestling.

Meanwhile, WINNER is to make their official debut by the end of February this year.

Through Mnet ‘WINNER TV’ that will be on air on January 24th, WINNER is expected to sing a group 2NE1’s song ‘Missing You’.

WINNER reinterprets the song ‘Missing You’ with their own individuality, the song in which the sad sentiments of 2NE1 were noticeable. It is heard that WINNER’s ‘Missing You’, which begins with Song Min Ho’s rap, is born again as the song that has acoustic and unique feeling with the guitar and vocal from the leader Kang Seungyoon and when Nam Tae Hyun and Kim Jin Woo’s tone that has strong individuality is combined together.

Moreover, on this day, along with the revealing of WINNER’s cover song, they will hold ‘1st WINNER winter sports competition’ on a vast snow field. They are expected to show strong desire to win through a total of 3 sports such as running, random snow sled race and eye battle.

‘WINNER TV’ will be on air every Fridays at 10pm through Mnet and NAVER TV cast.

You might barely see 2NE1‘s Dara in mini dress but the group’s face wore one during the ’28th Golden Daesang Awards’ at Kyunghee University on January 16.

It has been a while but fans are commenting here and there while posting solo shots of Dara wearing mini black dress from the event. The 30-year old female idol (turning 31 this year) made some fans envious of her lovely and girly appearance and others shook their heads with her skinny body.

Some commented, “Is she really turning 31? How possible it that with her baby face?“, “I still can’t believe she’s one of the oldest female idol around“, “I envy her face“, “She looks so skinny and made her even smaller in that dress, but she’s undeniably pretty“, “She’s too skinny, eat a lot Dara!” and so on.

2013 was a year of evolution for YG Entertainment‘s 2NE1. The year opened with speculations surrounding upcoming releases for the group,  with rumors ranging from a full English language album to collaborations with label mates Big Bang. 2NE1’s CL,Minzy, Dara, and Bom celebrated numerous milestones throughout the year, however the group did not release a full album or extended play. With the release of three major singles, 2NE1 remained in the spotlight not only in Korea but internationally.

2NE1 started off the year quietly, with interviews which sparked many of the rumors of their upcoming releases. On March 14, 2NE1 released the previously recorded single Take The World On, a collaboration featuring will.i.am. The group would later be featured on will.i.am’s April release, #willpower with Gettin’ Dumb. On March 31, 2NE1 helped kick off the opening weekend performance for G-Dragon‘s 1st World Tour at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena.

On May 4th, 2NE1 further established their image as international trend setters by participating in the United All Originals Live performance with Snoop Dogg. The concert was sponsored by Adidas and reflected the ability of 2NE1 to serve as style icons, as well as performers. The performance was Snoop’s first official concert in Korea during his twenty year career and the group delivered an electrifying performance with the American hip hop pioneer.

On May 28th, 2NE1’s leader CL released her solo single The Baddest Female. Produced by YG Entertainment’s Teddy Park, The Baddest Female featured elements of hip hop, dubstep, and electronic dance music. The video was innovative and featured appearances by Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, as well as Teddy Park. With The Baddest Female, CL was able to establish her personality as a solo artist.

On June 29th, 2NE1 joined G-Dragon for two performances in Singapore. On July 8th, the group released the reggae influenced Falling In Love which was an uptempo single that was perfect for the summertime. Falling In Love was followed by the release of Do You Love Me which surprised audiences as 2NE1 had just completed promotions for Falling In Love.

2NE1 were named Korean Brand and Entertainment ambassadors for 2013 in October. As a result of this appointment, the group was present in London during the Expo. In conjunction with the November event, there was the YG Hologram Show which featured 2NE1 and PSY. On November 20th, 2NE1 would fully release the highly anticipated single Missing You. Missing You featured a melancholy feel and also a tastefully executed nude scene by CL.

2NE1 performed Missing You as part of their 2013 MAMA stage and CL was with Icona Pop. CL received the Best Dance Performance-Female Solo award at 2013 MAMA for The Baddest Female. 2013 began to come to a close with the release of Park Bom & Lee Hi (BH)’s All I Want For Christmas Is You. The melancholy cover of the Mariah Carey classic was the first release of the new YG Entertainment unit. On December 29, CL will appear with Lee Hyori at SBS Gayo Daejun.

2013 has been an exciting year for 2NE1 and has definitely been a year of growth. In December, it was announced that 2NE1’s long time manager, Jjangmae would be going over to work with YG’s newest group WINNER. This move can undoubtedly be seen as the fact that 2NE1 is set to reach new height and are now seasoned performers in K-Pop. The group has promised another world tour in 2014 and new music, which will be highly anticipated.
