Feature: Dara Mentioned in Ricky Lo’s Article in Philippine Star Newspaper Last Year – “Into The Heart of Seoul”

MANILA, Philippines – During a break in the Hollywood Seoul junket for the Liam Neeson starrer Taken 2 middle of last year, I took a quick tour of the Korean Folk Village. What a find I made!

What greeted my friend Raoul Tidalgo and me was the widely-smiling face of Lee Young Ae (far right, above) at the entrance of one section. She’s the Korean actress who played the lead character Janggeum in Jewel in the Palace, a Koreanovela which was a hit in the Philippines aired on GMA.

This is what was written (with Korean translation) on the billboard with the headline Jewel in the Palace Shooting Location: This was used to film scenes involving the Janggeum and Hansanggung rituals for the MBC drama Jewel in the Palace (2003).

Anywhere we went, in malls and at the subway stations, another familiar face greeted us — yes, that of Sandara Park (below, left) endorsing beauty products. Did you know that Sandara so loved the Philippines (where she started her career before joining the top K-Pop group 2NE1) that she would come for incognito visits and she continues to connect with Filipino friends and fans via her Twitter?

At the lobby lounge of Grand Hyatt (sprawled on a hill) where invited journalists were billeted, featured group was Filipino band Sierra (below, right) composed of (from left)  Ledda Vinzons, pianist/arranger/music director; Wena Nagales, soprano 2; Joanne Francisco, soprano 1; Mitch dela Cruz, alto; Carl Trazo, tenor; and Mark Leonardo, bass…shown with DOT Sec. Ramon Jimenez Jr. when he was there in August last year. It was Sierra assigned to entertain Sec. Jimenez and his Philippine staff, and other international guests.

Oops! Pressed for time, we didn’t quite get into the very heart of Seoul, although we felt the beat of it.

The new look uses the new line called “Vampire Face 21,” showing off Sandara Park’s looks that’s almost ten years younger than her actual age.

The “Bloom Chick” look emphasizes clear and bright skin, going for a more natural look appropriate for spring time, giving off a bright, sunny mood.

The “Blook Chick” look can be achieved with Clio’s newly released product, “VF21 Base Line” that will give a smooth and sleek finish to one’s skin. The product, “VF21 Vollume Brightener” can be used to make dark areas of the skin appear lighter. The “Virgin Kiss Tinted Lip” number 2 saint peach color is used on the lips to add color.

With her baby-like skin and bright demeanor, Sandara Park‘s features at 30-years-old drew admiration from Clio’s staff, remarking on her perfect looks.

The Sandara Park make-up products that will help maximize one’s attractive looks are available for purchase at “Club Clio” store in Myeongdong, Olive Young stores nationwide, or in “Club Clio” online shop.

On the other hand, group 2NE1, of which Sandara Park is a member of, is preparing for their next album and are focused on their rehearsals.

Looks so so so cool! I want this! Dara looks super gorgeous with her long, curly, black hair! ^^ The photobook is A4 size and the calendar is B5 size. The photobook will have 80 pages! Wah! ^_^ It costs 5,500 yen, reservation period starts from April 6-12, and it’ll be available April 16-20. ^^
