Sandara Park turned heads when she revealed that she held her nose to record 2NE1′s Fire.
Sandara Park shared a behind-the-scenes story from the recording of Fire on the October 20 broadcast of JTBC′s Two Yoo Project – Sugar Man.
Upon hearing B1A4′s Baro rap on the show, Yoo Jae Suk turned to Sandara Park, asking “Don′t you rap too?”
Sandara Park answered, “I made my debut through rap. I recorded our debut song Fire while holding my nose,” before showing the guests how she recorded the line ′You got that fire, My heart, boom boom boom′ at the time.
Black Eyed Pilseung′s Rado appeared surprised, saying “I thought it was autotune.”
Sandara Park explained, “It was slightly autotuned, but the base is a nasally sound.”
Yoo Hee Yeol then said, “That company (YG) isn′t that glamorous. They just dress well,” drawing laughs.

JTBC’s “Sugar Man” has been confirmed for regular broadcasting. Its first episode will air on October 20 at 10:50 p.m.
“Sugar Man” is a program in which short-lived oldies are sculpted into their 2015-hit-song versions. Special guests will perform each song and whichever one gets the higher rating wins. A pilot version of the show was aired last August for two episodes and was praised for the teamwork shown betweenYoo Jae Suk and Yoo Hee Yeol.
“We will be highlighting the pilot version’s strengths and supplement its weaknesses in order to present an upgraded ‘Sugar Man,’” the staff said.
An especially drastic change will be the increase in spectators to 100 people, their ages ranging from 20 to 50 in order to represent all generations.
Fans are eager to see the synergy effect between star MC Yoo Jae Suk, sentimental musician Yoo Hee Yeol, lyricist Kim Li Na, and 2NE1’s Sandara Park.

2NE1 Sandara Park will be joining JTBC’s “Two Yoo Project – Sugarman.” This is her first MC challenge, 6 years after debuting.
“Two Yoo Project – Sugarman” had its first pilot episode broadcast on August, and will start its regular broadcast schedule on October. Sandara Park will be joining main MCs Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Hee Yeol as they embark on investigations about singers who have made hit songs, but have since disappeared in the music industry.
A production representative said, “Sandara Park has a special advantage of being able to balance out the emotions of the younger generation with the memories of the older generation. People can expect her to radiate this kind of charm that she hasn’t revealed before.”
Through her agency, Sandara Park revealed, “This is my first time as a fixed MC, so I really felt great! I think that this seems to be a really good opportunity. To be able to work with the best MC, the best composer, and the best lyricist makes me really happy, and if the opportunity to go on stage as a singer is available, then I really want to participate and give the best performance that I could give,” she said.
Sandara Park, who has activities as an actress nowadays, will be playing the role of a North Korean beauty pageant candidate in the KBS web drama, “Missing Korea,” which will be broadcast on October. She will also be playing the female protagonist of the musical movie, “Crank,” which is her debut starring role in a movie.
