2NE1 TOPS CHARTS 5 DAYS IN A ROW: MELLOW + NUDITY WORKED

[OSEN=박현민 기자] YG’s girl group 2NE1 has been topping music charts for 5 consecutive days with their new song ‘Missing  You.’

Since being released at 0 hour on Nov 21, 2NE1’s new song ‘Missing You’ has been sweeping major real-time charts in South Korea (as of morning of Nov 25) including Melon, Mnet.com, Olleh Music and Genie. Apart from this, the new song ranked #1 on daily charts of 6 major music sites including Mnet.com, Melon, Olleh Music, Daum Music, Cyworld Music and Genie Music.

2NE1’s new song ‘Missing You’ is a follow-up of their two previous songs ‘Falling in Love’ and ‘Do You Love Me.’ The new song tells a story of love at young age, with much sorrow in it. The song is gaining sensational popularity from female audience as they can relate to the song. Music video with CL’s nudity is also attracting much attention.

2NE1 unveiled their first performance of the new song on Nov 22 at the 2013 Mnet Asia Music Awards in Hong Kong, and they returned to South Korea on Nov 23 to perform their song on SBS’s Inkigayo on Nov 24.

Meanwhile, there are other songs on charts in the top range like San E’s ‘Break Up Dinner’ released on Nov 21 and Davichi’s ‘Letter.’

News: 2NE1 Returns On Inkigayo With Sorrowful + Sentimental ‘Missing You’

2NE1 RETURNS ON INKIGAYO WITH SORROWFUL+SENTIMENTAL ‘MISSING YOU’

[스타뉴스 김미화 기자] YG’s girl group 2NE1 (consisting of members BOM, DARA, CL and MINZY) returned with their new song ‘Missing You.’

On SBS’s music ranking program Inkigayo aired on Nov 24, all members of 2NE1 were up on stage to deliver a comeback performance.

At the show, each member was dressed in an individual outfit that suited them most. The four girls left the audience awe-struck with their sorrowful singing of ‘Missing You’, along with the sentimental ambience.

Their performance of ‘Missing You’ was unveiled for the first time at the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards on Nov 22 in Hong Kong. Starting from Inkigayo, 2NE1’s promotion for the song will kick off in full force in South Korea.

‘Missing You’ is a song written and composed by YG Entertainment’s main producer Teddy, and a low tune of base and piano make up the majority of the song. In the chorus part, the lyrics ‘Missing You’ gets played repeatedly, which makes the song an addictive one.

The lyrics hold the memories of past love. 2NE1 attracts the attention of the music fans by singing it in a dreamlike way, with a sentimental ambience that flows in the background with the ballad song.

On the same day on Inkigayo, other artists like Miss A, TAEYANG, Davichi, FT Island and K Will made an appearance as well.
