Dara introduced the “birth of Darongie” today, and said that she likes her multi-colored hair and that her “mehrong” is cute. ^^ Dara also said that she was very grateful that 2NE1 was chosen as ambassadors for KBEE this year and that she would like to introduce and promote Korean food to the world. ^^

South Korean girl group 2NE1 is going to be a bridge between Korea and England, specifically for an exchange of cultures.
Korea Brand and Entertainment Expo 2013 (KBEE) has chosen 2NE1 as its honorary ambassador at the event, which will be held from Nov 4 to 6 in London’s Old Billingsgate.
The 2013 KBEE, fourth of its kind, are jointly hosted by Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This event is held on an annual basis with the aim to create a common ground in culture and industry.
KOTRA’s (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) manager for strategic marketing, Kim Byung Kwon stated, “2NE1 is a girl group that represents Korea and is well known in Europe as well. That’s the reason behind appointing 2NE1 as the honorary ambassadors.” He added, “This year marks the 130th anniversary of Korea and Britain’s diplomatic tie. This Expo is expected to strengthen the cooperation among young people from both countries and will function as a bridge for expanding cultural and economic exchanges.”
At the promotion zone, contents from K-Pop and Hologram-using IT convergence experience center will be showcased as the main entertainment feature. The hologram of PSY, which was unveiled in July at Everland will be revealed on an international stage in Britain for 3 days.
2NE1 is the first South Korean girl group to have completed a global tour around the United States and Asia. They are also widely known overseas by having worked with world-famous producers and fashion designers including Will.i.am and Jeremy Scott.
At the beginning of this year, YG Entertainment established a joint venture NIX (Next Interactive K, Limited), a hologram contents distribution project, and showcased 4D hologram image of PSY at ‘(K-POP Hologram) YG at Everland’. The agency is putting much effort in converging its artists with IT.
The official appointment of 2NE1 as honorary ambassadors for KBEE 2013 will be taking place on Oct 10 at 4p.m. The venue is International Conference Room of KOTRA headquarter building.
