[일간스포츠 정지원·김진석] You can find Yoo In Na (32) in most hit Korean soap operas. She first made her debut in “Unstoppable High Kick!” and later appeared in “Secret Garden,” and “The Greatest Love.” All the pieces that she took part in had high viewing rates and were popular. Yoo In Na didn’t play big roles in all of the dramas. But, she did her best in her role, whether big or small, and added a special touch to the drama. She said, “I didn’t try to be greedy in selecting roles. I just chose roles that I could play well.”

Many people in the media want to work with her. As all of the dramas that she was in was a success, she is also called “an actor who brings good luck.” Recently, her latest soap opera “My Love from the Star” of SBS was also a great success. Yoo In Na played Yu Se-mi, the rival of the female leading character Jeon Ji-hyun. Yoo In Na is also the new MC of “Get It Beauty 2014” in On Style channel, with which she broadened her sphere. For the last 4 years, she has been working as a DJ in the radio program “Turn Up the Volume.” Her experience as DJ can now be found in TV, as well, which all indicate to Yoo In Na’s various talents.

The Drunk Talk with Yoo In Na was conducted in an indoor snack bar near Hong-ik University. The reporter had met with Yoo In Na several times before, but it was the first time to have a drink with her. In the comfortable atmosphere, it was easier to see what kind of person Yoo In Na was. It was hard to see any mean traits in her as shown in some of her soap opera roles. The following is the interview with Yoo In Na, who laughed constantly throughout the interview.

-Do you often meet with other celebrities in the YG Entertainment?

“As each one of us is busy, it is not so easy to gather together. I am a big fan of Big Bang and 2NE1, and I constantly listen to 2NE1’s CD in my car. It still feels very strange to see them in the company cafeteria (laughter). YG Entertainment used to be a nest for singers, but actors are also joining in, so it gives me much comfort. Although we don’t meet much, I became really good friends with Sandara Park. People think about her as being quirky, but she also has other sides. She also likes to make people laugh.”

-How often do you meet with the CEO, Yang Hyun-suk?

“It’s quite less than you think. Sometimes he calls me and asks what I’m doing, though he knew at that time very well that I was doing a drama. He encourages me and gives me power.”

News: 2NE1 Shows Powerful Choreography of “Come Back Home” Created by Yang Hyun Suk

2NE1 SHOWS POWERFUL CHOREOGRAPHY OF “COME BACK HOME”, CREATED BY YANG HYUN SUK

[OSEN=권지영 기자] The choreography video of “COME BACK HOME”, one of the double title tracks of girl group 2NE1’s second full-length album, has been disclosed. The choreography has been drawing a big attention even before its disclosure, as it is known to have been created based on the initiative by YG’s head Yang Hyun Suk.

In the morning on the 14, the choreography video of “COME BACK HOME” was disclosed on YG’s official blog. In the video, 2NE1 is showing groovy and restrained group dance with male dancers.

Even though 2NE1 is wearing comfortable outfit such as training suit, they show a perfect performance, not losing their flagship charisma. Plus, they leave a strong impression by demonstrating feminine but restrained moves.

Notably, they are showing a very impressive choreography, which has been creating sensation recently as it is known to have been created directly by YG’s head producer Yang Hyun Suk. Yang had choreographed “COME BACK HOME” of Seo Taiji and Boys in 1995 himself, and now, he has choreographed 2NE1’s song with the same title with his hit song 10 years ago, to come under a big spotlight.

Yang Hyun Suk took the initiative for the choreography of “COME BACK HOME” because of 2NE1 members’ request. According to YG insiders, 2NE1 members like the choreography of Seo Taiji and Boys’ “COME BACK HOME” very much, so they thought their performance would be perfect if Yang Hyun Suk choreographs it himself, since the title of the song is the same and the point of the song is also hip-hop.

Recently, Yang Hyun Suk has not created choreography for YG artists because of his busy schedules. However, he thought highly of such idea of 2NE1 and choreographed 2NE1’s “COME BACK HOME” himself, and spared no support and advice for 2NE1 in the whole process of the practice of the choreography.

Before that, 2NE1 has already given rave reviews for their free but powerful performances on the stage of SBS “INKIGAYO” and Mnet’s “M-Countdown”. Fans who saw the choreography video are giving positive responses, saying, “The new choreography video of 2NE1 is so cool”, “They dance quite impressively”, and “That’s 2NE1”, etc.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 has now kicked off TV performances in earnest and is to meet overseas fans in their second world tour “ALL OR NOTHING”, while continuing to give performances in Korea.

[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] 2NE1, the girl group of 4 members (CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom and Gong Minji) not only topped the GAON Digital Chart but also had 9 of their songs in the top 20.

According to the GAON Chart on Mar. 13, the title song “Come Back Home” of 2NE1’s second album “Crush,” which was released on Feb. 27, received 17,784,174 scores in the third week of March (Mar. 2 to 8), and topped the GAON Digital Chart with ease.

This is not all.

2NE1’s another title song “Gotta Be You” ranked 3, “If I were you” ranked 8. Other songs such as “Crush,” “Good to You,” “Mental Breakdown,” “Happy,” “Scream,” “Baby I Miss You” ranked 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 19, respectively. Nine songs out of 10 in the second album were ranked within 20 in the GAON Digital Chart.

Thinking that the only track that didn’t make it into the top 20 was the unplugged version of “Come Back Home,” it is right to say that all songs in the second album were listed in the top 20 of the GAON Digital Chart.

With their song “Come Back Home,” 2NE1 also topped the Online Download Chart of GAON in the third week of March.

In the afternoon of Mar. 13, 2NE1 will make its first show in “M Countdown,” which is a K-POP ranking program of Mnet. In the show, 2NE1 will sing “Come Back Home” and “If I were you,” which topped the digital chart. On Mar. 9, 2NE1 did appear on TV through SBS Inkigayo with their second album. But it is still their first time showing “If I were you” on Mnet.

“Mr. Mr,” a fourth mini-album of Girls’ Generation released in Feb. took the first place in the GAON Album Chart for the third week of Mar. The Online Streaming Chart was topped by Soyou and Junggigo’s “Some.”

News: 2NE1 Throws Away Other “Sexy” Girl Groups

2NE1 THROWS AWAY OTHER “SEXY” GIRL GROUPS

GottaBe4You

[국민일보=박지훈기자] 2NE1 has a firm standing in the K-POP world. Their songs are based on African-American music, they have their own characteristics, and that is why they are popular in and outside the country. 2NE1 is different from other girl groups which are either cute or sexy.

2NE1’s newly-released second album “Crush” is gaining much popularity among fans. It not only topped various music charts in Korea, but it also was included in the Billboard Charts, which is called the “Dream chart” among musicians. 2NE1 also started a world tour in 12 cities of 9 countries, and they are estimated to engage more than 200,000 fans. 2NE1’s popularity knows no end. What is the driving force behind all this popularity?

2NE1’s success story: 2NE1 made its debut in May. 2009 with their single album “Fire.” In 2010, their first mini album’s title song “I Don’t Care” made a hit and it gave 2NE1 an unwavering standing. Ever since, 2NE1 has been named with the girl group “Girls’ Generation” as representative K-POP groups.

With the release of the second album, it seems that 2NE1 is becoming more powerful. 2NE1 easily won the competition against Girls’ Generation, which released its new song around the time 2NE1 did. 2NE1’s album ranked 61 in the U.S. Billboard Album Chart, “Billboard 200” on Mar. 5. This is much better than that of “Twinkle”, the mini album by a unit of Girls’ Generation, “Taetiseo,” whose best ranking was 126. In the Single Chart “Hot 100,” Psy’s “Gangnam Style” ranked as high as 2, but 2NE1’s is the first time that a K-POP singer made into 100 in the “Billboard 200.”

Overseas media are applauding the results. Billboard praised “COME BACK HOME,” the title song of 2NE1’s second album, as being an explosive new song with the combination of various genres. The U.S. music channel Fuse TV and the music magazine SPIN have also given spotlight to 2NE1’s new album with keen interest.

A director of a record company said, “I am not really sure about the charms of each member. But their music does seem ‘high-level.’ They are different from other girl groups who only want to appeal their sexy side.”

2NE1, where is your end? In 2014, there already has been many impressive points in 2NE1’s work. They are proving to be more “global” than other K-POP groups. For instance, in Jan., 2NE1 appeared in ABC’s reality program “THE BACHELOR,” which is broadcast across the nation. In Mar. 11, when reports about CL and G-Dragon partnering with a famous U.S. musician Skrillex were released, it aroused great interest.

Korean music critic Gang Tae-gyu said, “Most girl groups tend to show off their looks, so it’s hard for them to refresh their image after some time.” He added, “But 2NE1 is focused more on the music rather than looks, so they will probably long-run. Their competitiveness in the global market will rise.”
