Official: YG-Life – FROM YG; 2NE1 COMEBACK!!!

Finally! YG has decided to break his silence and posted something concrete about 2NE1’s comeback!!!

2NE1 will be releasing a REGGAE song early July with the title, “Falling In Love.” According to YG, 2NE1 will be releasing ONE NEW SONG AND MUSIC VIDEO EACH MONTH FROM JULY TO OCTOBER. That means there’s one for July, August, September and October.

Hello, everyone. This is Yang Hyun Suk.

It has been a long time since I said hello to you though FROM YG. The reason why I am writing FROM YG

after such a long time is to tell all of you fans out there, the hottest news on the new albums of YG singers

which are set to be released after July. What’s more, a new YG girl group will be releasing their debut album

after four years of preparation. It has been such a long time since I last wrote FROM YG so I have a lot to say.

To give you an full update on what`s new, I will be writing several FROM YGs from now on. In order to make things simple,

I am going tell you what`s happening in YG by answering some questions. I hope you excuse me for using the Q&A format.

When will 2NE1 make a comeback?

Since their debut, 2NE1 has rocked the charts with numerous hit songs year after year. Just to name a few,

in 2009, ‘Fire’ , ‘I Don’t Care’

in 2010, ‘Can’t Nobody’, ‘Go Away’, ‘Clap Your Hands’

in 2011, ‘I am the Best’, ‘Lonely’ and ‘UGLY’.

However, in 2012, the fans were not able to see much of 2NE1 because of their tight world tour schedule.

‘I LOVE YOU’ was the one and only song that 2NE1 released in 2012.

2NE1 is always eager to meet the fans. So rather than releasing all the new songs that 2NE1 prepared

during the last two years in just one album, 2NE1 is planning to release the songs plus music videos

one a month until the end of this year.

2NE1 new title song will be released in early July, followed by other new tracks in August and September.

In October, we are planning to showcase a mini-album or the official second album of 2NE1.

So, 2NE1 will be promoting at least four tracks from July to October.

What are the genres of 2NE1`s new songs and what are their plans for concerts? 

2NE1`s new song, which will be released in early July, will be reggae, an entirely new genre for 2NE1.

The title of the song is ‘Falling in Love’. 2NE1 is certainly trying something new with this new song

but it will sure show all the great stuff that 2NE1 has as the top female K-pop group. For a new twist,

2NE1 is working with new choreographers from overseas. I am sure that the fans will get to love the new title.

Regarding concerts, we do have plans for 2NE1 concerts after the release of the new album in October.

I will fill you up with details as soon as the plans get finalized. I hope that you send your love

and support to 2NE1 and their new songs.

DARA PAYS A SURPRISE VISIT TO CHEER ON CL FOR HER SOLO DEBUT

Dara, a member of the female group 2NE1, paid a surprise visit to cheer the leader of the group, CL, for her very first solo performance.

In the afternoon of June 2, Dara tweeted “CL’s “The Baddest Female” is absolutely awesome. You are all going to watch Inkigayo right? She’s so cool. I’m so going to be her fan.” Along with her tweet, she also posted a photograph.

Dara in the posted photograph is in pigtails, with a cheering placard in her hands. The placard read “she’s got the best smile.” She also photographed herself with a different placard in the waiting room.

On June 2, CL’s much-anticipated “The Baddest Female” was finally unveiled on SBS’s music program, Inkigayo. The very first performance was filled with CL’s alluring and strong charisma, which ended in a great success.

Online users who saw Dara’s tweet gave some positive reviews like, “heart-warming friendship”, “Dara is adorable!” and “CL’s performance was simply awesome.”

Fans should stay excited because they will be seeing a lot more of CL from now on with the kick-off of the first successful performance of “The Baddest Female.”

2NE1 and high jewelry brand “Chrome Hearts” have embarked on a new collaboration.

For a month, from May 29th-June 27th, 2NE1 has been chosen as the new models for Shinsegae Department Store’s “2NE1 Loves Shinsegae” campaign, which is a collaboration with luxury high jewelry brand, Chrome Hearts.

Chrome Hearts would be holding an event starting on May 19th, displaying a pop-up store on the 5th floor of the main building of Shinsegae Department Store, which will showcase the products of the first 2NE1-Chrome Hearts collaboration project that the girls specifically participated in the planning and designing for. These products would only be exclusively released locally, and after a month, then they will be released in Chrome Hearts stores found internationally.

The various advertisement media that showcases 2NE1 would be displayed on the walls of the Shinsegae Department Store main branch building, as well as on fashion magazines, websites, blogs, and SNS. People can expect more dynamic and active advertising methods for this event.

In addition, Shinsegae, having chosen 2NE1 specifically as their models, would be designing special gift catalogs that will show the products that each of the 2NE1 members have had a hand in the production of; the special promotions will be concentrating on the different lifestyles and tastes of the consumers.

A YG representative reveals, “With fashion leaders 2NE1 who attracts a strong, young generation of consumers, Shinsegae Department Store that holds its integrity with its high quality image, plus the stylish and luxurious high-end jewelry, Chrome Hearts, this collaboration is the kind where you can expect a new synergy that will work well together,” he says.

On the other hand, 2NE1’s leader, CL will be debuting her first solo on May 28th, four years after their debut. 2NE1 is expected to also have a comeback as a group after.

We finally now know what the “2NE1 LOVES” Teasers are all about. Its 2NE1’s collaboration with Luxury Department Store SHINSEGAE which literally means “NEW WORLD”.

Shinsegae (Korean: 신세계, KRX: 004170) is a South Koreandepartment storefranchise, along with several other businesses, headquartering in Seoul, South Korea. The name of Shinsegae literally means “New World” in Korean. Its flagship store in Centum City, Busan, is the world’s largest department store, surpassing the Macy’s department store in New York City in 2009. Shinsegae is one of the “big three” department stores in the city (the other two are Lotte and Hyundai) and it’s a dazzling emporium that sells all manner of merchandise. The Main Store represents the tradition of SHINSEGAE Department store. It is a luxurious premium shopping venue where customers can enjoy both shopping and cultural events at such places as the premium multi-brand shops, the Trinity Garden and the Art Gallery.

The “2NE1 Loves Shinsegae” Campaign will be from May 29 to June 27. Its about Shinsegae embarking into a “New World” (Shinsegae) – a transformation into a young and dynamic fashion department store.
