SANDARA PARK IS GOING TO BE BACK IN PHILIPPINE CINEMAS!

Former 2NE1 member Dara, known to the Philippines by many as Sandara Park, is making a comeback to Philippine cinemas with the Korean film One Step.

Dara has been a popular face in Philippine movies through her lead and supporting roles in Bcuz of U, Can This Be Love, D’ Lucky Ones and Super Noypi. She also had cameo appearances on Volta and My Ex and Whys.

The film was initially released in South Korea on April 6, 2017 and will be locally distributed nationwide in the Philippines by VIVA International Pictures. The film is directed by Juhn Jai Hong.

Dara plays the lead role and shares the limelight of her official comeback in the big screen with co-stars Han Jae Suk, Cho Dong In and Hong Ah Reum.

‘ONE STEP’ FILM SYNOPSIS

After a car accident, Si-hyun (Dara Park) is left with no memory of her past and lives with Ji-won (Hong Ah Reum) whom she met at the hospital. Si-hyun has colored hearing, an illness that visualizes sounds into colors. The mixed array of colors she sees with music makes her dizzy, so she protects herself by wearing a set of giant headphones.

One day, Ji-won’s brother Woo-hyuk (Cho Dong In) hears Si-hyun humming a melody in her sleep. He writes it down and gives her the score, hoping it will help recall her past.

Meanwhile, Jee-il (Han Jae Suk), a washed-out songwriter chances upon this score and offers to find the melody Si-hyun continues to hear in her dreams.

They embark on a healing journey as they collaborate to complete Si-hyun’s melody.

WHAT IS COLORED HEARING?

Colored Hearing is a type of synesthesia in which head sounds automatically and involuntarily evoke an experience of color. There are no causes that have been clearly identified, but in some cases, past experiences can influence this condition.

News: Dara Recently Talked About her Future Goals with Park Bom

C8oqPx4XoAIAQ7Y

Sandara Park recently talked about her goals for the future.

During an interview for her upcoming film “One Step,” the singer-turned-actress talked about her new role as Hong Seol’s friend Jang Bora in the film “Cheese in the Trap.” According to the report, Sandara Park has worked hard to bring her character Jang Bora to life. Even during her audition, she surprised the production team by preparing a refreshing and straightforward way of speaking for the role. “Rather than creating something, I’d rather act in my own style as usual. The director requested that I do so.”

Sandara Park revealed that her ultimate goal is to be a versatile entertainer, and chose Uhm Jung Hwa as a role model. “I recently talked about it with Park Bom at the ‘One Step’ press screening. When Uhm Jung Hwa acts, people don’t think of her as a singer. On the flip side, it’s not awkward when she stands on the stage. It’s to the point where you don’t even think of her image as an actor. I also want to transform whenever I’m active in different fields.” She then stated that she wants to be a “little Uhm Jung Hwa.”

“Of course I don’t think I can do as much as Uhm Jung Hwa,” Sandara Park said. “But I want to follow in her footsteps. I want to work hard in a variety of different fields. I’m going to work hard so that it’s not awkward. Since I’ve already done acting and singing, the only thing that’s left is to be a radio DJ. I really want to take on that challenge one day.”

Meanwhile, Sandara Park’s upcoming film “One Step” is set to release on April 6.

News: “Leaving the comfort zone of 2NE1 and getting into a battle field”… Sandara Park’s 3rd life.

[OSEN Journalist Jang Jin Ri]

Sandara has shown a “true her” through music movie “One Step”. It was the first time she participated in a movie and played the leading role, which made it even more meaningful for her.

Sandara Park debuted as a 2NE1 member in 2009 and being a singer for several years. She now has a brand new title – actress – due to the movie “One Step”. Dara is gradually showing herself as an actress from web drama to the movie. Although she says “Well begun is half done.”, she only rates her acting skill a 51 points.

“I feel like I don’t really recognize myself. I never do. I’m the kind of person who cannot recognize myself. If 100 is maximum, I might get 51. But that is what beginning means, since there is a saying “Well begum is half done.” If I rated myself 100 it’d be like a poser.” She laughed.

“One Step” is talking about Sihyun who lost her memory in an accident and Jill who was a composer but suddenly failed to compose songs. They cured each other through music and during the time they both grew up. As for Sihyun and Jill’s story and the slogan of the movie: “Who am I?”, Sandara said: “Due to my busy work these years, I barely asked myself “Who am I?”. But while we were filming the movie, I asked myself “Who am I?”, then I realized “Just Sandara Park” so I could keep doing this.”

2017 means a lot of “for the first time” to Sandara Park. Solo activities for the first time, participating in a movie for the first time, playing a leading role for the first time. Sandara Park is excited for it but also a bit nervous. However, she says its gonna be “Sandara Park’s 3rd life.”

“I had been a singer for a long time, but there is no solo songs that for me to feel like “This is my song.”. Now I just left the comfort zone of 2NE1 and stepped into a battlefied. It’s war and I have to fight for it. It seems to be my 3rd life. My 1st life was in the Philippines, 2nd was being 2NE1 member. And now this solo Sandara Park is gonna be the 3rd life.”

Sandara Park is willing to do something as a singer even though she is officially stepping into acting. “I want to be a person like Um Jung-Hwa sunbae. She is a singer when she sings, and becomes an actress when she acts. I want to become little Um Jung-Hwa. I’d love to have much more acitivites in the one and only path that Um Jung-Hwa unnie has walked by.”
