PETALING JAYA: Save the date, K-pop lovers! South Korean girl group 2NE1 will perform their first full-fledged concert in Malaysia on May 23, slated to take place at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur.

The “2014 2NE1 World Tour All Or Nothing” is the group’s second global outing, and members CL, Dara, Park Bom and Minzy will perform their previous chart-topping hits and the latest singles such as Falling In Love, Do You Love Me, and Missing You.

Fans can also anticipate new songs from their upcoming album, All Or Nothing.

According to 2NE1’s official Facebook page on Thursday, the team for this tour’s production will include co-directors Travis Payne and Stacy Walker, who worked on label-mate G-Dragon’s “One Of a Kind” world tour in 2013, and Possible Productions for production design and visual contents.

The tour will kick off on March 1 with a two-day concert at SK Handball Stadium in Seoul, Korea, and will continue in 13 cities in nine countries, with a total of 17 shows at this point.

Known for their diverse range of musical stylings influenced by genres such as hip hop, reggae, and Korean teurouteu (trot), the fashion-forward female members have been a breath of fresh air in the frenetic K-pop scene since their debut in 2009 with the hit single, Fire.

In March 2013, 2NE1 performed several of their hits, including Can’t Nobody andLonely, at the Twin Towers Alive 2013 concert in Plaza KLCC.

In 2012, their Dec 8 appearance at Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam was cancelled, with organiser Running Into The Sun stating the “2NE1 Global Tour 2012 In Malaysia New Evolution” was called off due to technical issues.

The 2NE1 “All or Nothing” trailer has been earning a lot of buzz, and some discussions are perhaps more bizarre than others.

Last week, 2NE1 released a very theatrical trailer for their upcoming world tour and new album, “All or Nothing.”

According to 2NE1 member Dara on YG-Life, the inspiration for the trailer is that the members “come from the stars,” and the trailer shows an asteroid-like object flying towards Earth.

And while this is a very legitimate explanation for the “All or Nothing” trailer, some Blackjacks and viewers experienced discomfort watching it.

If you scroll through the YouTube comments, some are describing the asteroid as looking like a sperm impregnating a womb! The “All or Nothing” animation, which emphasizes the ‘O’ shape also seems to be leading certain viewers on about this interpretation.

You can see a really scathing review of this 2NE1 trailer here, where the same interpretation is used to describe the trailer as “stupid,” igniting hundreds of comments.

Even so, the members of 2NE1 appear to be very happy with the results of using chromatography technique and the galactic inspiration.

“Such a cool teaser resulted from the detailed expressions of emotions from the members and everybody’s detailed efforts and this is happy, happy captain San,” writes Dara.

“The look in the eyes of the youngest member got much sexier and the pose also became much more provocative when she turned 21… Wow, I am worried about you, Minzy!”

On January 27, 2NE1 appeared on ABC’s hit reality show “The Bachelor,” fostering a new interest in the girl group in the United States and Canada.

The cast of “The Bachelor” visited YG Entertainment headquarters in South Korea. The show introduced YG to the cast as the place where “K-Pop in South Korea happens,” and compared 2NE1 to the Spice Girls, saying that 2NE1 are megastars in Korea. 2NE1 then welcomed the cast, who came into their dance studio, and taught them the dance to “I Am the Best.”

One of the girls on the show said, awestruck, “2NE1 is huge here in Korea. Their YouTube video has 77 million views. Million. That’s a lot of views.” 2NE1 also invited the “Bachelor” cast to perform with them for “I Am the Best” during their mini concert at Times Square in Seoul.

Following the broadcast of “The Bachelor,” 2NE1’s “I Am the Best” shot up to 3rd place on the U.S. iTunes’ electronic singles chart, and took over the top spot on Canada’s electronic singles chart, as well.

In other news, 2NE1 will be starting their second world tour in March at the Seoul Olympic Park SK Handball Stadium.

Girl group 2NE1 member, Sandara Park, recently posted a certification shot of herself in YG Entertainment‘s cafeteria.

On the evening of January 28th, Sandara Park posted on her Twitter, “Phew~ I arrived before the cafeteria closed. Today’s menu is bulgogi! Thank you for the meal. If you worked hard.. eat!” along with a photo of herself.

In the picture, Sandara Park is seen standing and smiling brightly at the camera, with the cafeteria seen in the background. Sandara Park‘s radiant and happy smile drew the attention of those who saw the photo, and her tray full of food caught attention as well.

In particular, her beauty stood out even though she was wearing casual wear comprising of a t-shirt hoodie, jacket, jeans, and sneakers. Her 1:8 golden body ratio (T/N: Before you ask what the heck is a 1:8 ratio, it is Korea’s famous “Golden Ratio,” which refers to head:body ratio, where the head should be 1/8 of the body’s length. At 8 pm on Jan 27, 2NE1 appeared on the 18th date episode of The Bachelor, becoming dance coaches of ‘I Am the Best.’

‘I Am the Best’, released on YouTube in June 2006 has raked in 84 million views, becoming 2NE1’s main hit song. After their appearance on The Bachelor on Jan 28, the song ranked #3 in Electronic single chart in America’s iTunes and #1 in Canada’s. Their popularity is climbing up the ladder very quickly after the TV show.

‘The Bachelor’ is a hit reality series that holds a journey of a man looking for one soul mate among many women. It’s a long-loved program in its 18th season, and in the latest episode, Venezuelan former soccer player Juan Pablo Galavis appeared to enjoy his date with a number of beautiful women.

In the episode, the staffers and guests of the show visited YG’s headquarter to film dance coach group dating scene. The Bachelor team told the guests YG is where K-Pop is created, and a place where they can meet Korea’s most popular girl group, 2NE1. They added, 2NE1 is like Spice Girls, and they are super stars.

2NE1 coached the guests how to dance ‘I Am the Best,’ and one of them extolled their song and the choreography by saying it attracted 77 million views on YouTube. Another mentioned 2NE1’s the most popular K-Pop group in Korea, all very excited.

2NE1 invited the guests to their mini concert held at Seoul Times Square, and performed ‘I Am the Best’ together. The guests commented how every floor was filled with people and realized how popular 2NE1 actually is. They were excited to see scores of fans and was greatly satisfied they stood on stage with Korea’s most famous girl group.

After the show was aired, 2NE1’s hit song became even more popular, and is expected to maintain the enthusiasm for a while.

2NE1 is busy preparing their 2nd World Tour, after releasing 3 new songs ‘Falling in Love,’ ‘Do You Love Me,’ and ‘Missing You’ in 2013.

2NE1 is set to kick off their World Tour from March 1 and 2 at Seoul’s Olympic Park SK Handball Arena. They will tour around 9 countries including Japan and China, across 13 cities.

On January 25, Bigbang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang posted a photo of sneakers on their own Instagram, revealing that they received sneakers from ‘Rickowens x adidas’ as a gift.

On the same day, 2NE1’s Sandara and CL also posted photos of them in those same sneakers on their Instagram, along with a message that they specially received from rickowens x adidas.

World-famous designer Rick Owens is known to love activities and workout very much so he recently collaborated with shoes brand adidas for 2014 S/S collection. Thus, what these four YG Entertainment stars received are unique running shoes that Rick Owens designed with adidas.

Today, the male idol group Big Bang held a concert in Seoul. The same agency’s group 2NE1’s member Dara had attended the concert, showing support.

K-pop girl group 2NE1 will get some bigtime U.S. TV exposure with an appearance on “The Bachelor.”

The will.i.am collaborators will be the focus of a group date where current Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis, and six girls will learn choreography from Bom, Minzy, CL and Dara in Seoul, South Korea.

Spoiler alert: “Bachelor” fans may have already spotted the K-pop group in a teaser video for the episode. Based on the dance moves shown in the clip, 2NE1 followers have deduced that the act will teach the choreography to one of their signature hits, “I Am the Best,” which was covered on “So You Think You Can Dance?” last August.

With more than 83 million views, the “I Am the Best” music video is one of the most watched K-pop vids on YouTube.

“The Bachelor” episode featuring 2NE1 is scheduled to air Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

WINNER discloses WINNER’s version of “MISSING YOU”, 2NE1’s ballad song, in cable channel Mnet’s reality show “WINNER TV” that will be broadcasted in the evening on the 24.

WINNER’s “MISSING YOU” starts with SONG MINHO’s rap and is an acoustic song in which the tones of KANG SEUNGYOON, NAM TAEHYUN, and KIM JINWOO create a harmony.

Plus, WINNER’s “1st WINNER WINTER SPORTS COMPETITION” held on a snow field will be also disclosed in the episode, too.
