Fans of the group’s “I Am The Best” will devour this electro-pop jam.
If reggae-tinged mid-tempo “Falling in Love” threw 2NE1 fans for a loop, their latest, “Do You Love Me?,” should satisfy and then some. The new track plays off one of the quartet’s biggest hits while borrowing from labelmates BIGBANG along the way.
With a Euro-dance production — not unsimilar to something Afrojack might cook up — the track opens with an anthemic spelling of its title, “D-O-Y-O-U-L-O-V-E-M-E?” before moving into the English chorus. The zipping synths recall 2NE1‘s arguably biggest hit, “I Am The Best.” While the focus of “Best” was its monotone chorus and Indian-inspired chant, this new track is centered around a hook even more infectious (“Do you love me like the way I love you, babe?”) and big-time belts from both main vocalist Bom and leader CL.
The bridge is sure to delight fans as well as it sounds similar to the final 25 seconds of labelmates BIGBANG’s 2012 hit “Fantastic Baby”, as both employ a euphoric sing-a-long style and similar “yeah yeah yeah” shouts.
Like what they did in “Falling in Love,” 2NE1 is showcasing more intricate choreography for the live stage. While it remains simpler than what we’ve seen from After School or Girls’ Generation this year, additional focus on fancy footwork is clear. Fans first got a sense of it with an in-studio “dance version” music video of the new track, revealed a few hours ahead of the official music video.
2NE1‘s previous single “Falling in Love” is at No. 8 on the K-Pop Hot 100 after four weeks. It peaked at No. 2.

OMG YOU GUYS! /crying even happier tears from yesterday
I know some people expressed their doubts for the MV when we heard about the “home video” concept. Even us admins here in OhDara were divided on it. Personally, I was looking forward to its surely unique video and attack and wanted to see how the girls would let it all out and have crazy fun and yet make the video appealing to their fans and non-fans alike! And this video DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It was unique in the sense that it wasn’t all glossy and crisply cut, there were no giant robots, no overwhelming sets, no blinged-out props, no out of this world outfits, no crazy, crazy hairstyles.. YET it stands out in its crazy, fun simplicity! It’s refreshing to see the girls have fun with each other! I’m sure that they felt some bit of awkwardness shooting at the start, but you can see how they just stopped thinking about the filming and just went all out to have fun!
I’ve always loved 2NE1 TV because it showed how the girls are behind the fierce stage personas, and this gave us a glimpse of it again! Love how Dara showed her dorky self, her bright smiles, cute facial expressions… and interactions with the members and the guests in the vid are a MUST-WATCH! And OH! THUNDER was in the video!!! /aspefouatjelfjkelk commence crazy fangirling AND AND AND the pool scene was shown during Dara’s part in the first verse, so we have lotsa wet, fun Dara in the pool shots! XDDD Then we have DaRin moments in the car scenes, Park Sisters moments, DaMin moments! Just 2NE1 moments enjoying their sisterhood. T_T

On 7th Dara tweeted “Yes this scene was inspired by the movie ‘The Ring’ Since it is summer. I am Sandako, am I scary?” and posted a picture.
In the picture Dara is lifting off from a urinal raising her eyes. Especially the sight of her having hair rollers on is whimsy.
Netizen responded to the picture as following, “Dara is cute at everything”, “Sandako she is so funny” and so on.
The picture was taken during 2NE1’s music video for ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ which was in home video form and recently released.
Meanwhile, 2NE1 is topping all charts right after releasing ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ at noon. They will be appearing at Mnet ‘M!Countdown, KBS 2TV ’Music Bank’ and SMS ‘The Music Trend’ after releasing their music video on 8th 10 AM.
