MTVstyle: Dara From 2NE1 Makes Me Want Weird Hair Things
Look, anyone can have their favorite 2NE1 member, but if you ask me Dara’s the most awesome. Especially in terms of style.
I know it’s not a contest, but there’s just something so noisy and interesting about the way she throws a GANG of colors and patterns together, and because she’s so whippet-thin her oversized clothes take up interesting amounts of space on her slight frame. It just reminds me of if a blowfish got dressed after watching a TON of TLC videos circa when Cross Colours was cool (aka the “What About Your Friends” video era. TOTAL CUHLASSIC, look it up if you’re too young to be up on it). Basically she’s got swag for days.
ANYWAY, when I interviewed them during their first U.S. performance I became completely smitten with the giant contraption on Dara’s head. I thought she looked just like Daisy-Head Mayzie and 100 percent beautiful. WAAAAAAAAANT. Especially since stick-straight, long, luxurious ponytails are that HOT ISH (hullo, Katy Perry at the KCAs or Iggy Azealia all the time) and especially-est because I have long hair also and believe in my heart that if I hoisted it all up in a big gold hair conical thing that it will haul all my wrinkles to the tippy-top of my head and away from sight. Basically, I am going to get a couple of these jams from ASOS and stack them and see if it works and if I look awesome (I will probably only do, like, two of them and not be as extreme as Dara’s), OR I will just return all of them because I look ridiculous and buy some creams and elixirs made from placenta for a jillion dollars to slather on my face BECAUSE IT’S FROM FRANCE and because I am vain. Awww, Dara’s bare face and cute smile! \(^____^)/ And look at those stuff she’s clutching! Those were fans’ gifts for her that she took, while walking towards the train station! ^^
The fan who took this picture said that she was able to give Dara her gift. Then Dara looked at her directly and smiled at her! ^^ They even talked for a bit! ^^
The fan’s name is Mana (@ma0na4chi on Twitter), and this isn’t the first time that she gave a gift for Dara! Remember the customized Kiiroitori stuffed toy that Dara brought along with her to Korea, and which we first saw in OMG’s fancam? ^^
Well, it was also Mana who gave it to her! ^.^
As a fan, it warms my heart how happy she is to give Dara something, and I also feel her happiness and giddiness as she spazzed about Dara carrying her gifts! ^^ Love that our bias is so loving to fans as well. ^^

Dara wears a shirt and holds a totebag from Jeremy Scott’s recent “Greetings From Paradise” collection. Her pants are from Gerlan Jeans (a brand she has been wearing since 2009), from their S/S 2012 collection called “Mall Witch.” Her shoes are also from a recent collection, the Christian Louboutin Sneaker Collection Spring/Summer 2012.

Interview: 2NE1′s Interview With Oricon Japan, Part 2
ー The relationship between you four is really good and you speak of each other very well.
DARA: It’s always been the four of us together. Though we have this age difference, we communicate well with each other. We fit each other. But during times when we have our own opinion on something and we enforce on it, testing each other’s patience, we go off by ourselves first instead of forcefully imposing. In that way, we get to honestly say what we feel after a time, and we get a better understanding of each other when we then listen to what the others have to say before drawing a conclusion.
ー Maintaining a good relationship with each other by not piling up on stress.
DARA: Though CL is younger, she’s definitely 2NE1’s lader. She has a way of looking at things about 2NE1 objectively. In this sense, the unnies are like the maknaes, and the maknaes like the unnies. Ha ha!
