2NE1 SHINES ON RUNNING MAN – 2NE1’S LONG-AWAITED APPEARANCE ON A VARIETY SHOW

2NE1 and TAEYANG guested on the SBS’s TV show “Good Sunday – Running Man” televised from 6:10 PM KST on 28th to accomplish missions under the theme of “alien idols’ invasion of Earth.”
The first appearance of 2NE1 on a national variety TV show turned out to be an excellent opportunity for the four girls to show off their wit and talent.
Among other things, each of the four members showed their own unique charms and characters, proving that they are excellent entertainers.
DARA was cute and adorable with her characteristic uniqueness. With her hair tied into a palm tree like shape just like on her debut stage, DARA made everyone laugh when she tried to hide behind bushes or rode in a car. She never went unnoticed because of her unique hairstyle! DARA was just adorable when she asked “Should I reply?” after getting a text message from the production crew about a mission, and when she shouted with joy “Yay!” after securing a water container.
The youngest member MINZY earned a nickname thanks to her great “power”. During a game in a pool in Yeoido, Seoul, MINZY successfully fought against both Kim Jong-kook and Song Ji-hyo at once, and did the splits to everyone’s astonishment. Moreover, she succeeded in securing water in a game to fill up a water tank by tricking her way. This way, MINZY got her new nickname, “champion girl.”
BOM bent over backwards to protect younger musicians, especially from Lee Kwang-soo, and when she did, it was both hilarious and cute. When Lee complimented MINZY on her look, BOM said “No flirting with MINZY.” Later at the YG building, Lee tried to start a conversation with Akdong Musician, and BOM said “Please stop flirting with kids! They are like my younger sisters.” She was also sincere and frank when she asked Yoo Jae-suk’s advice, saying “I want to shed the image of 2NE1 that we are somewhat intimidating.”
Leader CL demonstrated her brilliance and earned high praises from Gary. CL astonished everyone by remembering about quizzes in no time, which she took while completing other missions. Not only that, she was the first to infer a place in the YG building to complete a mission and also to find out a password to the place of the last mission, using musical notes. As such, Gary said “I’ve got to like you. I need a smart girl like you.”
On the show, each member of 2NE1 showed their unique charms such as power, brainpower, unique look, and silver tongue, proving that they have what it takes to be outstanding entertainers.
The team of Yoo Jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, BOM, and MINZY won the race of the episode by securing 21 liters of water.

It’s an exciting time to be a 2NE1 fan!
On July 29, YG Entertainment released more information regarding 2NE1’s next track titled “Do You Love Me.” The song is the work of Teddy’s creativity and it has a similar strong and exciting tone as the group’s 2011 hit “I Am the Best.” It is a track that fits well with the summer mood.
2NE1 will trade in big budget sets, high fashion stage costumes, and crisp, high definition music videos for a more natural setting with normal day to day clothes and “home video” type of music video with old cameras and handphones.
“Do You Love Me” is planned to be released on August 7.

Korean girl group 2NE1 will be releasing a new single next month.
2NE1’s agency YG Entertainment announced through their official blog YG Life on Monday that the group will be releasing their new tune “DO YOU LOVE ME” on August 7.
The group recently released reggae tune “Falling in Love” earlier this month and announced the there will be more singles released every month until October when they finally roll out a new EP or second studio album.
According to the blog, “DO YOU LOVE ME” is produced by YG’s main producer TEDDY, and will be a song that fits the summertime, similar to “I AM THE BEST” released last summer.
Also, the group is done practicing the song and choreography but the schedule for the music video shoot has run into a problem.
In such a case, the song’s release itself would usually be pushed back by about two weeks but doing so would affect the schedule for the rest of 2NE1′s upcoming releases so they have decided to stick to the original date yet create a home video-type music video shot with old cameras and mobile phone cameras.
2NE1 wrapped up their promotional activities for “Falling in Love” on SBS’s music program “Inkigayo” yesterday.
