2NE1 once again proved themselves one of the strongest competitors back in the music world this summer when the new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ swept across 9 different music charts.

‘FALLING IN LOVE’, released on July 8 at 0 a.m., currently (8 a.m. July 8) ranks #1 on real time music charts including Melon, Mnet, Olleh, Soribada, Bugs, Daum, Naver, Cyworld and Monkey 3.

What’s more, 2NE1’s music video for the new song is arousing deep interest for the members’ alluring eyes and gestures. The four members show off their charm playing barefoot at the beach, while they also leave the watchers awe-struck with their glamour in an ancient-image background filled with golden décor.

The youngest member, Minzy, who celebrates her 20th birthday this year, surprised the fans with her womanly beauty in her hair that is dyed in a spectrum of pink.

Apart from the stunning four members, model and actor Hong Jong-hyun and Lee Soo-hyuk play another role in doubling the excitement of the music video with their fierce but attention grabbing looks.

2NE1 came back after one long year with the new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’, which has a hint of reggae and pop. The repetitive lyrics ‘Touch me over here/Touch me over there’ and ‘I keep falling in love/falling in love’ are simply addictive, like casting a love spell.

[enews24 손보경 기자] On July 11, 2NE1’s performance of the new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ will be unveiled for the first time on Mnet’s M Countdown.

On July 7, YG Entertainment announced, “The first comeback performance of ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ will be revealed on M Countdown.”

Initially, 2NE1 was scheduled to perform on Inkigayo in the evening of July 7 before releasing their song. But due to Asiana’s plane crash at San Francisco’s international airport, the television broadcasting system inevitably had to cancel the show.

Thus 2NE1’s music video and the actual song, ‘FALLING IN LOVE’, will become available to listen on July 8 at 0 a.m. This will quench the thirst of the long-awaited fans.

2NE1’s last song ‘I LOVE YOU’, a mix of electronic and trot, attracted much attention when it was revealed last July. And they are returning after one long year with ‘FALLING IN LOVE,’ a reggae song – a style that has not yet been tried by the group. 2NE1 has swept through all nine Korean music charts with their new reggae song, succeeding in their genre breaking once again.

2NE1 returned after a year with their new song “Falling in Love,” made public on July 8 at 12 a.m., once again finding mass appeal with reggae.

“Falling in Love” took first place in Korea’s top music site Melon the instant it was released, and swept all nine charts in the commuting hours of the morning. 2NE1 has managed to expand their musical genres to include reggae.

2NE1 had previously succeeded in breaking down genres with their digital single “I Love You” in July of last year. “I Love You” was the first trot music added to dance music that was attempted by 2NE1. The song had a long run in first place and established 2NE1 as one of the top girl groups in Korea.

Listeners are paying attention to 2NE1‘s musicality following the group’s successive hits in trot music and reggae. The girl group’s second successive genre-breaking is an expression of “confidence” and an unrivaled “distinction” from an overflow of girl groups.

2NE1, for their first attempt at the genre of reggae, are planning to perform without any other extra dancers on stage. Only the four will be dancing.

They are scheduled to unveil their first performance of the new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ on SBS’s Inkigayo on July 7. 2NE1’s plan is to do this without the help of extra dancers.

Their comeback song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ is the first in one long year, and is new genre for the group – reggae. Many are curious to see this challenge for an unfamiliar genre rarely made by girl groups. Expectations are building up even more intensely, as they are boldly making a comeback without any other dancers.

Personnel from YG Entertainment told OSEN on July 7, “2NE1’s members are spending sleepless nights for their first performance on Inkigayo. They are devoting themselves in making the choreography perfect. You should be excited because we invited an overseas choreographer for the first time.”

They added, ““The absence of dancers on stage forces 2NE1 to work and prepare even harder, because just the four of them will be on stage.”

On the 7th, the live coverage of SBS’s “Inkigayo” was abruptly cancelled. However, several of the participating artists are planning to put on performances for the fans who will be present in the audience.

Groups including 2NE1, A Pink, Dynamic Duo and My Name, who were due to put on their comeback stages on that day’s show, are planning to meet with fans at “Inkigayo” site starting 3pm of that day. In particular, 2NE1 will even be debuting their new song which hasn’t even been released in online music sites yet.

It was reported that the groups were putting on the performances to thank the fans for coming to the site to support them even when the live coverage was cancelled.

On that day around 1pm, SBS made the decision to pull the show in consequence of the Asiana passenger jet crash that occurred that dawn at San Francisco International Airport.

A SBS party told OSEN that a special coverage of the crash was schedule for the show’s time slot and that the broadcasting station felt that it would be inappropriate to put on a live music show in face of such a tragic accident having occurred earlier that day.

On 5th, 2NE1 revealed their comeback photo through Naver Music. In the background is what seems to be sun-filled Egypt. 2NE1 boasted their charismatic grandeur in light outfits.

In the previous teaser, 2NE1 demonstrated an image of bright girls enjoying the beach. More are looking forward to 2NE1‘s new single that would be more than just a summer song as this teaser describes a charismatic image of 2NE1 as well.
Known for the strongest sound source power among girl groups, 2NE1 have announced they will perform the singe on stage prior to the sound source release. On 7th, 2NE1 will be staging their comeback performance on SBS ‘Inkigayo‘, a day before the sound source release of their new single ‘Falling In Love‘.
