[엑스포츠뉴스=한인구 기자] 2NE1’s World Tour “ALL OR NOTHING” held in Shanghai China ended in great success.

The concert held on April 11 at Shanghai Grand Stage kicked off dynamically with their 2nd album “CRUSH.” Dressed in powerful gold uniforms, the quartet mesmerized the fans with their charisma.

While the divas fired up the fans with powerful performances of “CLAP YOUR HANDS” and “PRETTY BOY,” they also mellowed the concert hall with their sentimental songs “MISSING YOU,” “IF I WERE YOU,” and the unplugged version of “COME BACK HOME.” Fans were deeply impressed by their songs and performances.

This is the first time 2NE1 was in China for their exclusive concert. Chinese fans enthusiastically welcomed the divas and sang along all 18 songs including the 2nd album tracks “COME BACK HOME,” “GOTTA BE YOU,” and “SCREAM,” as well as with songs like “I AM THE BEST” and “I DON’T CARE” from other albums.

Deeply moved by the enthusiasm from the local fans, 2NE1 devoted their energy into the very last curtain call performance, ending the 2-hour long concert in huge success.

At this concert, YG’s first boy group in 8 years WINNER performed “GO UP” and “JUST ANOTHER BOY” as guests, leaving quite an impression on the Chinese fans.

2NE1 is to move on to Osaka Japan immediately after the China concert, staying in Japan from April 12 to 13 for “2014 YG FAMILY CONCERT” at Kyocera Dome.

[스포츠동아 = 정준화] YG Entertainment made the decision to include WIN’s TEAM B (B.I, KIM JIN HWAN, BOBBY, KOO JUN HOE, KIM DONG HYUK & SONG YUN HYEONG) in YG FAMILY’s Japan tour.

The agency announced on April 11 that TEAM B will be joining YG FAMILY’s Japan concerts that are to be held on April 12 and 13at Osaka Kyocera Dome.

TEAM B has been polishing their musical talents as trainees since losing by a few points to A TEAM on YG’s survival program “WIN: WHO IS NEXT.”

The decision is deemed quite rare in the history of South Korean pop music, as TEAM B will be performing at YG FAMILY’s Japan Dome Tour that will attract 40,000 fans per concert—all of this taking place even before making an official debut.

The reason for YG’s urgently made decision is that the survival program “WIN” drew high popularity from Japanese fans who take up a big portion of YG fans.

WINNER, who won the show, performed in front of 700,000 fans when they appeared as guests for BIGBANG’s Japan Dome Tour. The upcoming event will be the first official one for TEAM B.

YG commented, “Since TEAM B does not have a debut song yet, he will collaborate with other artists and of course, will work together with their former competitor WINNER—but as close friends this time.”

YG FAMILY concert to be held for the first time in 3 years will be joined by 700,000 fans. Along with BIGBANG, EPIK HIGH and LEE HI, 2NE1 will be joining in the midst of their World Tour.

As additional groups WINNER, whose debut is coming up, and TEAM B are included this time, the scale of the concert will be quite different to that of the concert 2 years ago.

The areas where YG FAMILY concert will be held are to be announced soon as well.

[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] YG’s 2NE1 (members CL, DARA, BOM & MINZY) topped Gaon’s overall March digital music chart.

The officially recognized Gaon Chart shows that among 2NE1’s 2nd full album released at the end of February titled “CRUSH,” their title song “COME BACK HOME” recorded a total of 55.74 million downloads and streaming for the month of March, ranking at the very top of the chart.

“COME BACK HOME” is a cross between R&B, reggae and even hip-hop, which is co-produced by YG’s main producers TEDDY and other producers. The song knocked down all charts immediately after its release, while topping many foreign iTunes. This was a song that proved 2NE1’s power home and abroad.

Apart from the song, 2NE1 also listed 2 other songs from the latest album in the overall Gaon Digital Chart’s top 10 in March. The other title song, “GOTTA BE YOU” ranked #5, while “IF I WERE YOU” ranked #10.

SOYU and JUNGGIGO’s “SOME” topped the February overall Gaon Digital Chart, and it maintained its popularity by coming in at #2 in March.

GIRLS’ GENERATION’s “Mr. Mr.” was ranked #3, CNBLUE’s “CAN’T STOP” #4, LYN’s “MISSING YOU… CRYING” #6, ORANGE CARAMEL’s “CATALLENA” #7, SUNMI’s FULL MOON #8 and LIM CHANG JUNG’s “ORDINARY SONG” #9.

2NE1’s Sandara Park guested on April 9’s broadcast of KBS Cool FM’sGayo Plaza with Park Bom and revealed that she worries about her body shape.

Sandara Park said, “I want a body with volume so I get stressed about my thin body.”

When DJ Lee Sora advised, “Eat lots of milk and cheese,” the 2NE1 member asked, “At my age?” and when Lee Sora said, “It might still work,” Sandara promised she will try.

Park Bom also mentioned during the show, “I always tell Sandara Park to doll herself up more but she doesn’t like that,” and Sandara Park said, “I like to dress casually and comfortably. But people seem to like it when I dress girly on random occasions, like today.”

2NE1 Takes First on Album and Artist Chart for 6 Weeks

2NE1 has ranked number one on MelOn’s ‘Album Top 20’ and ‘Artist Top 20’ charts for six weeks straight. 

2NE1’s second full-length album, which was released on February 26, first ranked number one on ‘Album Top 20’ chart for the week of March 2 and continued to keep its spot for six weeks, until the week of April 6. It also took the top spot on ‘Artist Top 20’ chart during the same time period.

2NE1’s second full length album also ranked number 61 on Billboard’s album chart ‘Billboard 200,’ setting the highest record for a Korean album on the chart. 

After successfully promoting Come Back Home, 2NE1 is carrying out promotions with Gotta Be You.

On April 7, 2NE1, 2PM′s Junho, JUN. K, Nichkhun, Chansung, and Wooyoung, Yoon Jong Shin, Jo Jung Chi and Muzie were spotted filming Running Man in Sangam-dong.

The stars were split up into teams according to their respective agencies, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and Mystic89, as they joined the original cast in completing missions.

The cast and guests were seen walking dogs and running around in scuba diving flippers, attracting large crowds of people to the filming site.

It is uncertain when the episode will air.

A post titled “2NE1 ate Mnet’s March monthly charts” was seen on an online community website with a screen capture of Mnet’s homepage.

According to the March Mnet monthly charts, 2NE1‘s title song “Come Back Home” was ranked #1. Other title song “GOTTA BE YOU” placed 4th while CL‘s “If I Were You” landed on 8th place.

Other album tracks entered charts: “Crush” (#14), “MTBD” (#20), “Good to You” (#23), “Scream” (#24), “Happy” (#33), “Baby I Miss You” (#39). The entire tracks of 2NE1‘s second album was placed on the TOP 100 of Mnet’s monthly charts, with 3 songs in the TOP 10.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 stages “GOTTA BE YOU” on this week’s “Inkigayo” and continues with their album promotions.

2NE1 is to continue their TV appearance with songs in their second full-length album, by disclosing the performance of “GOTTA BE YOU” on SBS “INKIGAYO” on the 6 this month.

Plus, they will disclose the music video of “GOTTA BE YOU” next week. 2NE1 caught eyes when they disclosed the music video of “COME BACK HOME”, for its mystical concept of virtual reality. Now, music fans are expressing high expectations for what kind of new appeal 2NE1 will show in the music video of “GOTTA BE YOU”.

“GOTTA BE YOU” is a cross-over music in which a unique synth sound in the introduction, rhythmical rapping, and a strong and exciting beat in the latter part are mixed together. The main part’s melody where MINZY and BOM powerfully cry “gotta be you” leaves a very strong impression.

2NE1 disclosed the stage and choreography video of “GOTTA BE YOU” in March and created sensation at that time. April 6’s broadcast of KBS2’s Superman is Back will continue to show the families in Jeju island for the twins’ first birthday.

With Kang Hye Jung joining Tablo and Haru in Jeju island on the second day, the family spent the day together. Being the family of artists, they continued to engage in conversations about music in a moving car. Then Tablo handed his cellphone to Haru with 2NE1’s new music on.

Holding the phone by her ear, Haru started listening to the music with full concentration without moving, reminding her parents of YG’s Yang Hyun Suk.

Upon seeing Haru listening without any slight movement, Tablo and Kang Hye Jung said, “Haru, you’re just like CEO Yang Hyun Suk. Tell Teddy to come over~”

2NE1 will continue to promote its second full length album with Gotta Be You.

According to YG Entertainment on April 4, 2NE1 will begin promotions with Gotta Be You starting with SBS’s Inkigayo on April 6.

The music video for Gotta Be You will also be released next week, gathering the fans’ attention.

Gotta Be You is a cross-over song with a mix of rhythmical rapping, synthesizer sound and fast and powerful beat towards the later half.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 will continue to promote in Korea with Gotta Be You and meet with the fans in China by holding a world tour concert All Or Nothing in Shanghai on April 11.
