It’s 2NE1, with their new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE.’ The group is known for their different characteristics every time they make a comeback, and this time there are 3 distinct and sensational features that will yet again differentiate the group from any other artists.
# After Trot, it’s time for Reggae!
The new song ‘FALLING IN LOVE’ by 2NE1 is new genre for the group – it’s reggae. 2NE1 had already tried a new genre last year with ‘I LOVE YOU’, which was trot-like (the oldest form of Korean pop music) style. So this year, reggae is another attempt for the group.
According to personnel from YG Entertainment, “’FALLING IN LOVE’ is reggae, a perfect genre for summer embracing various colors and strengths of each 2NE1 member – certainly a heart winner of enthusiastic fans and the public!”
In fact, a K-pop girl group trying this genre of reggae itself is unprecedented. Because the group is already known for their unique and exclusive music style, all eyes are on them to see what kind of pleasant surprises they have ready for the fans.
# A completely different choreography with the guide from overseas choreographers
Like they have always done, 2NE1 has yet again put much effort in the choreography of ‘FALLING IN LOVE’.
To produce something ‘newer than before,’ they have invited some talented choreographers from overseas and invested much time in coming up with a perfect choreography. It is said that the members did not sleep for several nights for the first comeback performance on July 7’s Inkigayo on SBS.
In their pursuit of something new, they have invested much time and invited top-end choreographers from abroad to work on their stage. Their first comeback stage will be on the 7th at SBS’s “Inkigayo.” With their comeback stage only days ago, it is rumored that the members are practicing their choreography day and night.
2NE1 also announced that they would prepare to take to most of the stage without back-up dancers. According to their agency, 2NE1 has been practicing extra hard because the four of them will be onstage by themselves without dancers at least until the second half of the song.

On the 4th, 2NE1 revealed tiehr teaser image. The image shows the members against the backdrop of a beach wearing cool outfits that hint to a refreshing and eye-catching stage.
In the teaser image disclosed on the 5th, the members were seen transformed into Egyptian goddesses, leading to much speculation about what their concept will be onstage. In the image, the members are standing against the backdrop of a scorching hot beach that looks like Egypt. They are wearing cool outfits and posing with charismatic command and they seem to be declaring that they are different from the other girl groups also making their comeback this summer.
Until now, 2NE1 has made headlines not only with their music but also their unique fashion styles that have started whole new fashion trends. This is why so much speculation is being made about what new fashion style 2NE1 will be putting onstage and in the music video. After seeing Dara transformed into a blonde in the teaser image, fans are left wondering what changes the other 2NE1 members have taken as well.
