Juan Pablo and six lucky ladies will learn choreography from the will.i.am collaborators.
K-pop girl group 2NE1 will get some bigtime U.S. TV exposure with an appearance on “The Bachelor.”
The will.i.am collaborators will be the focus of a group date where current Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis, and six girls will learn choreography from Bom, Minzy, CL and Dara in Seoul, South Korea.
Spoiler alert: “Bachelor” fans may have already spotted the K-pop group in a teaser video for the episode. Based on the dance moves shown in the clip, 2NE1 followers have deduced that the act will teach the choreography to one of their signature hits, “I Am the Best,” which was covered on “So You Think You Can Dance?” last August.
With more than 83 million views, the “I Am the Best” music video is one of the most watched K-pop vids on YouTube.
“The Bachelor” episode featuring 2NE1 is scheduled to air Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

[스타뉴스 이지현 기자] YG Entertainment (“YG”)’s new boy group WINNER (NAM TAEHYUN, KANG SEUNGYOON, SONG MINHO, KIM JINWOO, and LEE SEUNGHOON) challenges their senior YG group 2NE1 (BOM, DARA, CL, and MINZY).
WINNER discloses WINNER’s version of “MISSING YOU”, 2NE1’s ballad song, in cable channel Mnet’s reality show “WINNER TV” that will be broadcasted in the evening on the 24.
WINNER’s “MISSING YOU” starts with SONG MINHO’s rap and is an acoustic song in which the tones of KANG SEUNGYOON, NAM TAEHYUN, and KIM JINWOO create a harmony.
Plus, WINNER’s “1st WINNER WINTER SPORTS COMPETITION” held on a snow field will be also disclosed in the episode, too.
WINNER members compete with one another to gain the gold medal in the sports competition of three events including a race on a snowy field, hit-or-miss snow sledge race, and snow wrestling.
Meanwhile, WINNER is to make their official debut by the end of February this year.

WINNER reinterprets the song ‘Missing You’ with their own individuality, the song in which the sad sentiments of 2NE1 were noticeable. It is heard that WINNER’s ‘Missing You’, which begins with Song Min Ho’s rap, is born again as the song that has acoustic and unique feeling with the guitar and vocal from the leader Kang Seungyoon and when Nam Tae Hyun and Kim Jin Woo’s tone that has strong individuality is combined together.

YG Entertainment’s new boy group Winner will be challenging its senior group, 2NE1.
January 24’s broadcast of Mnet’s Winner TV will feature the Winner members covering 2NE1’s Missing You.
Missing You is a winter ballad song of 2NE1 that ranked number one on the real-time, daily, and weekly charts of nine major music sites in Korea soon after its release last November.
Winner will be re-introducing the hit song with its unique harmony of vocals, starting off with Song Min Ho’s rapping.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of Winner TV will also feature the members holding a sports competition, as they compete against each other in running, sled racing and wrestling in the snow.

2013 was a year of evolution for YG Entertainment‘s 2NE1. The year opened with speculations surrounding upcoming releases for the group, with rumors ranging from a full English language album to collaborations with label mates Big Bang. 2NE1’s CL,Minzy, Dara, and Bom celebrated numerous milestones throughout the year, however the group did not release a full album or extended play. With the release of three major singles, 2NE1 remained in the spotlight not only in Korea but internationally.
2NE1 started off the year quietly, with interviews which sparked many of the rumors of their upcoming releases. On March 14, 2NE1 released the previously recorded single Take The World On, a collaboration featuring will.i.am. The group would later be featured on will.i.am’s April release, #willpower with Gettin’ Dumb. On March 31, 2NE1 helped kick off the opening weekend performance for G-Dragon‘s 1st World Tour at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
On May 4th, 2NE1 further established their image as international trend setters by participating in the United All Originals Live performance with Snoop Dogg. The concert was sponsored by Adidas and reflected the ability of 2NE1 to serve as style icons, as well as performers. The performance was Snoop’s first official concert in Korea during his twenty year career and the group delivered an electrifying performance with the American hip hop pioneer.
On May 28th, 2NE1’s leader CL released her solo single The Baddest Female. Produced by YG Entertainment’s Teddy Park, The Baddest Female featured elements of hip hop, dubstep, and electronic dance music. The video was innovative and featured appearances by Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, as well as Teddy Park. With The Baddest Female, CL was able to establish her personality as a solo artist.
On June 29th, 2NE1 joined G-Dragon for two performances in Singapore. On July 8th, the group released the reggae influenced Falling In Love which was an uptempo single that was perfect for the summertime. Falling In Love was followed by the release of Do You Love Me which surprised audiences as 2NE1 had just completed promotions for Falling In Love.
2NE1 were named Korean Brand and Entertainment ambassadors for 2013 in October. As a result of this appointment, the group was present in London during the Expo. In conjunction with the November event, there was the YG Hologram Show which featured 2NE1 and PSY. On November 20th, 2NE1 would fully release the highly anticipated single Missing You. Missing You featured a melancholy feel and also a tastefully executed nude scene by CL.
2NE1 performed Missing You as part of their 2013 MAMA stage and CL was with Icona Pop. CL received the Best Dance Performance-Female Solo award at 2013 MAMA for The Baddest Female. 2013 began to come to a close with the release of Park Bom & Lee Hi (BH)’s All I Want For Christmas Is You. The melancholy cover of the Mariah Carey classic was the first release of the new YG Entertainment unit. On December 29, CL will appear with Lee Hyori at SBS Gayo Daejun.
2013 has been an exciting year for 2NE1 and has definitely been a year of growth. In December, it was announced that 2NE1’s long time manager, Jjangmae would be going over to work with YG’s newest group WINNER. This move can undoubtedly be seen as the fact that 2NE1 is set to reach new height and are now seasoned performers in K-Pop. The group has promised another world tour in 2014 and new music, which will be highly anticipated.

[enews24 전수미 기자] 2NE1 appears in American TV channel ABC’s hit reality show “The Bachelor”, proving the team’s status as a global pop star.
“The Bachelor” is ABC channel’s hit reality show which depicts a man’s romantic journey of finding out his soul mate and genuine love among a number of women. The show began in 2002 and has been enjoying a great popularity by displaying men and women’s behaviors and psychology about relationship and marriage. Recently, season 18 of the show is broadcasted.
2NE1 will appear in a date episode of “The Bachelor”’s season 18 that will be aired on the 27 this month at 8pm (local time). The episode will show a group date of former Venezuelan professional soccer player Jan Pablo Galavis, the bachelor, and beautiful women who are competing to be his mate. In the group date, they learn the dance of 2NE1’s hit song “I’M THE BEST”.
The cast and crew of “The Bachelor” came to Korea to shoot the group date of dance lesson. They visited the dance training room of YG Entertainment office to meet 2NE1 members.
2NE1 taught them the dance moves and point choreography of “I’M THE BEST” and “The Bachelor”’s cast members followed 2NE1 to learn the dance in a friendly atmosphere, according to YG insiders. 2NE1 members showed the choreography in front of “The Bachelor”’s cast members and corrected their moves, transferring their dancing know-how.
Plus, 2NE1 performed “I’M THE BEST” with “The Bachelor” members at 2NE1 mini concert held at Time Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Their performance was acclaimed by the audience who crowded the place.
It has been five years since 2NE1 made their debut and 2NE1 has grown into a leading girl group in Korea in both name and substance, by transforming themselves constantly through different musical attempts and creating a number of hit songs. 2NE1 has represented a strong and confident woman with their unique songs such as “I DON’T CARE”, “GO AWAY”, and “I’M THE BEST”.
Such moves of 2NE1 have drawn attention from world-class artists like “Will.I.Am” and “Diplo”. 2NE1 has also exerted their influence as a fashion icon and model for major brands’ campaigns including Adidas’s original ad in which they appeared with Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and designer Jeremy Scott who was the designer of the entire collection of “New Evolution” concert in 2012.
