On a cable channel Mnet’s M Countdown aired on March 27th, 2NE1 topped the rank.

DARA commented, “I thank YANG HYUN SUK, TEDDY and 2NE1 members,” expressing her gratitude for YG Entertainment family and the fans. In the curtain-call performance, DARA aroused much attention with the special performance of gesturing a love heart with her brother CHEON DUNG from MBLAQ.

On the same day, other artists like 4minute, Toheart, MBLAQ, Orange Caramel, BTOB, Super Junior-M, So Real, 100%, Baechigi, JJCC, CNBLUE, Lim Chang Jung and Tae.1 also delivered dynamic performances.

They proved that they are the “Queens of KPOP” with their powerful stage presence, boundless energy and dynamic world-class performance!

2NE1, consist of 4 members namely CL, Park Bom, Dara and Minzy, held a press conference in the afternoon to meet with the media. They illustrated the theme and concept of the “2014 2NE1 WORLD TOUR [ALL OR NOTHING]. 2NE1 has once again joined hands with Travis Payne and Stacey Walker, who have worked with Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga, together with an internationally renowned production team, to present a world-class concert tour to audiences in different countries. 2NE1 and the creative team would like to create a concert which could showcase different facets of the members’ personalities – elegant yet mysterious, feminine yet strong, wild yet sweet. The much-anticipated concert started at 8PM. 2NE1 first started off showing their powerful performance with their new song “Crush” and got all audiences on their feet with the rhythmic beat. They kept the beat going and brought the house down with their debut song “Fire”. 2NE1 then took turns to greet the audience and let everyone to catch a breather after the 2 powerful songs.

After that, 2NE1 conquered the stage again with “Clap Your Hands” and had the whole stadium clapping along.Minzy, the youngest member of the team, further heated up the crowd with a short solo dance performance. She even took off her jacket and showed her slim and toned figure! They then performed “Pretty Boy” and garnered every bit of attention with their sexy images and proved that they are the “dancing queens”! 2NE1 concluded the first part of the concert with “Don’t Stop The Music”. The audiences were so amazed by 2NE1’s boundless energy!

2NE1 then slow down the tempo a bit and turned into four elegant queens. They made an angelic entrance to the stage on flying swings from the two sides. They were all dressed in elegant white dresses and showcased their sentimental voices with the emotional song “Missing You” and also “If I Were You”, a song in their latest album which was written by CL. 2NE1 continued to demonstrate their heavenly voices by rearranging “Come Back Home” into acoustic version and Dara impressed everyone with her stunning guitar skills.

▶ One American male cries out. He consecutively shouts “Oh~no”. Another man gathers his hands and prays. He also made a facial expression of going blank. The one who made him jealous is Dara. The love scene in the music video of ‘COME BACK HOME’ triggered the overseas male fan.

The music videos of GIRLS’ GENERATION’s ‘Mr.Mr.’ and ‘2NE1’s ‘COME BACK HOME’ are popular. ‘Mr.Mr.’ exceeded 12.86 million views on YouTube. ‘COME BACK HOME’ is recording 6.21 million views. It is two weeks after they were released but they are still tempting people to click on the video and are attracting popularity.

What kind of charms of ‘Mr.Mr.’ and ‘COME BACK HOME’ would overseas fans have fallen for? We have analyzed the ‘Reaction’ videos that are on YouTube. The reaction video is a video that recorded the reaction towards the music video. In the case of ‘Mr.’, there are about 70,000 and ‘COME BACK HOME’ has 310,000 reaction videos.

    The powerful female group of 2NE1 who are battling hard with the nine ladies of Girls’ Generation, took some time off to attend on the March 19, 2014 episode of Mnet’s “Wide Entertainment News.” The episode featured some questions that the girls were not really prepared to answer. Though the ladies came out with great answers in the end.

    The Questions

    The question in-which the MC asked them was regarding the concept of sexy since numerous females thus far has taken this route when they made their return. From Girl’s Day, AOA, Dal Shabet, and Rainbow Blaxx, to now Sunmi. The question asked was, “These days, a lot of girl groups are doing the sexy concept, but 2NE1’s not doing it because they can’t?”

    The answer for the girls was stated by Park Bom as she said, “What are you talking about? We’re so sexy.” After Park was done, Dara followed up by saying, “We’re doing it right now.” So this proves that the females of 2NE1 can be sexy as well “subtle and unique.”

    The last question that was asked was “what kind of love they wanted to try” which Park once again answered by saying, “I don’t want to get married right now.”

    [OSEN=황미현 기자] 2NE1 topped M! Countdown following Inkigayo, and they thanked YG CEO YANG HYUN-SUK and TEDDY.

     At M.net M! Countdown at 6 p.m. on Mar. 20, 2NE1’s “COME BACK HOME” was placed first.

     MINZY, with a trophy in her hand said, “I thank CEO YANG for making a fabulous song and I also thank TEDDY.” She added, “I feel grateful to our fans, the BLACKJACK!”

     BOM kept her promise by doing tumbling, and showed off her flexible movement.

     On Mar. 16 at SBS Inkigayo, 2NE1 competed against Girls’ Generation and won, winning the first prize. BOM at the time thanked her company and fans in tears, which made the headlines.

     At M! Countdown, Girls’ Generation ranked third, following 2NE1 and Orange Caramel.

     Various artists appeared on the show today, and those include Lunafly, JJCC, Billion, Boys Republic, BESTie, BTS, TROY, Park Soo-jin, CNBLUE, ORANGE CARAMEL, 2NE1, Toheart, Im Chang-jeong and 4Minute.

    [OSEN=선미경 기자] The title song of 2NE1’s regular second album, “COME BACK HOME” ranked first for 2 consecutive weeks on the Digital Chart of GAON CHART.

    According to the GAON CHART, in the fourth week of Mar. (from Mar. 9 ~ Mar. 15), “COME BACK HOME” ranked first again, following last week. Soyou and Junggigo’s “Some” is also recording second on the Digital Chart for 2 consecutive weeks, now.

    LYn’s “Miss You…Cry,” which ranked third on the Digital Chart, was ranked first on the GAON Download Chart with 129,980 downloads.

    On the Digital Chart, Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Mr.”, CNBLUE’s “Can’t Stop” and ORANGE CARAMEL’s “Catallena” were ranked 4, 5 and 6, respectively.

    In addition, Busker Busker’s “Cherry Blossom Ending,” which is the title song for its first album released on Mar. 2012, ranked 18.

    On February 14, bntnews had an exclusive interview with 2NE1 who finally came back to Korean fans with second LP album ‘Crush.’

    Dara revealed during the interview, “I always enjoy trying new things. I’ve challenged myself with new, unique hairstyles. This time, I tried building abs. ”

    “Whatever I did, people just thought it was cute. I wanted to show them a wild, powerful side of me, but they said I looked lack of energy. I wanted to show them a healthy, energetic version of me this time, so I’ve built abs for the last two months,” she continued.

    CL added, “Dara was a ramen maniac, but she quit eating it for the abs.” Dara continued, “I’ve got much healthier since I started working out. I don’t feel tired after a two-hour-long concert. Now, I can even run on a running machine for 50 minutes without a break.”

    Meanwhile, 2NE1’s second LP album ‘Crush’, which consists of ten songs including title track ‘Come Back Home’and ‘Gotta Be You’, came out in two different editions: pink and black. Each version contains the group’s different charm and style. (photo by YG Entertainment)

    On February 14, bntnews interviewed girl group 2NE1 at Conrad Hotel in Seoul to commemorate the group’s new album release.

    During the interview, CL said, “We admire how Girls’ Generation is loved by the public for this long period. The girls must have more experiences since they held on to this group for such long time. We always thought that it is truly amazing how each member is active in one’s own area.”

    Then, Sandara continued, “I watched the comeback performance of Girls’ Generation a few days ago. Well, it’s difficult to compare us to them in details since each of us have different colors. Yet, Girls’ Generation is showing something we can’t.”

    Prior to this, Girls’ Generation and 2NE1 each released new albums ‘Mr. Mr’ and ‘Crush.’ Thus, the two groups inescapably returned to screen in the same time. As many know, the two were considered rivalries ever since many years ago, and they were always compared on music charts.

    When the members were asked about romance, CL replied with laughs, “We certainly are lagging behind on love. No one is dating right now unlike Girls’ Generation.”

    “We don’t have so many chances to meet men and we don’t have men in our lives right now,” mentioned Park Bom. “Well, we have some guys at the agency, but they just seem like close friends, which is very bad. And Dara doesn’t really leave her home so that explains,” said CL.

    “Now the agency people are worrying about our love life as well,” added Sandara regarding their long-term boyfriend-free period.

    Meanwhile, 2NE1’s 2nd complete album ‘CRUSH,’ comprised of ten tracks including two title songs ‘Come Back Home’ and ‘Gotta Be You,’ was released in two versions: pink and black editions. Each version is composed of different photos that exude charms of the members. (YG Entertainment)
