2NE1 Sandara Park, Fundraising for Philippines, her Second Home
Hello my name is Sandara Park from 2NE1.
As many of you already know, my brother Thunder and I spent many years in the Philippines. The Philippines, a country we consider our second home, are in much need of your help. In response to the current desperate situation, Thunder and I, together with WEGENERATION and the charity organization World Share decided to launch an emergency aid campaign for the Philippines. Haiyan, a super typhoon that hit the eastern region of the Philippines on November 7th left tremendous damages and a shocking number of casualties. It is reported that the typhoon left over 10,000 people dead, with the south-central region having fallen into a great chaos.
To make the situation worse, as the monsoon season approaches, there is a great fear of an outbreak of diseases caused by humidity, wrecked houses, and uncovered corpses.
Please help out the people of the Philippines by supporting this campaign! By draw, WEGENERATION will be giving out some of the treasured items of Sandara and Thunder to the people who donate.
We cannot do it “alone”, but we can do it “together”!

News: MV of 2NE1’s New Single Reaches 2 Million Views on YouTube Within a Day
MV OF 2NE1 NEW SINGLE REACHES 2M VIEWS ON YOUTUBE WITHIN A DAY
[스타뉴스 윤성열 기자] The music video of girl band 2NE1 (DARA, BOM, MINZY, and CL)’s new single “MISSING YOU” has surpassed 2 million views on YouTube.
As of 8:30am on the 22, the music video of 2NE1’s new single “MISSING YOU” registered on the official YouTube channel is recording 2,341,176 views. The number of “Like”s for the video and number of replies have surpassed 105,885 and 25,061 respectively.
The records have been set within only a day from the release of the music video at midnight on the 21. 2NE1 is catching eyes in the music video, by acting with full emotions and performing a nude scene. Notably, 2NE1’s leader CL is giving off a mystical atmosphere which goes against her past charismatic style, presenting bold performance in a scene where she is sitting crouched undressed, as well as in another scene where she is sitting in a bathtub.
These scenes are harmonized with the song itself exquisitely, so the video is recognized to have expressed mixture of woman’s external beauty and internal sorrow well.
“MISSING YOU” is creating sensation, sweeping No.1 places in a variety of real-time music charts, after the release. The song was written by YG ENTERTAINMENT’s main producer TEDDY and low-key bass and piano create the center of the sound.
On the 22, 2NE1 attends 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards which will be held at 8pm (KST) at Asia World Expo Arena in Hong Kong. At the awards, 2NE1 discloses the stage performance of new song “MISSING YOU” for the first time.

As firmly rooted New Yorkers — WOO NEW YORK CIT-AY! *gets shoved to the ground by a creep in an Elmo costume* — we appreciate it when pop music reflects the change in seasons. That’s just one of the many reasons why we’re really feeling 2NE1‘s “Missing You” video. A far cry from their super summer-friendly “Falling In Love,” this new clip ushers in winter with the stoically chilling pomp it deserves.

Taking a page out of the Katy Perry “Unconditionally” playbook, the K-Pop girl group’s vid eschews a narrative in favor of stunning tableaus and sweeping visuals: Minzy sits motionless in an #AllBlackEverything interior, Dara decisively flicks the knight piece off a chessboard, Bom stares off wistfully in a Louis XVI-worthy salon caught in an indoor snowfall, CL feels all kinds of Natalie Imbruglia-esque feelings on a majestic marble floor, etc.
In fact, CL may have the most powerful visual of all, as we later see the “Do You Love Me?” singer huddling naked in a steamy bathtub, serving her best Rihanna in “Stay” she can muster.
Speaking of allusions to other artists, did anyone else get major Kanye West vibes from the silent male dancer? That bejeweled face mask is, like, total Yeezus Tour territory. Maybe the “Bound 2” rapper borrowed it from the ladies of 2NE1 and “forgot” to give it back, and the longing for that facial accessory is what REALLY inspired “Missing You”?
