The members consist of CL,Minzy, Bom and Dara

Dara is the most famous member in the Philippines, The Sandara Park.

Dara was born in Busan, South Korea. When she was 10 yrs old her Family moved to the Philippines to venture when their Family business weakened.

In 2004, at the age of 20 Dara joined Star Ciricle Quest.

Although Dara didn’t win the Grand prize, the cute Korean won the Hearts of many Filipinos.

Jessy: We are so lucky today as one of the member of the famous  group in Korea  2NE1 joined us. The national KrungKrung of the Philippines, Miss Sandara Park.

Dara: Mabuhay

Jessy: Wow, its been a long time since you’ve been to PH, did you know that until now you have so many fans?

Dara: Ah, Really?

Jessy: and they missed you so much

Dara: I missed them too.

Jessy: How are you?

Dara: Im Ok, a bit lonely, But..

Jessy: Lonely? Why?

Dara: I missed my friends in Philippines

Jessy: Visit us

Dara: I really want to.

Jessy: I know all will be happy to see you.

Dara: I’m gonna escape.

Jessy: Come with us..he..he..he

KimA:  Because of her unique Charisma, Dara have countless TV shows and movies. And she even have a 3 Music albums.

One of those songs is IN or OUT that up until now is her fans favorite. Because of the songs popularity, Dara’s album achieved  a double platinum award.

Jessy: Kpop artist are really unique, their style, make-up,hair..its really beautiful. That is why Filipino idolize you. How where you discovered to be a Kpop artist? Is it difficult to be a Kpop artist?

Dara: It is really difficult, because in Korea we need to be a trainees before we become a Kpop artists. We did a lot of things, like singing, acting, hosting shows and dancing at the same time.

KimA: 2004 when Dara visited Korea again. Korea broadcasting system (KBS) even made a TV documentary for her and was invited to many TV special. In 2007 Dara went back to Korea when her popularity in PH declined.

KimA: Year 2009 when all girl Kpop group 2NE1 debuted in Korea and Dara was one of its member.

Jessy: How did your life change when you became a member of 2NE1?

Dara: When I think about it, Nothing has change.

Jessy: Nothing?

Dara: Maybe just my Name, from Sandara to Dara of 2NE1. That’s it, I’m still the same.  Did something changed on me?

Jessy: Nothing, Ah your hair color.

Dara: That’s it.

Jessy: but you are still the KrungKrung of Ph

Dara: Of course

Jessy: You are still the sweet Sandara that filipino knows.

Jessy: Now in Korea, you are really famous. Many people in the PH really admire you and they sing 2NE1 songs. How do you feel being famous both in Korea and Philippines?

Dara: Of course I’m so happy. Im happy that many supports “us”. That is why I really want to go to Philippines, to shows.

Jessy: Is it possible for 2NE1 to come to Philippines?

Dara: I really want, please invite us.

Jessy: What do you missed in Philippines?

Dara: What I missed most are definitely the people, my friends, my fans, I really missed them a lot.

Jessy: Do you miss acting?

Dara: Of course, I was also an actress before.

Jessy: Who is your Filipino Celebrity crush?  There we go, Dara is  giddy already.

Dara: Ah, should I say it?

Jessy: Its ok. You don’t want to say it? Jush whisper it to me.

Dara: I’m watching his movie until now. I’ts Papa John Lloyd.

John Lloyd: First of all, I’m not surprised anymore. Because Sandara and I go from a way way back. We’ve been introduced a long time ago, and we both know each others feeling since before. And that’s how it is

John Lloyd message to Dara: Sandara, first and foremost, Congratulations. You have gone so far and I’m one of those who cheer for your success. Hopefully, we get to meet again. I remember last time you drink tequila with a straw.

Dara’s message to her fans: First and foremost, thank you so much for the support you give us. It means so much to us. And I really miss you all so you should invite us. And if we go, you should visit us, OK? Promise?

Jessy Mendiola attests Sandara Park’s popularity in South Korea

Jessy Mendiola, Maria Mercedes (Philippine’s telenovela remake) star, shared a story about meeting and talking to Sandara Park when she revisited South Korea.

Jessy flew to South  Korea last Oct.29, 2013 and stayed there for  5 days for her Korean Premium Tour, where in she been able to visit Korea’s famous landmarks.

She  got a chance to met Sandara while she was there.

“It was my first time to met her, Krung Krung as in Krung  Krung…” Jessy said about Dara during her press launch as Honorary Korea  Tourism Ambassador last Nov. 27, 2013 at The Manila Peninsula Hotel, Makati City.

When Sandara was still in the local showbiz, “Pambansang Krung Krung” was her moniker, wherein it pertains to her Funny and Unique personality.

Sandara joined ABS-CBN artist search Star Circle Quest Season 1 last 2004 and became a runner-up to the winner Hero Angeles who later on became Dara’s on-screen partner. When Dara career in PH went down, she and her family decided to return to South Korea.

Most of the Filipinos were surprised after a few years, when Sandara became a member of the All-female singing group called 2NE1 (now a very popular group in Korea).

Sandara’s billboard can be seen in various places around Seoul.

“Sandara is very popular in Korea, you can see her faces every where”  said Jessy.

Jessy laughed when Sandara could not believe when she told her that “Sandara is very popular in the Philippines and Filipinos still love her very much”.

When they  met Dara was a little bit tired, because she just came from an event, but still Dara was game to talked with Jessy.

“We talked about how she is and if she misses the Philippines.”

“Dara said she wants to visit the Philippines but not sure if she will be permitted”

Ikinuwento ni Jessy Mendiola ang pagkikita at pag-uusap nila ni Sandara Park nang muling bumisita ang Maria Mercedes star sa South Korea.

Noong October 29 lumipad si Jessy sa South Korea.

Namalagi siya roon ng limang araw para sa kanyang Korean premium tour, kung saan pinuntahan niya ang mga kilalang landmarks doon.

Nagkaroon din si Jessy ng pagkakataon na makita si Sandara habang naroon siya.

“First time ko siyang na-meet, krungkrung na krungkrung…” panimulang kuwento ni Jessy tungkol kay Sandara.

Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Jessy sa press launch niya bilang honorary Korea Tourism ambassador noong November 27, Miyerkules, sa The Manila Peninsula Hotel, Makati City.

Noong nasa local showbiz pa si Sandara, “Pambansang Krungkrung” ang bansag sa kanya.

Ito ay bilang pagtukoy sa nakatatawa at kakaibang personalidad ng Korean actress.

Sumali si Sandara sa artista search ng ABS-CBN na Star Circle QuestSeason 1 noong 2004.

Naging runner-up siya ng nanalong si Hero Angeles, na kalaunan ay naging ka-loveteam niya.

Ngunit nang lumamlam ang career niya sa Pilipinas, nagdesisyon si Sandara at ang kanyang pamilya na bumalik na lamang sa South Korea.

Nagulat ang maraming Pinoy dahil pagkalipas ng ilang taon ay napabilang si Sandara sa all-female singing group na 2NE1, na sikat na sikat ngayon sa Korea.

STILL POPULAR. Pinatunayan naman ni Jessy ang kasikatan ni Sandara sa Korea.

Makikita pa nga raw ang billboards nito sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Seoul.

Sabi ni Jessy, “Sobrang sikat niya sa Korea, as in makikita mo yung mukha niya everywhere!”

“Sabi ko, ‘Sikat na sikat ka sa Philippines, love na love ka pa rin ng mga Pinoy.’”

Hindi raw makapaniwala si Sandara kaya natawa na lang si Jessy.

Medyo pagod daw si Sandara nang magkita sila dahil may pinanggalingan itong event, pero game pa rin daw itong nakipag-usap sa kanya.

“Pinag-usapan lang namin kung kumusta siya dun, kung na-miss ba niya ang Philippines.

“Sabi niya, gusto na niyang bumalik dito, gusto niyang bumisita.

“Tapos… ewan kung papayagan siya.”
