2NE1, Only Korean Group In Japan iTunes List For “This Year’s Most Anticipated Artist”

Girl group 2NE1 has attracted the attention of international KPop fans all over the world.

First, 2NE1 was selected as the “Best Female Group” in international, English media site, “AllKPop” which hosted their “2011 AllKpop Awards.” The online voting for the polls were participated in by 3 million music fans all over the world.

On the 26th, AllKpop revealed the winners of their online awards poll. On the video of 2NE1 showed via AllKpop, they said, “Thank you to all our loving fans, and AllKpop for 2011 Best Female Group. And we wish you all a very happy 2012.”

2NE1’s world-wide popularity is also spread all over Asia. 2NE1 especially gained massive popularity and attained success in Japan. On the 25th, iTunes Japan announced their 2012 most promising newcomer artist, listing out 10 groups for the “Japan Sound of 2012,” where 2NE1 was the only group from South Korea named on the list.

Furthermore, after their official Japan debut on September last year, 2NE1 has also conducted a Japan concert tour in three cities (Yokohama, Kobe, and Tokyo). This series of concerts, mobilized a total of 70,000 attendees, the biggest number of recorded attendance in a debut live concert made by a Korean artist in Japan.

On the other hand, 2NE1 is planning to have new promotions in Japan on February, where great interest is already being shown.

Photos: Dara For Skin Malgem In Korea and Sweet Propose In Thailand!

Woot, woot! The Skin Malgem magazine ads for Korean magazines look very nice! Cannot wait to see it on print next month! ❤

And it’s nice that while Sweet Propose wasn’t actively promoted in Korea (they promoted SHINee’s Bee Happy, but I really think that Sweet Propose was for the international market anyways. ^^) compared to the other campaigns, it has been promoted extensively in the international Etude Houses!

Photos/Info: 2NE1 Visits Hyungboo Korean Restaurant

Hyungboo is a very popular Korean restaurant located in Akasaka, Japan. A lot of Korean celebrities frequent that place when they are in Japan, and it seems 2NE1 also went to try out the famous restaurant!

Dara and Minzy went to the restaurant first, on October 19, 2011. It’s cute knowing that the fake and real maknaes went out on a date in Japan together! ^^

According to the website (where you can see what the celebrities ordered from the menu, a bit creepy but yes) Dara and Minzy ordered Korean beef ribs, geotjoli (a kind of kimchi), and japchae (vermicelli noodles with veggies and beef). Aside from that, Dara made an extra order (I’m assuming it was only Dara who ordered it, since it’s not on Minzy’s list) of uijeongbu budaejjigae or army base soup (ramen with kimchi, pork sausages, tofu, and veggies.. the works!)…

On November 9th, all of the 2NE1 girls plus Big Bang’s maknae Seungri, went to the restaurant and ordered a hefty meal! They ordered the Korean Bulgogi set, salted squid, and a toppokki (rice cakes) meal!
