Sandara Park, who was a judge in ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Boyband Superstar, is prouder than ever for the reality show’s winners Ford Valencia, Joao Constancia, Niel Murillo, Russell Reyes, and Tristan Ramirez, who are now collectively known as BoybandPH.

Push caught up with Dara for an exclusive interview before she went out onstage for her mini-concert she personally requested from local clothing brand Penshoppe for her fans. And yes, she talked about her proud “stage mom” moment to BoybandPH where she was caught filming them while performing a song for her.

“Love na love ko talaga sila. I was really touched kasi ‘nung time na ‘yun, sila Joao, parang sabi nila ‘Thank you, Ate Dara. Thank you. Thank you. You’re my ate. Lima kami, don’t worry.’ So parang nagkaroon ako ng limang brothers,” she remarked.

When asked why she chose to celebrate her birthday with her friends in the Philippines, the South Korean superstar said it’s because she wanted to have a “Pinoy-style” party.

“Ang saya. Usually kasi sa club ‘yung mga parties sa ibang bansa – sa Korea, sa Japan, lahat clubs and DJs pero hindi ako nag-eenjoy sa mga clubs kasi hindi ako sumasayaw, hindi ako umiinom. So naisip ko ‘paano kaya Pinoy-style na birthday party?’ ‘Yun ‘yung mga sing-along. So nagrequest ako ng guitar and then isang vocalist. So on the spot nagrequest kami,” she said.

“Pwede ba ‘to? ‘Hanggang Ngayon’? Kaya mo pa? Kayang-kaya niya. So sing-along kami lahat. Nandun ang BoybandPH, Erik Santos, Christian Bautista. ‘Yung mga magagaling na singers. So parang nanunuod ako ng ASAP,” she added.
