News: Will.I.Am to Accelerate 2NE1’s U.S. Debut Album

Black Eyed Peas leader and producer Will.I.Am came to Korea to accelerate 2NE1’s U.S. debut album.

He arrived in Korea on February 27 whose plan is to work on promoting Intel’s Ultrabook Project promotion and 2Ne1’s U.S. album. Currently as Intel’s ‘Director of Creative Innovation’ he will visit many cities to collaborate with local artists to create a song inspired by each city he travels to. This visit to Korea also is part of the global project.

Will.I.Am will be meeting 2NE1 separately apart from Intel’s promotion to concentrate on their album. Meanwhile it’s been noted that 2NE1 and Will.I.Am has completed over 10 songs and plans to conduct additional work through this visit.

2NE1’s representative shared with Star News on February 27, “Will.I.Am plans to spend a lot of time together with 2NE1 to discuss about producing. He has shown great enthusiasm as to even set up a music studio in his temporary place of residence in Korea. We believe a clearer picture of 2NE1’s plan to enter the US market will come out through this visit.”

Will.I.Am and 2NE1’s joint stage last year at the MAMA has already made headlines. 2NE1 began to receive the world’s spotlight by the joint stage of CL and will.i.am was noted to be selected as MTV’s best performance.

2NE1 and Producer Teddy are collaborating with Will.I.Am for Intel’s Ultrabook Project. They will be making the Ultrabook theme song for Seoul. Such theme song will be uploaded in Intel’s Ultrabook Project website and will be free for download.

Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas is currently in Seoul and he met up with our lovely girls to party it up in a club. ^_^ Its nice seeing the girls out and about having loads of fun. Unfortunately, because of her age, Minzy couldn’t go inside the club but Dara, Bom and CL looked like they had loads of fun.

News: Will.I.Am “I want to make 2NE1 into a world-wide top group”

International producer and member of group, Black Eyed Peas, Will.I.Am, who produced songs for girl group 2NE1, has given his praise for them.

On the 10th, during the premiere of Hollywood animated movie, Rio, Will.I.Am expressed, “I want to help make 2NE1 be the best group internationally,” saying his aspirations. (A/N: The news paraphrased what Will.I.Am said, which is “I want to do for 2NE1, what I do for the Black Eyed Peas, and that’s you know, number one in a whole bunch of countries.”)

In his interview with Pacific Rim Video (The interview was actually conducted by Chris Trondsen of Pacific Rim Video. However, the original news article linked below said MaximoTV. We stand corrected.), he revealed “We’ve alread worked eight songs with 2NE1,” he said, “And we are going to do more work on two more songs,” revealing his plan.

Will.I.am followed with, “It’s not easy. We have been working extremely hard to make 2NE1 a superstar, not only in Korea, but as well as other countries all over the world,” he explained. “We want to introduce 2NE1 in countries like Brazil and London,” he continued. (A/N: Again, this is paraphrased. He said, “It’s not easy. We’re taking our time with it, because the plan is to make someone from Korea, big in every country, not just in Korea.”)

2NE1, with the support of Will.I.Am plans to enter into the global music market, starting with the United States. 2NE1 and Will.I.A have recorded together three times, with a duration of three weeks, to complete the recording of 10 songs, meeting in different places like London and LA to work with music.

Will.I.Am debuted in 1998, and along with female member, Fergie, the four-member group became Black Eyed Peas, whose music and unique style, is popular all over the world.
