The number 21 and New Evolution blends together to form “New Evolution Of The 21st Century,” which is the meaning of “2NE1.” And these 4 ladies surely don’t shy away from what their names bear, and have every intention of showing off a beautiful evolution.

STYLE

CL is tough, yet remains feminine.
Bom is like her voice, soft and cute.
Dara is fresh and natural, while retaining a boyish style.
Minzy is both innocent and professional, that shows two different sides of her.

FASHION

For 2NE1, fashion is just as important as music.
They have been sporting a unique blend of the present street culture fashion while pursuing the state-of-the-art cutting edge fashion that mixes into something unique, intense, and cute.
In South Korea, they are already treated as fashion icons.
Even fashion designer, Jeremy Scott, who has worked as a designer for top artists such as Madonna and Bjork, has acknowledged 2NE1’s great fashion style.

PERFORMANCE

Far from just doing dance music, and the most important thing is that their music can have their own dance expression.
Their choreography doesn’t merely rely on rhythm and sound, but also according the meaning and flow of the lyrics, leaving a strong impression. 2NE1 does not do full choreographies, but emphasizes on full improvisation, giving their performances a “raw” feeling that is both dynamic and fun. They don’t perform based on a fixed and strict format, and instead, enjoys the music to the fullest.

They might be seen as a cool girl group, but they insist that they are normal women.
They are a cool girl group, but it’s their usual features that are amazing.
Through a “2NE1 24-hour show” format that monitors that members through cameras installed throughout their dorms and office building, they show that they are four very “normal” kids. In fact, “2NE1 TV” the program series that showed their natural side, has become so popular that they have already produced the third season. It showed that the four members’ warm personalities and incredible bond, even showing their no make-up bare faces, making their popularity even higher. The four members prove that their natural personalities can be just as attractive as their fierce personalities on-stage.

RECORD

They are already called as South Korea’s “Ultimate Girl Group,” but it’s not just because of their unique style that is.
2NE1’s record can easily prove that their music is powerful and that they are not only known for their style.
Ever since their Korean debut in 2009, they have already garnered more than 30 awards from different Asian award-giving bodies!
Their Japan debut album, “NOLZA” even ranked #1 in the Oricon weekly album charts, a new record.

YGEX YG FAMILY

Coming from legendary Korean hip-hop group, Seo Taeji and Boys, YG Entertainment President, Yang Hyun-Suk, is now the CEO and founder of YGE.
They are a company known for putting a high importance on musical talent and skills of their individual talents and artists.
JINUSEAN, 1TYM, GUMMY, SE7EN, and BIG BANG are some of 2NE1’s predecessors, and this is a family who is known for their “good music” and tightly-knit bond. Their YG FAMILY concerts are a must-see.

Diplo, Dr. Dre, Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am.. They are just some of the people in the music business who are interested in 2NE1. Even with their normal wear, they are girls who are extraodinary. They have their nails designed well, but wear sneakers most of the time and aren’t afraid to rough it up. They are also thoroughly feminine, and can totally sell their natural and feminine ways without pretense. Although they don’t mimic anyone, their fashion style is something that people want to copy from, their songs and dances have become favorites. But their advice is to wear your own style, own your own personality and wear what you want. But if you truly want to copy from them and are comfortable in their fashion, then it is also fortunate. These are people who are aware of their surroundings, but who are also aware of their own tastes and own preferences, and because of that, they have evolved into something unique and admirable. These 4 people’s cheerfulness and bond is also their primary weapon, as they continue to grow together. Like the word “evolution” that they bear in their name, these 4 people would totally bring out something new every time that is worth looking forward to.

It seems that 2NE1 has done it all. Three venues, with a total of 6 live performances, they all played together with the fans, giving reign to a happy kind of chaos. And in the middle of this gaeity and seeming disorientation, four unique and prominent personalities have risen up with their charming charisma, to become the top pop icons, giving the attentive audience a lively and overwhelming performance that they will never forget. CL

2NE1’s leader who gives a powerful performance while seeking to build rapport with the fans by communicating with them, CL. With her silver microphone in hand, shaking her blonde hair, she steals the limelight with her awesome rapping abilities. She stepped up to being the MC for the Japanese NOLZA, as said by the fans. She also amazed them with her expressive dancing. With her profile and sharp eyes, she does give off an extreme force while remaining to be feminine, truly a representation of the new women of the 21st century.

BOM

2NE1’s unmistakable songstress, Bom. Although she is the group’s eldest, when she takes her part as the MC, she sets the mood that the other members follow. With her green mic, she belted out her powerful vocals, her voice reverberating the high notes to every corner of the venue. She showed off a grand appearance, wearing a wedding gown, when it came the time for her solo, and everytime she stepped up to be the MC, it set a warm atmosphere, indeed Park Bom showed a different side of herself during this tour.

DARA

She is in charge of the unique and excellent image of the group, 2NE1, because of her natural beauty and bubbly cuteness of which she can proudly boast of, Dara. Clutching her orange microphone with which she broadcasts her refreshing voice, her existence is like a shining star, and her presence is really powerful live. During MC time, she said, “Let’s eat at CoCo Ichi Curry!” encouraging the fans, and proving that she owns the humor on-stage. On the other hand, she showed everyone that she also possesses strong vocals during her solo performance, and gave an unexpected side of her that everyone should watch out for.

MINZY

She is the youngest of the group, but when she is on stage, she dominates with her exceptional dancing skills, Minzy. Her purple microphone vaguely the same as her hair color, she showcases her singing and rapping just as boldly. As an MC, she showed her natural personality, without candor. Her aggressiveness and flexibility shown in her dance moves leaves a powerful impact that cannot be forgotten. In the live performance, she shows consistent progress during her dance that builds up the feel little by little, until this young girl shows that she is unstoppable.
