We all know that Flowsik of AZIATIX is a Dara fanboy. In this interview, he again shows us that his heart hasn’t changed. He then goes on to say that he likes Sandara Park then he goes, “Hi Sandara, come to me!” He then continued on to say that, “I like San… 2NE1…” You can check out that part of their interview at around 9:00 mark of the video.

OMG Fan-Account: “This is why I will forever be a fan…”

I swear! This fan-account is just to die for! Dara is the sweetest and most precious girl ever! Read this fan-account shared to us by Oh, My Goddess in order to see how breathtakingly beautiful Dara is inside and out!

The fan account will be rephrased a little and a few details will be added here and there in order for all of you guys to understand better.

Dara looked for Oh, My Goddess via me2day. No one was replying from Oh, My Goddess because they weren’t online so Dara asked another fan who always goes with Oh, My Goddess every single time. Dara looked for Oh, My Goddess because she wanted to say something to them. Dara said that she had something to ask OMG. She said, “You guys always receive my signature, right? But my sign is not pretty and it is ugly because I write it quickly because there is no time… I feel really sad about that… TT TT So I want to ask where do you use them? Keke”

It turns out, Dara felt bad about giving the fans “ugly” signatures that’s why she tried to look for Oh, My Goddess so that she can give them better-looking signatures. (Insert all the oohhhh, ahhhhh and awwwwws here!) Dara said, “Ahha~! I bet all our members think the same way as me!!! You guys always come out to meet us when we are tired, so we want to give you a good sign, not like those ugly signs. We feel really sorry and uncomfortable about giving those ugly ones. TT TT”

YOU CAN READ THE FULL FAN ACCOUNT HERE!!!

Includes sweet airport and me2day moments!

Yes my dear Daralings! Dara actively sought out and looked for Oh, My Goddess because she feels bad that she gives them “ugly” autographs. What idol does that? Dara actually feels bad that she didn’t give them “pretty” autographs.

Awwww Dara! You’re probably one of the few idols who practices signatures because you worry about giving fans ugly ones. You’re probably the ONLY idol who actively seeks out fans just because you feel bad that you gave them ugly ones. You’re probably the only idol who says sorry to the fans you give signatures to, because you think it’s ugly. Don’t. We love your signature may it come in whatever shape, size or form.

Dara-yah, you are so precious!

And this is why I am a fan.

News: 2NE1’s Dara on the Worldwide List in Women Leaders’ Top 10 Women to Watch

Women to watch are American politician Gabrielle Giffords, Japanese virtual popstar Hatsune Miku, Indonesian CEO Karen Agustiawan, Taiwanese popstar Ella Chen, Malaysian professional squash player Nicol David, Korean popstar Dara of 2NE1, Indian chocolate artisan Mayavee Khandelwal, UK singer Birdy, YouTube Sensation Julie Anne San Jose and CNN Anchor Veronica Pedrosa.

The Top 10 Women to Watch are selected by the Women Leaders’ Centre based on several important criteria: positive bottom line organisational impact, global influence on women equality and unique contribution to contemporary society.

As a CNN Anchor, Veronica Pedrosa won the Best News Anchor by the 2004 Asia Television Awards. Recently as an Al Jazzera correspondent, she meets Imelda Marcos takes a journey back to the country she was exiled from when she was just a child. It is also the country where she later began her 20-year career as a journalist and braves to examine the actual impact of relative freedom of expression in the Philippines. Today, she continues to bring viewers news on all the major global and regional news events and has interviewed a wide range of world figures including Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, Nobel Peace Prize Winner Aung San Suu Kyi, East Timor Foreign Minister Jose Ramos Horta, Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Former Philippine President Corazon Aquino, New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and Australian Prime Minister John Howard. She has also hosted the HR Talk Show in June to facilitate discussion in organisational best practices contributing to growth in an uncertain economy. Veronica Pedrosa is indeed a certified “Woman at the Top.”

And of course, who would forget that charming little girl who grew up to be a fine lady. It’s no other than Youtube sensation Julie Anne San Jose, who captured the hearts of millions with her covered songs – her rendition of Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass is the bomb! Recently, she was awarded as the Best Teen Female Performer during the 24th Aliw Awards. People say that she is the perfect role model for young girls everywhere and we couldn’t agree more. Hands down, she’s the winner. Julie Anne is a fast-rising star who is ready to take over Manila and the rest of the world by storm.

There’s no doubt about it. Women everywhere are vital players in each and every society. When it comes to leadership, sports, entertainment, business, and politics, women now have the authority and power to nurture and shape different industries. They are the top innovators, movers, and shakers of this century. Women have broken new ground in diverse areas of expertise – therefore making them the visions of a new generation.

“When you look at the 10 personalities in this list, it’s apparent that women are making a buzz,” says Women Leaders Director Frank Mercado. “It’s clear to see that more and more women are achieving significant success.”

The list was gathered in light of the forthcoming Women Leaders conference in Manila, Philippines. Women at the Top 2012 is the best avenue for women to share their stories and inspirations. This conference aims to highlight the progress in the lives of women around the world. This conference is all about breaking boundaries and barriers, and fostering relationship among the women leaders of today. The conference will be composed of some of the world’s top business women, women leaders, entrepreneurs, and women who accomplished the fields of information technology, beauty, fashion, music, the arts, sport, science and government. The exchange of ideas will put its center of attention on what women want in terms of a holistic lifestyle as they increasingly achieve and progress towards positions of power, wealth and influence. Article: MTV Iggy Taps Social Media To Push Global Music Envelope

You might think Jersey Shore, Teen Mom and their siblings are the future of the “Music TV” Network. Often times we wonder where music videos fit into the MTV picture in a world of YouTube, Vevo and more. You’ll definitely see the top pop-sensations each year at the VMAs, but when you truly think about where the top innovations in the music world are coming from — you don’t always think MTV.

Take an extremely passionate, 16-year MTV employee, whose love for MTV, David Bowie and American culture brought him from India and Dubai to the Big Apple years ago, and you have MTV Iggy, the new global music brand and incubator MTV has cultivated under the leadership of now-35-year-old Nusrat Durrani, SVP and GM of MTV World.

The social media impact Iggy’s had since the launch on September 26 has been quite good: Facebook updates have garnered over 4.5 million post views; Facebook fan interactions and feedback have more than doubled, with an increase of over 136%; MTV Iggy’s Facebook and Twitter accounts have doubled and tripled in fans, with 114% and 235% increases, respectively; the social media platforms have a truly global following with top Facebook fan countries being from: USA, Mexico, India, Venezuela and Pakistan.

Described as a “multi-platform music brand connecting America with global artists and pop culture phenomena,” MTV Iggy recently announced that it crowd Korean pop sensation 2NE1 as The Best New Band in the World 2011 after a six-week “social media-intensive” search.

We talked to Nusrat Durrani about the new MTV brand and its social media-driven approach.

#2NE8DARA and Sandara Park Trended!

Thanks to the efforts and love of Blackjacks, Daralings and Dara Lovers all around the world, not only was #2NE8DARA able to trend but Sandara Park trended as well!!!

#2NE8DARA was able to trend  around 10-15 minutes after we started trending and a few minutes after that, Sandara Park followed! What is more awesome is that #2NE8DARA trended for a little over an hour while Sandara Park trended for almost 2 hours! How amazing is that?!?! The love for our amazing Goddess is indeed overwhelming! In our own little way, we hope we were able to bring a smile on Dara’s face!

Before I end this post, I would like to leave a contest entry from unknown_lurker about why she loves Dara!

I don’t know why I kept defending her on 2ne1′s vids, I don’t know why I kept following her every move. I certainly cannot point out any reason as to why I have this urge to be “protective” of her and to defend her from those unforgiving comments that I often see directed to her…heck, I don’t even know why I never fail to check up on news of her and become somewhat pissed at the little lines she had seemingly been given in their songs (which I often than not don’t mind since as someone else put, she’s had the more memorable ones to boot). Even at times, I don’t know why I suddenly feel my heart ache seeing her cry. But I guess, I see myself in her.

She knows she’s not the best, yet she goes on to improve more. Whenever she smiles in pictures or videos, there’s this happy, tingling feeling inside, as if I also become happy myself.

Perhaps I could only come up with one conclusion in all these: “SandaraPark– no matter the titles she hold, in the end, isSandaraPark”. She is human – fragility and all. She has this aura of gentleness – with her ever beaming smile plastered on her face, as if saying “don’t give up and choose to be happy, choose to follow your dreams”. She embodies this “familiar” feeling in her that makes any fan feel comfortable around her (though her awkwardness towards co-artists is really something amusing). It is perhaps this approachableness – optimism and drive – her humanity – that made me feel those things towards her.

She does not know each one of us personally, yet she’s always one to reach out to us. She may never remember the faces or the names but seeing her give her all on their performances and show a portion of her life to us makes me appreciate her all the more.

When all the glitz and glamour fade or wherever place life takes her, she’ll remain loved. Honestly, as lots of people here pointed out, in a simple answer to the query “why do you love dara?”, I’ll answer what Denis Cooverman replied to Beth Cooper:

“What’s not to love?”
