News: SBS’ ‘Inkigayo’ Cancels July 7th Broadcast Due to the Asiana Airlines Crash
As much as it pains us that 2NE1’s comeback has been delayed, let us all be mindful, respectful and sensitive to all the lives lost and those who were injured and affected by the Asiana Airlines plane crash.
We have waited so long for 2NE1’s comeback, we can wait longer. Their comeback has been delayed due to compelling reasons. Let us not forget that.
According to various sources, Inkigayo will still go on as planned but it will NOT BE BROADCASTED. Several groups will still perform for the audience but 2NE1 will not perform live. They will just greet the fans.
On another note, the single release and MV counter is still running on YG-Life.
We are hoping that it will still be released as scheduled!

Attention K-pop enthusiasts! The upcoming July 7th broadcast of SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ that you’ve all been waiting for will not air today following the tragic Asiana Airlinesplane crash that occurred on the 6th.
An SBS representative announced, “A special report on the plane crash is set to air in the ‘Inkigayo’ time slot. Following the plane crash, we feel that the celebratory atmosphere of the music show does not match with the public sentiment, so we made this decision.”
2NE1, A Pink, Dynamic Duo, MYNAME were scheduled to make their comeback stages as well as Ivy who planned to hold her farewell stage. The artists have already pre-recorded their stages and it has been revealed that only those who were present at the venue will be able to see the stages as it will not air.
