It’s my turn share something while we wait for more updates. Pardon me but I dont know where to post this but I just have an interesting moment with someone today, this Police acquaintance of mine here in brooklyn who i first thought is chinese and whose last name i didn’t know only until earlier. When i found out his last name is Park and is korean i ask him if he is familiar with a celebrity named Sandara Park. I expect a curious and ambivalent answer to such question, after all who would bother to care that much especially from a 35 yr old New york cop about some entertainment personality from his own country. But It turns out to be that this academy trained police officer is more of a fanboy with his beaming smile and almost childish reaction to my question. Keke. His eyes widened and stammer a bit searching for words when i mention her name. Lol!!! If you could only see his reaction ^_^ It’s not like he got promoted or something but he is definitely excited talking about her.
Yes he is absolutely familiar with Dara and he’s obviously got a crush on her. He says she’s “reaaaally cute!!” Keke..This suprising thing tempted me to think of holding his hands in euphoria and jump together with him in unison like a bunch of crazy kids who just got their first junk food of the day. But i have to remain calm and want to know more about korean reception to sandara especially here in new york. He says she is very populary among koreans here and implied that she is around the world as well…within their community.I want to ask more specific questions about their impressions on sandara but our jobs prevent us for talking further. But this was pleasant thing to hear and i have the 1st coolest time talking to this cop. Usually it’s all about guns and bums and other boring stuff. Now i found somebody, a fellow fanboy, to talk to and giggle with sometimes about sandara. Haha. It doesn’t matter if he is a cop or older than me. I just got myself a korean best friend keke.
