Photos: Random 2NE1 and Dara pics
December 12, 2009
The Internet has provided idols with a way to connect with their fans. This year, a lot of media inventions have provided these interventions for fans and idols. Popular mini-hompy sites, along with Twitter and me2day, were used by celebrities to update, inform, and delight their fans.
Me2day has popular idols G-Dragon and the girls of 2NE1 to keep it as one of Korea’s most popular sites. In fact, G-Dragon has used it to update fans about his concert as he uploaded a picture and video of his Shine A Light concert practice. The update roused interest and made fans more excited for his first solo concert.
2NE1 members CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy are also taking advantage of the site’s features to update their fans. Dara Park used it to convey a message to her sick brother who was stricken with swine flu. She also posted a picture of herself which she edited to make her look like an alien. This caused laughter among fans. Although startled by the picture, they say, “It was cute,” and were happy that they could communicate to Dara and the other girls directly.
