News: 2NE1′s collaboration with Adidas to be brought to another level?

2NE1′s collaboration with Adidas to be brought to another level?

Adidas has expressed that 2NE1‘s collaboration with them will be brought to the next level. In August, 2NE1 has held 2 massive “New Evolution” concerts in America, and whether it was New York on the East Coast or Los Angeles near the Pacific Ocean, both packed concerts certainly drove their American fans mad (with excitement/happiness).

I heard Nike wants to poach them away“, Adidas’s Publicity Director for the Asia-Pacific market, Andy Collison, half-jokingly said. 2NE1, as one of those on the forefront of contemporary Korean entertainment, has an incomparable influence around the world; and thus, the campaign that they have shot for a major brand like Adidas is extremely important.

Andy Collison also revealed that 2NE1 ‘s collboration with Adidas has been going on for some time and the commercial that they have shot along with Derrick Rose who’s making a comeback, has already been broadcasted around the world in over 50 countries.

Adidas is known to engage spokespersons that cater to local tastes in different countries or regions, however, Andy Collison said that he thinks 2NE1 caters to the tastes of everyone irregardless of where they are from, thus, they will be appearing in all the commercials.

K-pop is extremely popular at the moment. Wasn’t there this guy lately who’s song, Gangnam Style, got really popular? The song excites and has great rythm.. really awesome,” Andy Collison said.

Having been appointed as a global spokesperson for Adidas, maybe we’ll soon be able to see 2NE1 attending events together with Beckham.

In addition, Adidas is also planning to get 2NE1 their own Adidas campaign song, and this mission is most likely to be a collaboration with YG Entertainment’s trump card, producer Teddy Park.

News: YG Entertainment’s Artists Have No Competitors, ‘Music Chart Relay’

YG Entertainment’s Artists Have No Competitors, ‘Music Chart Relay’

It seems like YG Entertainment has taken over Korea’s music industry.

This year, YG artists 2NE1, Big Bang, Psy and Big Bang member G-Dragon have all taken turns heating up the music charts.

In June, Big Bang’s special album, Still Alive, won 1st place with their upscale talent and music.

Sister group 2NE1 also came out after Big Bang with “I Love You” and ranked number 1 on the charts as well.

Right after 2NE1, rapper Psy came out with “Gangnam Style” and placed first on the charts. He also became a world star when his music video on Youtube went viral.

After Psy’s success, Big Bang member G-Dragon came out with his solo album title song, “That XX” and ranked number 1.

There does not seem to be any stopping for YG. With G-Dragon’s recent comeback, it seems that YG will be heating up the charts until the end of this year.
