I have a question, is this true? Because i dont see any YG websites confirming it. Or are they not confirming it just yet? But if its due november, shouldn’t they be confirming it now?
My sentiment exactly. If it’s a YG project, shouldn’t they be drumming up interest on her 1st attempt on acting by now? And yes, I did see her pic with Steven Yeun in her sns, that’s it. But then, didn’t YG say individual sns accounts are managed personally by the talents? Just saw some commotion about this project on Twitter, but was it from YG or just Dara? Can somebody enlighten me on this? Really really hope to see it. Maybe Dara/BJs should spread the word about this to help with the promotion.
I dont like how YG handles this shows promotion. I mean thats fcking Steven Yeun and its a fcking Laugh or Die skit! Why the hell would he not promote it. I’m so done with YG’s biasness right now. He promotes the people he favors even a year before their sh!t happens. This will come out THIS NOVEMBER but we hear fcking nothing about it. So to all DARALINGS we’re all the Goddess have right now. Let’s support her on this and by support i meant the utmost support! She’s been waiting fro these chances & it will help pave a bigger way for her to be in dramas and movies . So just please, lets do our best. ♥
I work for the entertainment and advertising world and we have this term called “embargo” w/c means that the paries involved are not allowed to say anything until the company/brand that owns the “product/show/event” says so otherwise. Also, judging from the past idol guestings, idol companies don’t promote their idols’ guesting on FunyOrDie skits either (most snl skits are slightly adult themed so that might be the case too). Its SNL who issues out the press release and its up to the press to pick up the news or not. The leak may have probably got something to do with it too. Or (Gahd i hope im wrong on this one) maybe because her paets are not that big so YG and/or SNL does not want to over hype it and leave fans disappointed.
Us fans should just quit with the whinning and be thankful that she was allowed to do this. You do know that us whinning is considered bad publicity w/c might affect her chances of being casted again. Drum up positive news and anticipation and follow through with actually watching the show to boost ratings.
Thankful, well honestly. Im no longer thankful, this has been stalling for far too long that many people are now in doubt with her skills. If i know, she only got this chance because 2NE1 is on indefinite hiatus w/ CL’s upcoming solo in the US w/c obviously would take long. Fighting for your right isn’t whining, and i will fight for Dara’s anytime because i put in a rational mind to it. Anyways i’ll support her all the way w/ it. But i do understand the reason you gave, those can be possible too. Especially the ‘leak’ part.
This is true since I’ve watched it myself, but the links were taken down (for now, probably). Dara actually shared the link for the trailer via twitter, but she deleted her tweet since the episodes were not hidden and can be seen on the side of the page which resulted into a leakage (I don’t blame Dara-unnie for the leak, but the uploader for not hiding or privatizing the videos).

I know this show from the US and i;ve seen some segment when Vanessa and Zac are still a couple and Vanessa only guesting. So surprised to see Dara in this show, it was like omg really??? Can’t wait to see Dara in this show!

Woah, hold up! This is definitely YG sanctioned it was filmed a long long time ago. If you follow Dara’s sns account she did mentione that she met up with Steve before. Im more surprised that she filmed an entire skit with him despite her very busy schedule at the time (it was during their comeback home stages)
