2NE1 INVITES 21 FANS TO THEIR PRIVATE MUSIC-LISTENING EVENT BEFORE COMEBACK

2NE1 is to release a new regular album three and a half years after the release of their first regular album “TO ANYONE” in September 2010. Before the disclosure of the music of their second regular album “CRUSH” on-line at midnight on the 25 this month, 2NE1 holds private music-listening event “THE LISTENING” in Seoul on the 20.

21 people including fans selected through on-line music-streaming sites and from 2NE1 fan club, as well as experts from different fields, will be invited to the event. It will be a precious opportunity for 2NE1 to disclose the new songs they ambitiously created to the guests and to listen to their review of the songs in advance before the official release of the album. The location and time of the event will be known only to the 21 selected listeners.

In the poster, there is a hand that is stretched out to light in the space and the title of the event “’PRIVATE EVENT THE LISTENING” with words “2NE1 NEW ALBUM CRUSH”.

Generally, a showcase is held before a singer releases a new album, but 2NE1 holds this unusual private music-listening event. This is the expression of 2NE1’s confidence in the new album that they want to receive a fair evaluation for the album on which they have been working hard for a long time, from fans and experts of different fields.

In their first regular album “TO ANYONE”, 2NE1 attempted a wide variety of genres including electronic, hip-hop, and slow tempo. Plus, they have entertained fans with their bold trial of new genres and dramatic transformations for every new song. Thus, it is worthwhile to pay attention to what review the experts will give to 2NE1’s new music at the event.

2NE1’s new album contains total ten songs and it is known that there will be three songs that are composed and written by CL for the first time in the album. So, fans are paying keen attention to the album.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 will disclose the performance of the new songs in their second regular album at the Seoul concert of their second world tour “ALL OR NOTHING”, which will be held on March 1 and 2 at Olympic Park SK Handball Hall located in Seoul.

2NE1 to Hold a Private Listening Concert for ‘Crush’

For the first time ever, 2NE1 will be having a private listening concert titled The Listening.

On February 20, 2NE1 will hold a private listening concert The Listening in Seoul.

It is an event that will occur before the release of 2NE1’s second album, Crush, which will be released on February 25. This will be the first full-length album that will come out since 2010.

The listening concert will invite 21 people chosen through an online music site and fanclubs, as well as experts in the genre. The new album and songs will be revealed during this event. The place and time will only be unveiled to the 21 chosen listeners.

The poster for The Listening was released on February 17 through Naver Music, showing a very mysterious aura with a hand reaching out into space, while the words “2NE1 New Album Crush” was written across.

YG Entertainment stated, “The reason why 2NE1 is holding such a rare event such as a listening concert could be to show our confidence in wanting to have the fans and experts evaluate the album that we’ve been preparing for a very long time.”

2NE1’s upcoming album will having a total of 10 tracks, including three songs that were self-composed by CL.

Meanwhile, the second album tracks will be released on February 25 at midnight. 2NE1 will also hold its second world tour concert All or Nothing in Seoul on March 1 and 2.
