2NE1 TOPS INKIGAYO: 3RD TROPHY THIS WEEK

[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] YG’s four-girl group 2NE1 (with members CL, DARA, BOM and MINZY) once again topped the chart on SBS’s music program Inkigayo, which means this is their third trophy in just one week.

At Inkigayo held in the evening of Dec 1 at SBS Open Hall, 2NE1 won the trophy by ranking #1 with their newly released mellow ballad song ‘Missing You.’ This was the first time 2NE1 topped the chart on this particular program with the song both written and composed by YG’s main producer, Teddy.

2NE1 had already topped music charts this week on the music-specializing cable channel Mnet’s M Countdown on Nov 28 and MBC’s Show! Music Center on Nov 30. And the latest trophy on Inkigayo marks their whopping third grand prize in just a single week with the new song ‘Missing You’.

The airing of M Countdown was cancelled, and 2NE1 was unable to attend Show! Music Center, so Inkigayo was the first for them to personally receive the award and expressed their impression on the trophy.

Upon receiving the award, CL, the leader of 2NE1, commented, “I thank our boss, Yang Hyun Suk, and congratulate Teddy, the producer,” while also appreciating the fans for their support.

In ‘Popular Music’ 2NE1 became the 1st after ‘M Countdown•Music Core’… Showed their power

[OSEN=Kim Kyung Joo] Girl group 2NE1 showed their power by becoming the 1st place on SBS ‘Popular Music’ after becoming the 1st place on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’.

In ‘Popular Music’ that aired on December 1st, with their title song ‘Missing You’, they became the 1st place over songs ‘The Letter’ by Davichi and “Doom Da Da” by T.O.P.

On this day, 2NE1 said thanks by mentioning the names of people they know of and also said “Thank you” to the fans.

Meanwhile, in ‘Popular music’, Hyolyn, Miss A, 2NE1, Taeyang, Davichi, Tasty, Huh Gak, Vixx, FT Island, History, M.I.B, San E, Shin Ji Hoon, Tint, DGNA (The Boss), Rush, 100% V, Mandoo and Chigi, Led Apple, Baek Seung Hun showed fancy stages.
