UPDATE!!!

According to the news, 2NE1’s Mini Concert in Seoul is also a film shooting for an ABC TV Show in the U.S.  “The Bachelor” is an ABC TV Show. ^^

Earlier today, 2NE1 had a Mini Concert at Yeongdeungpo Times Square which left a lot of fans puzzled. First and foremost, the announcement to hold a Mini Concert was so sudden. I think the schedule was announced only 3 days before the event itself.  Second, when Blackjacks gathered together at the venue, they noticed that the place was filled with American staff not to mention the fact that YGE’s me2day announced that the Mini Concert was for an American Broadcast.

Moreover, as the girls performed, their Korean back-up dancers were replaced by American back-up dancers during “I Am The Best” and “UGLY”.  A fan was able to take a photo with the “dancers”:

Apparently, the American male you see in the photo is the newest lead of hit U.S. reality TV Show “The Bachelor”, Juan Pablo Galavis. The girls with him are his bachelorettes. They are the cast of the newest season of “The Bachelor.”

Former United Soccer League player Juan Pablo Galavis has been revealed as the next star of the ABC reality show ‘The Bachelor.’

Producers announced the news on Monday night’s edition of ‘The Bachelorette’ that Galvis would appear as the lead in the 18th series of the companion dating show which will be aired in January next year.

The 32-year-old has already tried to score on the show once before, but despite failing to find love when he was a contestant on ‘The Bachelorette’ in May he is back for more. Previous winner Ryan Sutter wedded Trista Rehn on live television in 2003.

Do you guys think that the recording will appear on “The Bachelor”?

Information on “The Bachelor”:

The Bachelor is an American reality television dating game show.

The series revolves around a single bachelor (deemed eligible) and a pool of romantic interests (typically 25; 30 in season 15), which could include a potential wife for the bachelor. The conflicts in the series, both internal and external, stem from the elimination-style format of the show. Early in the season, the bachelor goes on large group dates with the women, with the majority of women eliminated during rose ceremonies. As the season progresses, women are also eliminated on one-on-one dates and on elimination two-on-one dates. The process culminates with hometown visits to the families of the final four women, overnight dates, should they choose to accept, at exotic locations with the final three women, and interaction with the bachelor’s family with the final two women. In many cases, the bachelor proposes to his final selection.

Well, this is such a big program in US, so big that it’s like the 20th I don’t know really how many episodes they have now. and it’s always on the news.

Maybe there are promoting something in that show or maybe they are a guest in that show . . .

But Bachelor is really big in US, and around the globe, might be shallow, but it is a big show, for the same reason that it already reach a number of seasons. Their Korea trip might be one of the surprise special group dates for an episode, coz the show usually showcase out of the country trips and features what’s the country is known for. The appearance of 2ne1 might be one of the highlights of their stay in Korea. And to choose 2ne1 from all the kpop artists out there means a lot, I mean that’s just my opinion.

I actually used to be addicted to watching “The Bachelor” from when it first started to the next few seasons. From what I see, it still is a popular show of ABC and the stars do enjoy celebrity status while ongoing. They even land on the covers of People and other magazines. So I don’t mind 2NE1 getting exposure for mainstream TV here in the States.

What?!? I can’t believe this concert is for “the bachelor”. In Australia “the bachelor” is a pretty swallow show..all the girls try and get one guy’s attention. 2NE1 can do so much better than appearing on a show like that! I reckon they should focus on the Asian market. To be honest if they make it big in Asia that will draw in a lot of money already! I really don’t think 2NE1 or any Korean groups are ready for the US.

The Bachelor is an American reality TV show. I’ve only seen a few episodes. From my understanding, the single guy on the show, “the bachelor”, resides in a house with a number of single females. He goes on dates with them and they eventuall get eliminated one by one, The last girl left kind of gets to be the bachelor’s girlfriend or is sometimes even proposed to.

If the back-up dancers were replaced by those American girls, I’m thinking it could be a challenge or one of their “group dates”. Maybe the girls were asked to show off their dancing skills to the bachelor??? The best dancer gets a one-on-one date with the bachelor as a prize, and the worst dancer gets eliminated? IDRK 🙂

Well, if this is true, i don’t think it’s a bad thing at all. It’s an opportunity for the girls to be more known abroad (and i’m not saying they aren’t famous abroad because they really are well-known in other countries, like the US). Maybe this would be an instrument for the girls to gain even more international fans (those who will be drawn to their music and their uniqueness). I say, seize every opportunity, 2ne1. ^_^
