We don’t usually post screencaps of Dara’s old PEX posts, but this is just too precious not to share. I know that Dara has many international fans who don’t understand tagalog, so we’re sharing this with English translations.
In this post, you can get a glimpse of how great a person Sandara Park is. She considers her fans as her friends and wants to keep on fighting and improving for them, and for herself. She shares that she wants to improve and work hard not because she only wants fame, but because she wants to be a real artist. I love how she knows her weaknesses, and instead of dwelling, she sets it upon herself to improve, to go the extra mile. She never gives up in pursuing her dreams. And she also shares that she doesn’t want her fans to fight with her anti’s. She knows that she has anti’s, but she wants her fans to be the bigger people and not fight against them.. She’s just so humble, and for that she earned the respect not just of her fans, but of other people as well.
And oh Dara, we believe in you as well, and we believe that you are a talented artist~! We cannot promise that we won’t want to break your anti’s faces when confronted with them, but we do promise to TRY and become the bigger person because you want us to be.. ^^
I guess she posted this before she went back to Korea for training for 6 months.. She mentioned that she’s still going to sign the contract, probably with YGE so she could become an official trainee.. ^^ (thanks for the people at the comments section for clearing this up for me. ^^)
I’m so sad and sorry to leave you guys, but it’s all for you, and of course, for me too! I have friends like Pauleen, Maoui, Michel, etc, they might not be as popular as I am right now, but I always envy them… When I see them, I always tell them, “I want to be talented like you..” See! I can’t sing well, dance well, or act well right now.. I’m very lucky to have you, friends… My supporters, so I want to make you proud of me.. I don’t want you fighting with anti-Sandara fans who tell you that I don’t have talent! You’re fighting for me.. Hey heartless people, From the start Dee’s life story is not as easy as the other members!! This is the main reason why I am sooo fond of her!!! She’s humble, down to earth and she knows how to look back, she might look fragile but she one of the strongest person that ive eber seen. I can helped my teary eyes while reading this and the more i cried while reading the comments, she is really well love,i dearly love her too,I heard her name when I came back to Phils. after 33 yrs . away from my country,my grandnephew is her idol,i asked my sister who she is,and she said the famous Korean actress in Phils,that was 2009,then 2010 i was curious about the F4 so i watched k-drama boys vs.flowers,i fell in love with K-drama then once in a while i was curious about K_pop then i always encounter d name sandara Park and she always mention about Phils,from that day on 2 this day i never missed reading about her i become an avid fan of her and all yg,in fact i was really an avid fan that i asked my son(born in the 80’s) to buy me a ticket for their 2NE1 concert in NJ,USA.I enjoyed d show,may be someday i will meet her in person(see I’m 60 yr,what am i doing with k-pop it’s bcuz of sandara Park.also thank to OH DARA FOR UPDATING EVERYDAY .I’m waiting for their english tour with WILLIAM.take care of yourself dara ( one of my bucket list is 2 see u in person)love from grandma.

As i was reading this, i got teary eyed, i can feel the sincerity of her message. She really is an amazing woman indeed. Very humble and considerate but yet know how to give a good fight of fate. She really is an inspiration to all who have big dreams, may it not be on the same field that she is now, but to dream big in different fields. to dream the impossible things. I believe God is with her and I pray that she will continue to dream big and achieve all that she desires. I am glad i chose the right ;person to admire. can someone please enlighten me how anyone with a soul hate on this amazing, amazing woman? i mean, she’s so kind and thoughtful and humble and considerate and understanding (even to her haters, damn) and the list goes on and on and on… even her presence radiates positivity of all sorts. she’s worth every single fight a fan goes into with her hater just to defend her. dara, i tell you, it’s not easy to turn a blind eye, but if you want otherwise.. no, just no. the “not fighting” part will take time. jeez dara, cut your fans some slack. And how she talks about herself not having any talent. she has every bragging right there is at that time with her immense popularity and there she goes saying that she needs improvement. gaah seriously woman?! are you even real? the success she has now, she deserve all of it. all of it.

And this is why my friend why we SUPER LOVE DARA, and defend her to the core to all the haters out there, but if Dara said that we must fight with, then I CAN just tolerate and ignore, IF I CAN. We all know what she went through just to achieve her dream to be a star in her home country, despite many people telling her she will not make it, but look at her she is at the TOP of her league way higher than when she left here. This is why I love her so much. Dara really worked hard to be where she is now and I hope haters can see how humble she is and how she really trained to improve. She did not just became a 2NE1 member because of her looks, she strived hard to have the talent. She’s a determined person who will do her best and 100%, even YG and other artists already mentioned several times that Dara is always the one who practice more and stays late working on her routine. There’s a correction: “I might not be trouble maker,,,,” she actually wrote “I might be trouble maker, krung krung… ” because back in the philippines she is known to say whatever she wants to say without even thinking the outcome so sometimes she gets in trouble with what she say or do.. No, really. I admire her very much because she works hard and strives to improve herself. It would be so easy to be just a pretty face, but she herself isn’t satisfied with that. Thinking about her makes me want to do the same (although I would also want to have her face, but that’s impossible – even with the help of Clio cosmetics kekeke).

Honestly, I was not very aware of Sandara when she was still here in the Philippines because I don’t watch channel 2 (or TV for that matter) but I’m SO PROUD with all that she’s accomplishing now. Like what YG said: “Sandara makes the impossible, POSSIBLE” (and how apt that they became endorsers of Adidas lol) She may not be the most talented, but her determination and unwavering spirit showed that you can get what you want when you work hard for it. March 2005: I think this was the first time she went to Korea to train in acting for a few months (5-6) under YGE’s sponsorship. She went back to the Philippines around October 2005 to finish her remaining contract with ABS-CBN. The second time she went back to Korea- to stay there for good with her family and become an official trainee for YGE -was August 2007.

Just a little correction:
This post was written in 2005, when Dara suddenly left to train in YG for 6 months at the peak of her career, not when she left the Philippines for good (that was in 2007). When Dara said that “I might not be as popular as now when I go back there” she meant go back to the Philippines from training in Korea, So to sum things up, Dara left the Philippines twice — once in 2005 to train at YG for 6 months then went back to the Philppines to continue her career. Then her family decided to move back to Korea for good in 2007.

People kept asking me why I still watch you on TV or go to the cinema to watch your movies, but I told them that I just saw something in you that I cannot explain in words. Then you went to Korea amidst the critics’ assertion that you cannot be a star in your own country, but you persisted. When you debuted as 2NE1’s Dara, everyone was suddenly claiming your attention. But despite your immense success, you remained humble and caring to all of your fans. Now, the people around me are reading the articles about you with me or watching your videos and pictures. It is my dream to be able to meet you one day. Sandara Park, fighting!!!
