“Manliness” for different cultures may mean different things. I was quite confused when Seven brought this as a quality that he was seeking for the man he wants to introduce to Dara in Strong Heart. He mentioned it in the same vein as “behavior’ and “manners” thus, I concluded he meant to refer it to character. Not unlike Seven, Thunder is also very clear about his definition of manliness- “trustworthiness”-which is also about one’s character. I’m glad that both these young men whose opinions Dara rely upon are very sensible people.
