They only went to this Adidas launch party for WORK. Jeremy Scott invited them to perform at the event but the media is trying to make it seem like they’re wild party goers.

2NE1 aren’t even the types who like going to clubs according to an interview. They’d rather stay at their apartment and Dara enjoys doing laundry and watching dramas.

I hate how the media is trying to make this look controversial when in reality, it’s harmless pics. Dara is simply posing with a YG Family member and it’s not like she’s the one who’s smoking. Besides, they’re old enough anyway.

You know what?

Everyone has the right to do what they want to do in their own private time. As long as someone isn’t hurting someone else – who cares?

I am writing from the perspective of a foreigner teaching English in Korea. I’m also a professional studio musician in Canada with album credits to my name. So I know the ‘game’ from an insiders point of view.

I like 2ne1 and Big Bang. I saw the 2ne1 Pink Play concert in 2010. They were entertaining.

If they want to have a party, let them. And they should be able to do that without everyone judging them or questioning their motives.

As far as GDragon smoking pot is concerned – in Canada, no one would care – because
there are a lot more worse problems in the world. It’s a minor thing that’s easily corrected.

I must admit I don’t quite understand the scandal type thinking in Korea about this. And as far as marijuana is concerned – you’ll die first from a normal cigarette.

I’m not abdicating drug or alcohol use. I don’t smoke and I rarely drink. And I’ve been to music related parties where everyone is doing that and haven’t smaoked or drank myself – just because I didn’t feel like it and was having a great time without it.

I guess what I’m saying is – just because someone is at a party and there’s smoking and drinking, it doesn’t mean that everyone there is doing that. Some of us don’t.

In my experience – everyone is an individual and should be treated that way, and not as a group all guilty by association. I understand how that happens, but I know it’s flawed logic in many cases.

We should remember that when judging anyone, not just entertainers.

WTH? This is old news. These pics are from the Jeremy Scott Adidas party back in 2009? 2010? Too lazy to google for the exact date, but I remember Dara’s outfit really well, and I remember seeing these pics when personal pics were leaked after the party. It was in a club, and you could even probably search for video clips of it on YouTube. Minzy wasn’t there because she’s still underage; only Bom, Dara and CL with Jeremy Scott. Bom and Dara was really awkward with Jeremy because it was their first time working with him, but CL was instantly chummy. Censoring Kush’s cigarette makes it look more ~illegal~ than it really is lmfao. And it was only a normal cig. Jesus Fucking Christ.

It’s really irritating how low antis are willing to go to smear the YG Family. Anyone who believes this shit is a moron.

I personally can never see Dara as a drug user. She likes to drink, as seen on 2NE1tv (and she admitted it herself), but work hard, party hard, amirite? Also, haters snarking on Top and calling him Topaholic because of backstage pics of him drinking from a bottle and that incident of him drunk-dialing his UFO is bullshit. The antis look really desperate grasping at straws.

I know drug charges are a big deal in Korea and Japan, but whateva. I feel like this has turned into a witch hunt and everything is being blown out of proportion because this is finally a chance for anyone and everyone who dislikes 2NE1/Big Bang/YG to bring them down.

I wasn’t really affected much by this because I know, as a Dara fan, that she hardly goes to these kinds of things. She doesn’t smoke and, yes, she might drink, but will not get ridiculously, stupidly drunk and do crazy things. She does crazy while she’s sober. (LOL!) But really, she’s the kind of person who likes to stay home with her family and take pictures of her cat. I’m not saying she’s boring, but Dara says herself (and if fanaccounts are to be believed) that she’s not really a club-goer.

But then I thought, yes – we Dara and 2NE1 fans know this. But what about other people who don’t know Dara as well as we do? I keep thinking, nah. They won’t jump to bad conclusions just because of these pictures. But we can’t tell, can we? There are people there who will choose to think bad things.

So all we can do now is have faith – in Dara, in YGE, the real and casual fans, and that the issue will die down without damaging anyone. Stay strong, Dara and everyone!

They were all at the legal age to party, it was a public event and they were there as performers. It’s not like it was some seedy club that the girls went to half-naked and were pictures doing drugs or anything like that. We know there’s not chance in hell they would do that.
