Dara‘s first solo single ‘Kiss‘ is currently on no. 14 at MNET Countdown. The girl on the pic is Hyuna of 4Minute. She’s pretty no? Anyway, congratulations Dara, CL and Papa Teddy! wooohoo hooo cheers!

News: Most influential in the Philippines, Dara VS SNSD

MTV Korea posted a poll about who’s more influential in the Philippines, Dara or SNSD? Interesting question with an interesting choice of contender for Dara, if you ask me (wink-winks).

This was actually surprising not for Dara but for SNSD. I won’t be surprised if the Wondergirls are there or Rain since both have been pretty popular in the Philippines, especially Bi a.k.a Rain.

News: No BF policy reduced to 3 years

……at least for the pretty unnies Bom and Dara! No confirmations if this also  includes Leadah CL and Minjy though (they’re still pretty young especially Minjy!). But I guess smart CL-roo can get out on this one hahaha.

Yang Hyun Suk ▬”Reduced Bom and Dara’s no-boyfriend policy to 3 years”

YG Entertainment’s head, Yang Hyun Suk sweetly responded to 2NE1‘s cute request.

Yang Hyun Suk saw yesterday (October 13th) night, on SBS’s Strong Heart the members of 2NE1 who requested for the no-boyfriend policy term to go down from “5 years to 3 years” on Money Today, Star news.

He said, “Before debuting, I wanted the girls to focus on music so we made that promise. But he added, “The members of 2NE1 are surprisingly very focused on their music and dance. So I’m considering having the group’s’ Unni’s Bom and Dara to have the non-boyfriend policy term dropped down from 5 years to 3.

On the other hand, on the 13th at SBS’s Strong Heart 2NE1‘s leader, CL said “Yang Hyun Suk and I have made a promise to not have boyfriends for 5 years after debut.” So, MC Kang Ho Dong commented, “So, Dara and Bom can’t have boyfriends until they are 31?” That’s when Dara and Bom asked Yang Hyun Suk to drop the term to 3 years instead of 5, that made people around them laugh.

News: 2NE1 Dara Park, “Yang HyunSeok told me I can’t be a singer”

2NE1 Sandara Park talks about the opportunity she was given to be a singer.

For the 2nd episode of Strong Heart aired on SBS on 13th October, Sandara Park said, “I came down to Korea from the Philippines and Yang HyunSeok who trains singers in Hiphop music told me, ‘You cannot be a singer’.”

She added, “So he persuaded me to do acting. And then when they decided to form a new girlgroup, I was anticipating but I was not given any opportunities to practise.”

“And there was once a chance where I can go sing at the karaoke with Se7en and GDragon. I thought if I do well at the karaoke session, I may be given some opportunity. So I prepared a song and went with them and the atmosphere was fun and then I said ‘I want to try for once’.”

She continued, “After a few days, I filmed in the practice room and showed to president Yang and for the first time he said, ‘I saw potential in you. I am going to give you a month’s time’. And with that I became a singer.”

Meanwhile, during the episode, the 2NE1 members each revealed some truthful talks and also powerful dance performances.

NEWS: 2NE1 is NBSD = No Boyfriend Since Debut

In an article posted at KBites entitled 2NE1, “We were not allowed to have boyfriends for 5 years and it is too much”, it has been revealed that our girls aren’t allowed to have their love-doveys for the next 5 years. So does this mean Dara pairings ain’t gonna happen in real life and no chance for fanboys?  Anyway check out the girls’  ‘ideal guy’ revelations!

2NE1 reveals that they have been forbidden to have a boyfriend in the next 5 years, and how they had used their aegyo (acting cute) to request for the period to be cut down to 3 years.

On SBS Strong Heart aired on 13th October, it was 2NE1’s debut variety show appearance. And CL revealed, “During the 5 years after we debut, we are not allowed to have boyfriends.”

And MC Kang Ho Dong responded, “If that is the case, then member Sandara Park will not be able to have a boyfriend until she is 31 years old. ” CL made a tearful expression and then added, “But there is a way out.”

CL said, “The ‘boyfriend’ physical test. He told us that (our boyfriend) have to undergo a health medical examination.”

With that guest appearance Tablo commented, “My wife-to-be is also a YG artiste, so I have to go for the health medical examination too.”

Sandara Park and Park Bom revealed that they used aegyo to request, “Can’t we reduce it to 3 years?”

CL then added, “So the unnies were given hope when it was reduced down to 3 years from 5 years.”

Meanwhile, Park Bom revealed on the show, “Personally, my ideal type of guy amongst the male entertainer is Brian.”

hahaha! look at Brian‘s reaction! Priceless.

Sandara Park also commented, “I find cute and tough younger guys more attractive than older guys. If I can call (Lee Seung Gi sshi) my dear it will be great.”

Meanwhile, there were 21 guest appearance for the 2nd episode of the show – including 2NE1, Boom, Brian, Tablo, Hong SeokCheon etc.
