2NE1‘s Dara says she’s still waiting for the one to come along.
On the August 14th broadcast of KBS 2FM‘s ‘Yoo In Na’s Volume Up‘, 2NE1 and their new YG labelmate Kang Seung Yoon appeared as guests. When DJ Yoo In Na asked if she had a boyfriend, Dara responded, “Not yet. I don’t have one as usual. I still believe that the one will show up.”
She went on, “I’m trying not to be impatient though. I trust that he’ll come along one day.”
Dara also mentioned what she thinks she has going for her, joking, “I’m so cute and fresh that it gets in the way when I sing a serious song.”
2NE1 are currently promoting their latest song “Do You Love Me“.

if she is dating, she should keep it private like what she is doing now. relationships in korea are always denied unless caught. her actions of being ultra conservative with dressing, keeping a low profile and not being in we got married contradict what she proclaims so it confuses everybody. keep denying so we can keep on shipping her with good looking guys.

I’m happy to note that Dara is a really sensible woman. Only fools rush in. All good things come to those who wait. God doesn’t take His time, but the right time. It will be worth it.
One does need to wait when it comes to love. Love just comes whenever it will and it is better if it will come naturally. Saying you’re waiting for it doesn’t sound very right.
But I’m really concerned with Dara because she is pressured of not having a relationship with a “boyfriend” or not being married yet. It is so backwards.
It does seem to me that Dara is being conservative and traditionalist. But being conservative just limits your options in life and being stuck with traditions can hinder true hapiness. I’m feeling really scared if a woman goes through that route.
“Waiting” in spiritual parlance is synonymous with patience. That’s the context I perceived her comment to be. “Waiting” is not passive because it requires trust.
And I forgot to add: self-discipline. That’s why patience is a virtue.
TBH I’m so tired of hearing about Dara waiting and her complaining about not having a “man”. It’s past 20th century already but I feel like she’s living in the dark ages and follows old stereotypes and tradition and things like that. I hope she could just break free! She is chained by bringing down herself if she only knew.
Dara is a conservative. If you will read her past interviews this girl is very sensible and is not someone who will just jump into a relationship for the sake of it.
Omo I reread my post and I think it looked like I’m suggesting that she should just date immediately! NO actually no, that was not what I meant. I’m just bothered because she said she’s waiting like a princess waiting to for a prince in a tower like that. I really think it’s BS.
Dara shouldn’t be conservative and shouldn’t think that a woman like her should wait. That’s what I wanted to mean.

Dara is not the kind to lie though. Other 2ne1 members’ reaction is always smirking and sometimes just laughing when the topic about Dara’s dating life comes up because she’s not going out with someone yet, she is teased about it. And If she did, their reaction would have been them being quiet rather than laughing or smirking.
But it is kind of acceptable in Korea for celebrities/k-pop idols to lie when it comes to their relationship. Unlike other countries, they prefer their celebrities that way so I’m not going to be surprised if Dara is indeed dating someone already. A gorgeous girl like that can’t possibly be single.
I agree with you Liana. So sad that their culture/netizens would have horrible consequences when they find out a Idol is dating. She has said in the past that her personal life or if she had a relationship, it would be private. Whatever Dara says regarding dating, finding the love of her life etc. I take with a grain of salt. When the time comes and she is serious enough to reveal the man she loves, we Daralings will celebrate and wish her well.

The funny thing is the whole kpop entertainment industry is waiting for dara to date someone. Even the yg president asked dara about it. So if Dara is dating someone, no need to hide it because it’s actually what almost everyone wanted.
